Its not often you find a museum that focuses solely on the UK and it was wonderful to have a full Scottish history way back to the creation of the land. Fish & chips were fantastic. Lovely crispy beer batter and generous portion of both chips and peas. Lovely taste. Add a little slice of lemon and it's perfect. Also ordered 8oz steak. We stopped in for food and drinks on a Sunday around 3pm so it was nice and quiet. There’s a huge menu of cocktails and some of them are on a “happy days” menu so reduced to £6: happy days indeed! Food is largely burgers and pizzas with some mains options thrown in. I ordered the “Revs Chicken Kebab” but they were out of grilled chicken so settled for a burger and a starter of fried chicken. I didn't get potatoes as a side and instead got extra carrots. Totally did not expect them to blow my mind, but wow! Best carrots I've ever had. Garden fresh, perfectly cooked, lovely light glaze. We discovered the amazing lunch menu (2 courses for £20!) and couldn’t resist. We ordered drinks and food, and everything came over promptly. The mussels were EXCEPTIONAL. Staff are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. There are multiple theatres with good disabled access. A well stocked bar and kiosk area.
