I found the pacing painfully slow, I was bored and anxious to leave by the fifth course, but I was also solo, it would have been different if I were with someone. We went for dinner, my partner had the set menu, I had the vegetarian version- it was divine. Really great flavours, beautifully presented, not pretentious or OTT. Opted to go alacarte as the munu (on a blackboard) was not huge but everything sounded tasty. It was Italian inspired plates, delivered one at a time, so best shared. Very honest, almost rustic food, showcasing mostly local and market style ingredients. the wine list (occupying 75% of said blackboard 🥂) is a fresh mixture of local, interstate and Italian wines, a lot of them quite unique and lesser known varietals/blends. The room is quite small, dominated by a round communal table with 5 or 6 smaller tables best for couples. Being a holiday weekend it was a very quiet lunch service which was enjoyable and relaxing with attentive service from the knowledgeable manageress. I imagine it would be a hectic and different vibe if it was busy, especially if a group was on the larger table. All the food was amazing, and we backed up with more cheese brioche and oysters for "dessert" 👍 Compared to Melb/Sydney I felt the prices were reasonable for the higher than average standard of food. The other food is also amazing, all the small dishes are delectable especially the roasted pumpkin. Pretty much all the meat dishes are great. The one and only thing that may be a downside to frank restaurant is that there is a bit of a wait and it might be expensive depending on what you order. All I can say about the wait is too grab a good drink and have good company to chat too! I don’t think the wait for food ruins it at all, it is soo worth it for how good the food is. This was one of the best dining experiences of my life. The staff were fantastic - knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. The wine suggestions by the team were spot on and paired perfectly with the food. We enjoyed a bottle of German Riesling, and a local Pinot Noir that were both sublime. Oddly (which really needs updating by the venue) there is no menu or mention of the more expensive section in this place when you research it on Google maps, so when we booked, we expected to be going to eat some pub grub. When we arrived, we were actually booked in the fine dining section, but as this is the experience we were trying to book in at other places (booked out), we were ok with that. We had 2 cocktails to start and they were very nice. For food, we ordered the garlic infused roll (can’t remember the exact name) as a starter, Pork Belly main and the eye fillet. We have been to some pretty nice restaurants where we are from in Adelaide, but the pork belly was probably one of the best main meals I have ever had, and that says a lot. The fillet was also incredible. We both had an amazing dining experience and would 100% return the next time we visit. It’s a shame this place’s reviews are lower than 4, I suppose due to the bar and the lack of info on the restaurant part of it on google. It really does exceed this rating if you are going for the restaurant part of it.

I had stalked the instagram and was super excited to try it out! The food is presented beautifully, but the taste is a bit bland. We had the Turkish Eggs and French Toast which had the potential to be delicious, but they were both was flavourless. The dining experience was unique, intimate and truly amazing. If there was ever an opportunity for you to eat here, do it. I could not fault a single dish. And eating in a small intimate setting with your jackets being placed in one of the cars was quirky. It isn't cheap, but you get the full experience. Each course is explained to you. The food is sourced with alot care and thought including sourcing ingredients from locals gardens which I loved. Amazing Japanese food, using mostly Tasmanian produce, in a unique setting. A 10 seat kaiseki restaurant so you need to book well in advance: no walk-ins. And, uniquely, in the back of a Lexus showroom if you're looking for a new car. The dishes were superb and very authentic Japanese. My wife is from Japan and was delighted with everything. We sent pix to her family afterwards and they were amazed at just how authentic it was. A standout dish is very hard to pick but the vegetarian chawanmushi, prawn sashimi, and hitomebore with bonito would certainly be up there. Everything else would be a very close second. Sophie & Lachlan, along with Jordan, do everything and were great hosts - engaging, friendly, and knowledgeable. It shows that they researched for 2 years before opening. We were never told this when we were seated. Standing around waiting to pay the bill was a lengthy process. We expected two options, either pay at the table or pay at the counter as you leave. So we have to wait for 2 parties to be seated before we could pay and leave. Would highly suggest separating bill payment and ushering incoming customers since there are more than enough staff. Food is presented nicely, however is very dear for the portion size. Wallaby dumplings, the meat was tougher than the standard consistency of dumpling meat, however tasted okay with the sauce. The duck pancakes was an interesting twist to Peking duck pancakes with smokey duck. This is something you should try if you come here. Pork cutlet was okay, a different twist to crispy skin pork. Market fish was trout, and as always with market price, was much dearer than we expected for two fillets. However the skin was nice and crispy. Vietnamese coffee didn't taste very traditional. The dishes were an interesting and eclectic mix of flavours and styles with an overall broad Asian theme.
