From our first enquiry, Sam and his team were incredibly responsive, helpful, and professional. After meeting Sam in person, it was immediately clear that this was the perfect venue for us. The River House is beautifully located on the river, with stunning surroundings that make for amazing photos - the marina, the footbridge, the public square, and the river itself all provided fantastic backdrops. The restaurant is elegant and spacious, with a glass-fronted bar that easily accommodated our DJ, dancefloor, and photobooth. We were able to use the space not only for our wedding breakfast but also for our ceremony, which made having the entire day in one location seamless and stress-free! It’s worth noting that Saturday weddings may not be possible, as this is the venue’s busiest day, and some special weekends (Easter, Bank Holidays, Mother’s/Father’s Day) may also be unavailable. When you book the venue for a private event, signs are put up to keep members of the public out, and the staff manage this politely and efficiently. They were happy to hide a birthday cake we brought and present it when we were ready. As we were such a large party, the adults had to pre-order with a non refundable deposit of £10 each and the children ordered on the night. All the food is cooked from fresh in house and it really shows in the quality of the food. The food was very reasonably priced as well. The French onion soup, mussels, duck and "Zelensky" are all easy recommendations but make sure you save room for desert. Le Chocolat is absolutely incredible, from every perspective! We were excited to return and despite our high expectations we were not at all disappointed. The meal was superb, with exquisitely balanced flavours and attention to detail. The menu is clearly well practiced with limited variation, but it doesn’t matter as there is plenty to choose from. We had two children in our party (aged 9 and 13) and whilst there isn’t a children’s menu we were able to use a couple of options modified to accommodate them. From the moment we arrived, several members of staff greeted us and let us know our host would be with us shortly. Everyone was attentive, polite, and friendly. I'm not sure we would have found it otherwise as it is over the bridge just past the Pump House, but very glad we did. The staff were attentive from the moment we came up the stairs, it had a good atmosphere and from most tables you can view the waterfront. They had a set menu with a good number of choices or a specials board with again lots to choose from. I had the caprese salad and spaghetti & meatballs from the set menu and my partner had the mussels and the mixed grilled fish from the specials board...all the dishes were well presented and very tasty. We had cheesecake & the Tiramisu for desert, again very tasty. Finished off with a complementary Lemoncello. A lovely evening, definitely recommend if you are in the area

Lunch £17.50 & Eve £23. The starter was Callimari which had no colour and was under cooked so chewy. To be fair the waiter exchanged for meatballs which were OK because of the sauce. I suspect both starts were frozen and were not great as many others also commented fro our group of 10. My main rump steak was good. Though the cheapest part of the meal the chips were few on the plate. Others had potatoes which with mains which were all tasty enough. It is appreciated the set menus were competitively priced, but at the end of the the food has to be great these days for people to come back. Especially with social media. The staff were excellent as was the wine.

Entrance is from the marina side. My friend and I arrived at 7pm and despite not booking we were shown to a table for 2 in the busy restaurant. The menus were clearly priced and we both opted for the two course meal option from the menu. We were also presented with a specials board with plenty of choice. I chose meatballs as a starter and lasagne as a main both of which were superb washed down with Italian lager, so good I had 4 pints. We then decided to have dessert, a creme broulee which again was delicious. Staff were friendly. cleanliness was spot on and the food excellent. The food arrived lukewarm, and the flavors just weren’t there. The gyros were dry, the tzatziki tasted bland and the chips were soggy by the time they arrived. Customer service wasn’t great either when I called to ask about the delay, the staff seemed uninterested and offered no real explanation. Overall, not an experience I’d repeat. Booked as a last minute night away so we could go to the football match swansea v derby. I will never judge a book by it's cover ever again.. upon arrival saw it was over a restaurant but on entry we were greeted with a warm smile very pleasant welcoming.. on being taken up to our 2 bedroom apartment the owner explained everything and on entrance to the apartment I was blown away WOW WOW WOW everything was done in extremely high standard to the fact me and my daughter were moving in there and never leaving lol.we went and ate in the restaurant were we were greeted once again with the most amazing welcome nothing was yo much trouble and they catered for every need and the food was out of this world proper chips not these frozen types but actual proper chips. Even though we had a kitchen upstairs breakfast was free when booking added bonus and once again breakfast did not disappoint and once again catered for our needs.. Very disappointed aswell given the special occasion of a birthday and not impressed with the pricing given the quality of food we received. The service was terrible, staff were miserable and didn't seem to care or have any enthusiasm, nobody came around to ask us for anymore drinks, it even took 20 minutes to find someone to give us the bill. You seemed to be nore concerned with the massive party of 20 individuals sitting behind us. This is not the service we expected to receive and very disappointed at the meal we had here. The service however was awful, after arriving, nobody came to seat us, but there was also not a sign to seat ourselves. There was also no music in the restaurant aside from that which the chefs were listening to, and so the sound of complaints could be heard multiple tables across, or the sound of nothing at all. I've seen many performances here in opullant timeless design and the ability to fill it with amazing atmosphere and attention to detail. The food had plenty of flavour and everyone in my party enjoyed it. I would offer 5 stars if some parts of the service could be improved. It was a busy night so I appreciate the staff working hard. What could be improved is offering menus when being seated as the only menu available for viewing is the one just before you order (which I don't want to say but similar to a fast food outlet which isn't bad just a bit annoying). The menu is awkwardly placed behind a pillar so you have to move around to see it all and possibly disturb some other customers if you don't want to be in the queue to order. I would recommend when you are sat at your table to go onto their website to view the menu there which is far easier. A recommendation for the restaurant would be to have at least 2 people on the counter, 1 to take orders and 1 to get the food ordered as having the same person do both really slows the whole ordering process down, especially on busy nights, perhaps I just went on a night when this was the case. Overall, although my negative section is longer than the positives, they did not ruin my experience and myself and the people I was with would happily go there again and only expand on the negatives as constructive criticism. However, burnt ends were neither burnt nor ends. White BBQ sauce is not a thing in the US, but for those who are curious is basically Mayo mixed with Cajun spice. Missus says my expectations are too high for US BBQ in the UK and me Mum says stop being bougie but for a place flying an American Flag on the ceiling and billing it’s self as US style BBQ I’m gonna judge, even after being in the UK several years. Bathrooms sink faucet was falling apart in the gents. The disabled restroom was out of order and apparently the fancy chain mounted wood slab counter in the ladies was cracked. Loads of Alan Jackson on the overhead. Give it a skip. I’ll not be back, despite delightful waitstaff.

We were there for our sons 21st Birthday, just a small family suprise meal. I had dropped off banners, balloons, party bags and cakes earlier in the day and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. When we arrived later in the evening, the table was arranged as planned and decorated. We had a few starters, the chicken wings were lovely even with Franks Hot sauce, juicy and the meat fell off the bone. Some had steaks cooked to perfection and some had burgers for the mains. No complaints. The staff then brought out the birthday cake, and even some customers joined in with signing happy birthday. Overall a lovely experience, very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely food, very reasonably price. Certainly would go again. Suitable for any occasion. Thank you to all the staff for last night.

It’s really cozy and the staff and owner are ace people . There’s a nice mixed demographic of customers , and no trouble whether you’re just popping or sitting . The have the old fashioned sugar cubes , and use local produce for all their grub and treats . The coffee is amazing and when Bam makes it it’s annoyingly better than even my Italian coffee . They cater for gluten / soy etc but if you have a nut allergy be careful with the cakes as the rustic display isn’t separated but the bagels and toasties are yummy . When I arrived I was immediately impressed with the decor and the atmosphere, staff were polite and friendly. The food was some of the best tapas I have ever had, everything was cooked to perfection and I would highly recommend the croquettes if you go! Dessert was absolutely lovely with a nice mix of different cakes and ice cream on offer. At the end of the night the staff left a thoughtful and personal congratulations on the till receipt which was a really lovely touch and was much appreciated. The whole evening from start to finish was lovely and if your a local or coming else where I would highly recommend mosaic! Prices were incredibly reasonable too. I just wish there was a mosaic in Bristol!!

So today we went to try again. As usual, Shannon was there with her foul attitude and moody face on. We asked for two mango smoothies and she went to do them. A gentleman that i believe is a regular was waiting to be served by the till and when she came out he asked her "where you been?" at which she replied with " TO MAKE THESE STUPID THINGS" which she put down quite forceful in front of me. Shocking and disgusting attitude again. I requested a couple of lids "for the stupid things that I've ordered" and she just threw them in front of me. Wow! I have managed a few places in my catering years and let me tell you this: this attitude is unacceptable. You dont like to work with customers find a different profession. Come on Tesco! You can do better than that.
