We knew after our first visit we'd be coming back. The inn is in a great location. Each room has its own personality and maintained beautifully. The owners & staff are incredible. Emilie, the owner is the most remarkable chef. Breakfast is always two courses, starting with homemade yogurt topped with granola( homemade) and always with fruit of some sort. We've had an incredible quiche with a blend of grits, eggs, and cheese. Her pastries are from scratch. She spoils her guests with homemade cookies she sets out for them to enjoy whenever they choose.

It's tucked away in a quiet neighborhood but close and convenient to downtown. The gardens on the property are lovely. My room was spacious and the bathroom had really soft towels and a huge clawfoot tub plus access to a private balcony. The bed and sheets were comfy and clean. The B&B provides a sheet with local restaurant recommendations and a history of the house. The morning breakfast was light but featured local coffee, bagels, fruit and juice. It was a most comforting and fulfilling stay. Although I suspect that they are having to run on a bare minimum of staff, it did not show in the condition of the Dogwood Cottage in which we stayed or the appearance and warmth of the main house. It is NOT an actual bed and breakfast. Super disappointed at the whole process. I called ahead of time for more information about a room same day and got voicemail. Left a voicemail and no one called me back. I tried to book through the actual bed and breakfast (found out they don’t even serve breakfast after we paid, only bagels!) We saw that they were down to one room and needed a place to say so we attempted booking online (since no phone call back) but were shuffled through to booking.com which we found out later overcharged us by about 50.00. I asked the innkeeper about it when we arrived and she said there was nothing they could do and it was dismissed. It’s annoying because I called them to book over the phone to avoid any confusing but they didn’t answer and didn’t call me back. When we arrived she greeted us and that’s when we were told they don’t even have breakfast. The entire reason for booking a bed and breakfast is because of the breakfast! The really terrible thing is that when we booked, special requests are taken at booking and we requested a no egg hot breakfast to which we received a confirmation email stating they would accommodate this at no extra charge. There’s no updates on their website stating no breakfast will be served nor anything about this on Google. In fact, the reviews still show a fabulous breakfast and here we were with nothing but bagels. Very upsetting. To make matters worse, this was our first getaway (in years) without kids to celebrate our anniversary and we only had one night to stay. We are extremely disappointed. We had to check out early to go find food due to my dropping blood sugar levels from lack of proper food options. Definitely do not recommend at all. We chose the only bed in breakfast in Asheville without an actual breakfast. We have had nothing but great experiences with other B&B options in the area.

My friends and I went to watch sunset on the terrace at the Grove Park Inn. It was so much more - life size gingerbread house in the lobby, large roaring fireplaces, and the view overlooking the groups and mountains at Sunset took my breath away. We all had a glass of wine and appetizers on the patio as the sun went down. I recommend looking for seating about 40 minutes to an hour before sunset as it does start to draw a crowd. Dress warmly in the winter! The covered deck has heaters but not the terrace seating. After sunset we walked through the halls and learned more about the Inn’s rich history. Day parking is $30 but around sunset the lot fills up. We have a 23' RV and we did find a spot down by the sports center parking. The restaurants are very good and some have spectacular views. Walking around the hotel is a walk full of amazing Mission furniture and decor, historic photos, and more spectacular views. It's very easy to get lost here, so if you do, enjoy it. I have been known to sit and enjoy cocktails in the lobby bar so I could do a little people-watching. The lobby is massive, historical, beautiful, has 2 fireplaces large enough to walk into, AND you never know who you'll see there. To me, it's as historical as the Biltmore Estaste, in the form of a hotel. Be aware there is security at the approaches, and parking is free for the 1st hour. Parking stamps are available at some places in the hotel, (shops/restaurants), but don't assume it's free if you're just coming to explore. Their spa is world renowned, appointments required. Worth the stop if grandeur works for you.

Found the Sweet Biscuit Inn, and we're so glad we found this hidden gem. The hosts Susan and John were great! They made you feel right at home. The rooms are spacious and have a nice large bathroom. They have wine in the evening that you can enjoy on the porch seats or swings and homemade cookies on arrival. The 3 course breakfast the next morning was amazing! We rented out the entire hotel for our wedding weekend and it was truly special to be at the Princess Anne with our family and friends. While staying there, we loved getting to know the staff (especially Acorn), the rooms were so comfortable, and the grounds were lovely. The day of our wedding, my bridesmaids and I took over the downstairs living room area and my partner had a lot of fun getting ready in one of the large suites with his wedding party. Also, we hosted our wedding welcome party at the hotel - Acorn did an amazing job bartending and Sam collaborated with our wedding coordinator/caterer. We got lots of feedback from our guests that they loved this event! Most importantly, the staff and Princess Anne created an setting for all of us to really bond and enjoy our time together during the wedding weekend. The hosts are incredibly kind and gracious. The attention to detail on the property and in the house are impeccable. We have stayed at numerous B&Bs throughout the years, and this one, by far, was one of the best. The place settings were elegant and the breakfast was equally as good. Cherie made some delicious snacks that included coconut chocolate chip cookies and cheesecake brownies. Our room was well appropriated but we really didn't spend much time in the room as there are so many things to do in Asheville. There is also a happy hour from 5-6 on the porch which has a fabulous view of the surrounding mountains. This establishment is conveniently located close to downtown. We walked (about 1.5 miles) to enjoy the outside to go downtown and not have to deal with parking.

Our hosts Patti and Bear were very accommodating. The breakfasts they offered were nothing short of Fantastic!. Our favorite was Bear's waffles. Even though there were other guests in the Inn, there were many quiet areas to read or simply just listen to the wind and mountain birds and animals. I especially liked the rocking chairs on the deck and my wife enjoyed the swing in the garden. We both being entertained by their two gentle dogs, Bailey and Maddie, as well as their cat Millie. Especially nice is that we were only a few minutes from downtown Ashville and several first class restaurants. We highly recommend this Inn for great food and a quiet relaxing vacation. The atmosphere is phenomenally inviting and indicative of a country kitchen. The service was well above part despite it being a busier than expected late night for the waitstaff. The hostess stand and line to be seated however leaves something to be desired, and that process should be improved. The menu was varied and provided good portions and value. We sampled over a half dozen different main and side dishes. Also, the biscuits with a variety of butters and jams were an amazing introduction, and also benefit the Hurricane Helene relief effort. The standout of the show however was the grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. Far and away the best tomato soup we’ve ever had, even if you’re not a fan of the dish, it’s worth a try. Close to central downtown. Asheville Trolley stops right in front making access to town easy. Service is EXCELLENT. I was with my annual Pediatric group and the breakfast and lunch buffets were very good. Staff was attentive, polite, and professional. Dog policy was so helpful. Plus there's an available area to walk the dog which includes baggies and a receptacle. There are very nice extended walking areas beyond the hotel too which allows for a longer time for the dog to be out. The tech people were everpresent but without being obtrusive and they kept the podium and tech needs completely on time for our speakers. Sandy, at the front desk, was particularly helpful and cheerful. The hotel waived the overnight parking fees for our big group which was a wonderful gesture which we all really appreciated. The big outdoor covered veranda was so welcoming and a great place to eat, enjoy quiet conversation, have an outdoor break from the meeting but in close proximity to it. Very good complimentary breakfast. Excellent biscuits, waffles, sausages, and delicious berries. They even have fresh milk for your coffee. For an extra $25 you can get late check out at 2pm. Cons: Overall the breakfast was truly great, except for the scrambled eggs. They seemed like they were made from powdered eggs. I thought the late check out was a good idea, until the front desk called to tell us it was time for us to leave. We explained that we had paid for late check out. He claimed i was yelling at him which i was not but i was physically and mentally exhausted, so I tried to apologize to him.And he yelled at me further and told me that I can leave, and i'm not going to stay there. When i left the lobby and walked to my car, i ended up having a horrible anxiety attack and collapsed right in front of my car door. Then the night manager came outside to tell me to shut up or he was going to call the police. I did my best to get myself back together but he kept coming outside to yell at me more. I tried to drive out of the parking lot and almost crashed. This so called night management should not be allowed to treated people like that. I am so angry that my nephew who is Marine, a husband,an amazing father and just awesome person doesn’t get live but this monster night manager does. Life is so unfair. Shame on best western for employing a person who treats others so poorly. My best advice is, if you're going through an awful time in your life dont book a room there. What an amazing location with three levels of decks overlooking a natural wildflower garden with the soothing sounds of multiple water features. We sat for a few hours watching the hummingbirds come to the feeders and flowers along the main level. We started to explore some of the trails in the area, but got turned away by mosquitoes. Bug spray is provided, but it was time to go pick up some dinner a few miles away. The rooms had a rustic feel but were well appointed, and the gathering space in the main portion of the lodge (including a pool table and fireplace) is welcoming. The made-from-scratch breakfast was delicious and all the staff (including Ashley, our host for the night) were great. We will definitely be back for another visit.

The guests were thrilled. Though I have traveled the world many times over for work and pleasure, and stayed in thousands of hotels, suites, resorts - I can honestly say I’ve never experienced a better example of true hospitality than at Bentcreek Lodge, lovingly led by Innkeeper Randy Claybrook. The room itself was spacious and beautifully designed, the bed was beyond comfortable, and we truly slept so well after a long day of travel. Their host Phil went above and beyond to make me and my party comfortable while we waited for a table to open up.
