The hotel is a little old but the rooms were spotless and beds VERY comfortable. The staff (all of them) were amazing and accommodating considering our language barrier (well lack of Italian) the breakfast was varied and excellent and the evening dining was extremely good. The service in the whole hotel went above and beyond. We used the spa and they only allow whoever books so you have it all to yourself. The massage therapist was great too. Cannot say anything negative at all. And very central to everything with only a 25 min walk to the “old town” of Bergamo and the shops a few minutes walk.

The staff could do with training in customer service. While one receptionist was ok, the rest barely looked up from their computers when we walked in and out. There was mould in the shower and the furniture in the room was very basic, no drawers and very little space for anything. The breakfast was nice but when food was taken it wasn't replaced and the hot water was so hard to get from a tiny machine used for coffee and water for tea, not adequate as every morning the staff had to constantly fill up the empty water container ( it wouldn't cost much to have a separate hot water machine for tea. Also I had to use a tiny coffee cup as the mugs were constantly being cleaned in the dishwasher and when I asked for one , I again got a rude answer ( being washed) .
