Not sure what this means but my good the place needs to be knocked down and rebuilt. A slip hazard. I went for a jacuzzi and found a plaster floating in the water, with sand and dirt at the bottom of it. It’s clearly not been cleaned in a very long time. The room was spacious and comfortable with two double beds. Even with the radiator off, the room stayed quite warm — there’s no air conditioning, but a fan is provided. I had a double room and it was spacious. The beds were comfortable, the furnishings were nice and the wallpaper and linens were very nice. The bathroom was large and very pretty. The location of Castle Hotel is exceptional. Located on a clean, quiet street. They are somewhat out of the hustle and bustle, but still closely located to anywhere you may want to go in the city. I can’t recommend this gem of a hotel enough. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and if in Dublin again will stay here without any hesitation whatsoever.

Online and self check in worked a breeze. Room service was quick despite the hotel being really busy with several events. Very short walk to the Dart to access city centre and easy walk back from the Aviva. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. The only reason this isn't a 10 is the car park is very tight, we read this before going and we drive a medium sized car which made the bends of the entrance fine, but pillars in the car park really half the number of spaces. Great facilities if in a business suite, I’ve been told to avoid if not. Just check what kind of room you get. The business ones are lovely, others are outdated with a lack of plug sockets and located in areas that even a deep sleeper would find difficult to cope with. I missed two nights of staying at the hotel due to flight cancellations so a colleague contacted them stating I will be a later check in and informed them of the date/approximate time, I went to check in and they put someone in my room so they moved me. I had 28 per night put aside for expenses, went down for breakfast and was told I’m not on the list and they would have to contact reception to allow me to have breakfast. They investigated it and said I’m only allowed one meal a day and I would have to speak to reception. After speaking to reception they understood I have not claimed the money that has been put aside, they confirmed that the money had not been used so said I shouldn’t have an issue when going down to the restaurant and won’t have to pay. They also stated they would inform the restaurant so I do not face another issue. I had dinner that evening and had my bill put on my room. The next morning I went to check out at 5am. When using their check out kiosk (there was no staff to speak to due to the time) it made me pay. I had to pay to check out even though there was money put aside for the very reason of reducing the hassle of claiming the money back. The hotel itself is fantastic; the staff is great. The attention to detail is great. The turndown service is great. The breakfast is great. My biggest problem (and it was big) is that there are some rooms in the hotel (we were in one) where you cant escape the loud music from the pubs/clubs below. If you stay on a weekend then definitely make sure to ask if you can get a quieter room. Additionally, there was quite a bit of construction going on around our room and we constantly heard sawing noises. I would stay here again because the location is perfect and the staff is amazing, but I would definitely make sure I wasn't facing the same street that I did on this trip.

We booked a package that included a complimentary upgrade, cocktails, and late checkout, none of which were properly delivered. We had a two night stay for a family occasion recently. From the moment we arrived we had the warmest of welcomes. Everything was very clean and comfortable, though I would have appreciated slippers and a bathrobe, which are usually expected in a four-star hotel. However, we only found out during check-out that we could have taken our dog to breakfast and sat on the terrace. The whole hotel is very new and modern. Maybe not very close to the city centre but I really appreciated the position next to the Imma Garden walk and close to Dublin Heuston train station. Rooms are huge, clean and furnished with all comforts. Leisure club is remarkable, I'm not surprised they have a lot of external guests form the very opening time, with a nice indoor pool and a gym equipped with a lot machines and equipment to do most of the cardio and weights workout. One gripe I have is that water is only provided on check in day. That is not five star service and of course leaves a terrible taste in the mouth of a guest who, when staying multiple nights has many opportunities to exercise their opportunity to near-unlimited beverages at the breakfast buffet. Everything about this experience was utterly exceptional. The attention to detail was outstanding, Victoria provided us with a beautiful secluded location in the Ballroom Lounge, added little touches like personalised menus, subtle acknowledgement of dietary requirements and displaying cake and balloons so beautifully. We had our wedding in The Marine Hotel in September 2025. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, every single member of staff at the Marine Hotel went above and beyond for us. They really couldn’t do enough for us and all the personal touches meant the world to us too. The hotel itself is so beautiful, with the most stunning views, and we were so lucky to have perfect weather that allowed us to get our photos taken outside overlooking Dublin Bay. We want to say a huge, heartfelt thank you to each and every member of staff, you are all amazing! Every person we met was so kind, helpful, and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect for us and our families. A very special thank you to Veronica and Ruzel, who were beyond amazing. You were so kind, thoughtful, and supportive and both by our side every step of the way over the few days. Veronica you were such a pleasure to deal with from the start and helped us so much with everything along the way. We are so so thankful. The Marine Hotel is a fantastic place in the heart of Sutton. Management and staff go above and beyond to take real care of their patrons which is something that one hasn’t found around the world. I was there for a post funeral meal, walked in and asked the receptionist where it was - who didn’t have a clue. No sign or directions in lobby which was the minimum one should expect. I ended up sitting in the cafe and missing the dinner - only realising where it was being held as I was leaving. Apparently this hotel has just been bought but they seriously need to pull their socks up - they have very little skill and even less interest in making guests feel welcome. Go elsewhere.

The beds were comfortable and shower nice and big. I kind of chuckle when its advertised as a “view of the church” when in fact all you can see is the tip of the steeple… you see more of the hotel ledge and street below than the church. With this said, im not really spending time looking out my window anyways. The breakfast was decent, staff in restaurant were attentive and pleasant and breakfast service was quick. The only thing I’d complain about is the parking situation… the car park has very minimal spots available and it is extremely tight, so much so I could not open the back door of the car without hitting the post. There’s also a ridiculously high cost to park here so be warned if you have a rental vehicle. All said, we had a fantastic stay and can’t say enough good things about the wonderful front desk staff, maids, and restaurant servers... great customer service! I do feel with the added parking cost on top of the already costly room it made for an expensive stay but nonetheless, a great one! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a central place in Dublin close to major attractions. Thanks for an enjoyable stay!

The food at Rayleighs really stood out, all meals we ate had a well balanced flavour profile and cooked just right. Onto the room, we stayed in the O’Connor room which had a “timeless style” feel to it and is super cosy. The beds are comfortable and the rain drop shower head is a nice feature. The gym is to a high spec along with the suna and hydro pool, it is worth noting the gym gets busy and the hydro pool/ Suna is over looked by gym floor so might not be a fully relaxing experience. Finally, access to a pub next door is a fun quirk along with a nice coffee shop located in the lobby. Overall, this is a great hotel to stay at and would highly recommend for Dublin

We booked it as it’s max a 5 minute walk from the arena! That was great. Otherwise we had a few issues so I’m writing this review for people to bare these in mind: We’re a couple in our 20s, so booked the Warehouse Cosy room knowing it was tiny. It was veryyy small, so pack lightly as there’s no wardrobe/not much room to leave our suitcase open. Check in was easy though, the facilities were nice. However I really struggled to sleep. Every morning, even on a Saturday, I was woken up by the building work happening next door at 7am or earlier. I’m a heavy sleeper too so I was surprised by this! Getting into the city without a car is tricky from The Mayson. We didn’t realise we needed a Leap pass to get the buses (so make sure to sort that out or take out some coins to pay). The hotel is very much in the “financial district” (bit like Canary Wharf in london), hence the crazy building work happening on the skyscraper next door. Reception luckily had earplugs for us to use (so seems like they get that complaint a lot 😬). Our room generally wasn’t very sound proof - we were right near the entrance to our floor, so could hear people going in and out and shutting the door right outside our door. If I was staying here for any longer than 3 nights I would’ve asked to move rooms facing away from the construction site. Or would’ve looked into other options if I’d known there was so much building work happening nearby. Otherwise we had a good time and were very snug!

Booked and paid for a treatment package with Dawson spa in the hope of having a relaxing time however it turned out to be a nightmare! Booked my treatments about a month prior only for the business to call me 5 hours prior to the appointment to cancel it due to staff not being available. As the only solution I was offered was rescheduling, I told them I would call back to schedule a new date as their call was during a work lunch and I was assured that there are availabilities at any time. (I called back an hour later, a day later, 2 days later, a week later, two weeks later Multiple times, leaving a voice message to be called back as no one answered however there was still no answer nor call back). I finally sent an email explaining the situation, and after multiple back and forth emails that took days, I was offered an upgrade on my package yet STILL no booking nor a question about it. I then communicated that I am still trying to get a booking and that is the main issue. I was asked to send dates that would be available and so I did however still no reply. I decided to go into town that Morning to the business itself and speak to them in person in the hopes that this will be sorted! Staff then told me to send an email and their manager will contact me!!! I proceeded in explaining my situation so they asked me to leave a phone number to be contacted by the manager (Maureen) once she is back. Although I had already shared my contact information via email with her, I did that again with the staff and left. I finally received a call at 7:30pm that day to tell me that there is no availability for another FIVE Weeks. THE TREATMENT: The Massage was OK. I cannot say that it was bad however it certainly was not good. The Facial was decent. I actually think that the products that were used and the technique were good. The head massage was not good and I personally found it to be annoying as I specifically asked twice for no oils/creams to be used on my scalp/hair for medical reasons however my request was completely ignored which is very ignorant. CONCLUSION: I am not sure I would recommend this place as there are multiple other, much professional options in this price range.

The receptionist told me that only the owners could authorise a refund, but they were “on holiday” and unavailable. For weeks I kept following up, only to be given the same excuse and no resolution. In the end, I was charged twice and received nothing in return. Beyond the money, what’s worse is the complete lack of accountability, professionalism, and honesty. This has been one of the most frustrating customer experiences I’ve ever had. I don’t normally leave negative reviews, but this experience has been appalling.
