When I asked the waitress for beverage menu, she roses her brows and said they don't have it and asked us what we want. This is NOT because this waitress has bad service, in fact, NO training is given to her, as she is not the single case I experienced at the breakfast, the hostess was pretty much the same gesture and manners. Food that I took to my table, 80% would be dumped into the trash, same as the other tables. What's a wastage of resources!! Overall, I had experience staying in the aging hotels of some big names, so what I am expecting from them would be their top notch service, but really, this is one of my most disappointing experience.

Exposed TP -Link router with messy wires under an open table is rare experience. Walking to switch day and night curtains is a chore for a premier room. Need to be more high tech in room amenities. Breakfast is sumptuous but F&B needs to consider alternative menu for long stay guests. Overall Concierge team did a great job in helping to reserving tickets for scenic spots in advance, escorted check-in done in room for comfort and adding WeChat for immediate assistance. We had to drive to all the nearby attractions, the Forbidden City, Tianamen Square, etc as they were just a bit far to walk. I would not go back to this hotel.

Let down was the pool happend to be closed for cleaning, during my entire 5 night stay, which was the main reason I picked this hotel. Another issue was the military parade everything was closed around hotel, and staff were not sure if we could even leave hotel or not so we lost 2 travel days, as we were stuck in the hotel. The aircon was weak to nonexistent. Lobby was a pleasant temperature and Beijing has been scorching hot. My hotel room displayed a constant temperature of 28 throughout the day and night, no matter how low I turned the control panel by the bed. As the hotel is fitted with down duvet and lined with down lining, I would wake up in sweats constantly at night. 4. I ordered room service twice during my stay. Once I ordered a club sandwich, after calling guest service asking where the food is after 40 min, the food was finally delivered. The sandwich was cut into 4 pieces, one of them had the bottom slice of bread missing completely, and the others were loosely put together by picks. Not sure what went on there. 5. Last but not the least, I noticed the coffee cups if not all cups in my room were never replaced during my entire stay. I know the cups were never replaced because there was one coffee cup with a very distinct crack in the middle and I deliberately used it for coffee every day.
