We felt like visiting our natives place and spending time with family. The property is very artistic and the mudhouse are really a hell of a experience to stay.... being very cozy and comfortable. U will find many small small things handpicked from various sources and this tells how serious and dedicated Sanket is about giving a great experience to their guest, For Example: antique watche, fire flame lamps, mud lamps, floor rugs, handmade copper crockery, unique Tea Cups etc etc.. Watching movie under the stars in an open air theater setup is again iceing on the cake, followed by dinner. Collection of recipes by Sanket and Shruti are amazing. I bet some u have never heard of their recipes and those are the things one must try, I loved the Kala dal and Bhaang seeds ( cannabis seeds) chutney and the home made mango icecream in Dessert. We stay for less than 17Hrs but can write a 20 pages book on the information I gather and experience I had. Surely i missed my family as it was a random trip with one o my best friend but will be visiting back soon but this time with family and few more close friends for a long stay. I had seen so many during childhood but never spent a night in one. When I was researching for options of homestays in Jim Corbett someone referred this place to me. I went through reviews and was sure I have to stay here. Additionally hosts Shruti & Sanket are very hospitable. They are very caring and helpful. The comfort level in room is basic. Bathroom size is good. Landscaping is very green and lot of plants and trees are in its natural form. One can experience real rustic feeling in here. Jungle book movie in evening on screen kept kids engaged. Last but not least one of the biggest highlight of the place is tasty food. Anything and everything we ordered was tasty and different. It was difficult to imagine such a lush green extremely spacious resort in the heart of the city. We were being warmly welcomed by Shri Karan Singh Bisht, the Founder and Alex, the tailed friend. The property has its Reception area, restaurant (closed and open spaces), banquet space for various auspicious occasions at the front and the accommodations are situated at the backside ensuring utmost privacy and comfort. The airconditioned room assigned to us was a nice cozy one with sleek television, electric kettle installed and a tea kit kept in an organized manner. It was fun to walk on the wet grass with Alex jumping here and there giving us great company. The food was great. We had chole bathure, butter toast and chai for breakfast and daal fry, chane masala, butter rotis and lassi for our lunch. The staff members were courteous and friendly. The property has orchards of mango and lichi, the well-curated gardens, cricket net for practice, and a cricket ground for selected cricket matches. And spotting of selected winged species and their chirrupings is a real delight. We had a great discussion with Mr. Karan Singh Bisht and came to know of his endeavours and future plans to give back to society and conserve the environment. All furniture in the room was like it's too old to use. Stale smell was present in the room as it the room was closed for long. TT table rackets was broken and same with pool table sticks. Swimming pool was also dirty and kids one had a lot if algae. Buffet breakfast was also below standard. No strong wifi available. We were not able to open simple Apps. We we requested reception guys to fix it, no help was given. I believe they were not even trying to make our experience a better one. As I mentioned earlier - this place might have been cool 15-20 years before but right not it's in a dismal state. Please don't go by the pictures on different websites as those pictures are too old.

We LOVE it there. It is perfect for us. Food is fabulous, our “lodge” room is huge, well-appointed, very comfortable and has porch in the treetops. The staff is large and very kind and helpful in every way. The jeep safaris were well-organized, professionally guided and full wondrous scenes. We saw no tigers (lots of footprints), but enjoyed all three very much. What we liked the best at Jim’s is that it is very quiet and peaceful throughout the facility.
