It made me very happy to get to look though such a great science, science fiction and computer sections. I bought a book I didn't know existed and saw many others that were quite pleasing to learn about. Good computer book sections are getting harder to find and I really liked them including some electronics books too. I kept thinking how big and well stocked the place is. It has some used books mixed in so students on tight budgets can find an affordable gem too. The fiction and kids sections are gigantic too and the store is friendly and well staffed. With a really nice display of banned books up front that I thought was informative and fun. I'll certainly go back here every time I'm in Santa Cruz from now on.

I was shopping for a gift and asked for help from the staff and they helped me pick out several items. I was fully transparent that I wasn’t sure if my friend would like the gifts and was never told my items were non refundable or exchangeable when I purchased $250 worth of items. My items were literally still in the original gift wrapping they did. I could understand if I purchased items that could be hazardous or unsanitary to return, but fully boxed and sealed items should be excluded from this policy OR you should be a business with integrity and actually tell your customers that items are final sale upon check out.
