I randomly picked this after seeing their shepard’s pie pictures and knew i just had to come here. First off the atmosphere is incredible, it is a cozy Irish Pub with the best wait staff. Our server was always on top of everything and the food came out at a great pace. Best fries and curry sauce to dip them in, the oysters were SO fresh and delicious, the beef stew and shepherds pie left us absolutely speechless. I cannot say more great things about this place!! The waiting time on a Friday night was reasonable - around 15 mins. The atmosphere and interior were not as breathtaking in my opinion. It felt like it was designed 20 years ago. The staff were reasonably friendly and welcoming. The ID is a must to enter. Fruits of My Labour cocktail was good - even though it reads light it still had a good amount of alcohol. The flavour wasn’t super sophisticated and cinnamon probably dominated but still there was a bit of interesting flavour next to it. Nothing mind blowing but nice. The Lips of an Angel was also nice but maybe slightly less interesting - the orange flavour dominated but still a good one. Aquarium jazz was a seasonal cocktail and probably it was the best one I’ve tried that evening and a really great smoked whiskey base with some stuff on top to balance. Funeral was not as good - the anise flavour and the absinthe dominated it and it did not match my taste at all. Fortunately it was the only disappointment during the night. They don’t have a lot of food options, mainly a few snacks. The nuts were actually walnuts but the walnut taste was not as prominent (a good thing for me) as the nuts were covered in syrup or something like that. Good overall but I wouldn’t try them again as they interfered with cocktail flavour because of some leftover wax-like film in my mouth. I can recommend this spot if you are not able to book any top notch bars in Boston which require bookings in advance. They also include mandatory 20% tip into the bill.

Atmosphere was very cozy and cute. It looks just like the show, 2 bar areas to sit which is where we sat. Pretty busy place, but you can wait around while looking at gift shop which helps time go fast. I would go around opening at 11 am for quicker times. Food was good and beer was cold, along with a wonderful friendly staff. If you’re a cheers fan or want a fun dinner or lunch I’d come here.

If you are visiting Boston and are a Cheers show fan then this place is definitely for you. We did have to wait a little over an hour for a table in the original cheers bar. The experience was definitely worth the wait. We were able to visit the gift shop while waiting. They had a replica of the bar upstairs as well. It’s an option if you wanted to dine upstairs. Not sure what the weight would’ve been. The service was rushed because they had to accommodate so many people. It wasn’t the greatest, but it was not the worst. Our server was running around trying to keep up. No sooner table got up within minutes other people were sat. We ordered the fish and chips. It was OK. It was a decent portion for the amount of money they charged. Would I order it again probably not. I loved the root beer. It was delicious. It was smooth and very refreshing. I ended up going to the gift shop and buying two bottles to take back to ATL. They bubble wrap each bottle so they made it home safely. At the end of the meal you were given the opportunity to buy the chairs mug for $14. Of course I had to buy the mugs as well. I would have taken more photos, but my phone died and had to be charged. So I did some research which lead me to the Shine Square Pub in Cambridge, MA which is a little east-northeast of Boston. Here's how it went! The seasoning was a bit on the salty side and I didn't get a whole lot of cinnamon, but it was there to cut the sauce and give it a extra layer of flavor. First off, unlike a lot of sports bars which have a few large screens and small screens scattered around, this has many small screens everywhere. This way, you're never out of view of a game. It was football Sunday and the bartender Dave recommended seats for us where we could watch our teams game, he kept us hydrated, entertained and fed.
