Beautiful area! If you haven't seen the bald eagle pair or the massive pelicans out there, hop in your car & take the family right now! Plenty of open space for pets. There are also several picnic tables & a few benches. People come & go often as they are trying to see the eagles. You might have to wait a while to see the beautiful pair, but it's worth it!

I visited Arbor Hills today. I used to frequent this area just to spend time in nature and enjoy my walk. I haven’t been to this area in a while until today because I moved out of the area. But today was a special day because I decided to come back and visit this beautiful nature preserve.
Indeed, Arbor Hills is a nature preserve. As you’re walking this season, you will notice the beautiful grassy plains swaying in the wind. There are an abundant of trails that you can take to explore different areas of the preserve. It is a great place to casually ride your bike and is also a popular destination for photography.
The nature preserve also has a well equipped playground for children to play and bathrooms for men and women and a family bathroom. There is also a picnic area that you can reserve to have gatherings.
Arbor Hills is a great place to walk your dog as they provide poop bags along the main path.
After finishing your walks and explorations, treat yourself to some ice cream from the ice cream truck that usually is parked near the restrooms in the afternoons, ready to happily serve customers.

This park is on a smaller scale, but diverse. There are three types of habitats, with various fauna and flora. The paths are well maintained, easily accessible by strollers, or wheelchairs. There are bike trails.
We walked the cca 2-mile loop in about 40 minutes, but there are more paths for longer walks. There are occasional elevation changes.
The restrooms are not the best looking, but had soap, water and toilet paper.
The best feature is the ice cream truck positioned at the parking lot. The parking lot is quite large, for about 100 vehicles.

One of the Greatest Lakes in DFW. We loved the nature surrounding parks, picnic spot, parking with lots of Amenities this lake has. The scenery is Spectacular. You can do fishing as well. There is an entree fee of $ 7.00 per person. We really enjoyed seeing the Sunset on this lake. It Has picnic tables where you can barbecue & cook as well. This park is awesome for camping we went here on my son's birthday and the campgrounds are very nice and clean and well-maintained and they have really good hiking trails and they have a lake that you can get in it is absolutely beautiful! This place is also good for other trips such as Boy Scout trips which we noticed when we were there a lot of people were taking family trips and group activities such as youth groups and family reunions. Lake is nice. Dining. Ice cream, limited shopping. Beautiful fountains. Really interesting water feature designs. It's a shame there isn't a wading pond or splash pad. All that wonderful water and they want you to stay out of it. LOL. It was super hot the day we were there and we could have used the opportunity to cool off. Several options for places to eat and some offer patio dining with views of the water.
We went in the middle of graduation/cotillion/wedding season. There were so many people trying to take portraits that it wasn't easy to move around and enjoy the scenery, without disturbing others. I'm sure they got beautiful portraits though.

In AllTrails it says it's a loop, it's not in that in some areas the trail just ends so you need to figure out where to pick it up again. The view is beautiful and a nice place to relax and enjoy the view. I would definitely check this place out with the lights. They also have events there. Decided to have birthday dinner here and it wasn't as pleasant as our first visit. The waitress (Skylar?) has zero personality and customer service. What made that even worse is we had a big group so she got a $50 tip for doing the bare minimum. My family brought a cake for my birthday and we were told we could not cut/serve it ourselves, they would have to do it for a fee of $25. $25 to cut the cake that I brought!!?? Absurd! The only thing that was cut was our evening, we ended up having to take the cake back home to finish the celebration. Really sad about this.

Stopped by here on a recommendation from hotel staff near by- it was very lively on a Thursday evening but also big enough location that we were able to be seated in the back since we had small kids with us. We got the appetizer sampler which was good. The taquitos & quesadilla was really good. The chips & salsa were really good as well. Shrimp tacos are a must! Vidorra in Dallas, Deep Ellum location did not disappoint! As soon as I walked in I was greeted with big smiles by the host and the manager, I believe his name was Jose. Since I was by myself I just asked to sit at the bar. Not only my bartender but my server Stephanie was very helpful with the menu. She recommended the sirloin burrito. The steak in the burrito was juicy tender and delicious! Generous amount of food and an endless chips and salsa. Stephanie also recommended the churros for desert and that was a great choice. Not to soft, a little bit of a crunch completed with vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup and strawberries. It was perfect! I loved that I always had a full glass of ice cold water for the my thirst. Very attentive! Even as I paid my bill and left I was greeted out with all smiles by all the staff.
When it comes to Hospitality I’d say the managers/trainers are teaching well.
My overall experience at Vidorra was definitely a 10/10!

Just go to cedar springs or deep ellum before you go here. I followed dress code and I was the only person in my whole party that had to pay $20 to get in. There was no sign or anything. They made me pay $20 while 2 other white men had on similar pants to me. Then on the website it says nothing about the type of pants. Then they were serving drinks past 2am which is illegal in Texas. This place is shady and ran by shady individuals especially security. People write down your number and stuff on the jenga blocks and the staff literally laughed at it. It’s so many safety issues with this place I feel obligated to contact the state board. Especially on over serving AND selling past 2am.

We had such a wonderful time on the Sail with Scott sunset tour at The Harbor in Rockwall, TX. From the moment we stepped on board the Seawolf, the atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and full of good energy.
Captain Scott aka Amy and the first mate were fantastic — friendly, personable, and so interactive with everyone on board. They took the time to chat with guests, answer questions, and even helped capture beautiful photos for everyone throughout the cruise. Their warmth and sense of humor made the evening feel personal and fun, like sailing with old friends rather than strangers.
The sunset over Lake Ray Hubbard was absolutely stunning — the sky lit up in shades of orange and pink as the boat glided effortlessly across the water. Between the calm breeze, gorgeous views, and lively conversation, it was pure relaxation from start to finish.

This bar allows their patrons to sit outside on their back patio that faces an apartment building until 2am and sometimes 3am. It’s unbelievably loud. The back patio should close at a reasonable hour each night so the residents who live across the street can enjoy some quiet time throughout the night without being woken up by loud drunk people. It’s a nightmare living across from this establishment. There are also fights every single weekend that spill out into the street. It’s just atrocious. I hope their ownership has some common sense and chooses to respect noise ordinance and close the back patio down at a reasonable hour each night. Myself and others have already made several calls to the police and have filed a complaint with the city. One way or the other this bar will respect noise ordinance. I just hope they do it on their own before it gets messy with the law. Additionally, they never answer their phone and their mailbox is full so they cannot accept voicemails. So far all I can say is that this is a poorly run establishment. Please have respect for your neighbors. That’s all we ask.

I went here last night with my boyfriends and his friends after watching the super bowl they wanted to get more drinks and while waiting for the drinks a friend offered food that was on the table( my mistake) grabbing a slice of pizza a plate of fries fell and mind you I’m a little passed being buzzed so I wasn’t aware they fell, a guy that claimed to be security( wasn’t dressed like it) started yelling and cussing at me to pick the plate up so I asked him why he was giving so much attitude and if he had told me nicely I would’ve picked it up but another lady popped up out of nowhere also yelling. We got kicked out for that. So unprofessional we are customers that are drinking because it’s a bar! I feel like they could’ve handled the situation differently. Knowing the environment that we’re in it’s their job to talk to drunk people in the right way to not escalate situations. First and last time I go here.

Beautiful bridge, which is surprising considering that it's a major one. The Margaret McDermott Bridge carries Interstate 30 across the Trinity River joining Dallas and West Dallas. But it's only four stars because the nearby Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge is fantastic. Also, there are a few issues with the bridge that needed repair to the sections that carry pedestrians and bicycles.
A concrete bridge, it includes two suspension arches on each side of the bridge that peak at 350 feet high. It is quite pretty with a main span of 1125 feet. Ten lanes of traffic includes one reversible lane that can swap for traffic.
There is no toll to cross the bridge. It is named for philanthropist Margaret McDermott (1912-2018) who donated millions to institutions linked to the arts, education and science.

This is such a cool bridge. The architecture is icon and such an amazing addition to the already beautiful Dallas skyline. Santiago Calatrava really added a great piece of functionality to the city. There are biking and walking trails under the bridge running perpendicular to it and, from my understanding, it is open to walkers on top. It's a pretty bridge, and a major aesthetic upgrade.
