The hotel itself looked great and is situated on the grounds of its own full size golf course. Staff were very helpful on arrival. The room we chose, maybe a little dated to some was fine. It had everything we needed. The restaurants were clean and well set out. The food and choice of menu was excellent with good portions at a reasonable price, as were the drinks at the bar. The location was obviously a bonus, with the beach only being 50 meters away from the hotel. Skegness was a short walk. Approximately 10-15 minutes. You could either walk to the pier via a beach walk or into the town through a couple of roads directly. Pubs, clubs and restaurants to suit all were in close proximity.

Overall was a let down, but there were nice parts of the stay, including the bar and evening food which were amazing. It was right next to the beach which was nice. The room itself was very clean and tidy, and was cleaned brilliantly everyday, but was located on the side of the road which was the dissappointing part. We were woken every morning at 7am by noisy cars and trucks outside the window, followed by shouting, banging, glass clattering. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and we didn't really sleep all week. The breakfast was extra every day, and was not worth it. All the breakfast hot food was dry and salty, and the coffee was disgusting (only did it once). For about £500 for 4 nights was well overpriced and we wont be coming back. I even got an email to send info to if we weren't happy, I got a reply which was essentially 'I'll pass this on' which was dissappointing to day the least. Wouldn't reccomend

Paid £180 for a 1 night stay for 4 of us in the "flat". It was the absolute pits. No hot water. no soap curtains looked like they had come out of a skip. The whole place was filthy and had bare wires everywhere. No staff there apart from check in time @3pm. Although there's no actual reception there was a fellow guest who contacted the owners. We then had to confirm that we'd paid the £50 deposit we'd sent that was on top of our room price. Once that was done we were sent the code for an external Keysafe which held our room key. The room was clean, tidy and well furnished just unfortunately very cold due to the weather and also because the windows had been left open prior to our arrival.. The heating isn't independent therefore the room was really cold for most of our stay and the heating isn't on all the time. The extra blankets in the wardrobe were used which meant once in bed we were warm. However I didn't expect to freeze for the majority of my stay. The view from the room is great though and in the summer I'm sure the room temperature would be better.

Welcoming hotel on the seafront, just been for 5 years in a row. Owned and ran by a really lovely couple, bar is decently priced and there is always a nice relaxed atmosphere. Like pretty much all hotels everywhere in the UK that are over a few years old the walls are thin; if you want soundproofed rooms find a newer hotel. I felt safe being there and safe with the breakfast arrangements that are currently being followed. Cooked breakfast is always very nice!! I am including a photo of the cooked breakfast currently available minus my toast (Please note coffee in photo is from McDonald's not The Grand Hotel) I would be happy to visit again next week but next year will have to do 🙂

The downfall is its not very secure, there is no reception so you have the phone a number to get a key code. The rooms are spacious however they need better cleaning in place. There is no parking,. It did not feel safe and you have to pay a £200 security deposit. With some care and attention and a proper reception in place this could be a good hotel. I would not recommend it at the moment unless it's a group of lads or girls just wanting a bed and shower. It's not good for couples or families.

We stayed in the touring section of the site which was adequate but dated. Cleanliness could have been much better but some of this is attributed to our fellow guests and not just the site. However a the showers /toilet block could do with a really good deep clean and simple things like a plug for the sink would be a grade help.Plenty to do on the site and the bar area is very good with very nice outside area. Staff were great unfortunately the hotel accommodation left a lot to be desired? Very outdated,brown furniture only 1 bedside cabinet! Bed not comfortable,bathroom door didn't close properly.lights some did not work,others bulbs needed changing. No glasses in bathroom,no comp water or biscuits on tea tray. BUT the worst bit was to come! We were having a break for a couple of days. Only to be woken at 7.30 / 8.00am by workmen refitting the bedroom next door! Drilling banging etc... surly they had this work planed ? Should gave been moved.... I think.the hotel falls we short of its 3* rating..........

Never again after last week (Easter holidays) the rooms are very basic, had to wait for a table for breakfast in the mornings, when we did manage to get seated we then had to wait for food to be replenished, not much choice. I seriously think some training needs to be done regarding customer service and the scruffyness of staff members. We will definitely not be returning.

We opted for a caravan so I don't know what the hotel rooms are like but the caravan was amazing, really spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Onsite there was plenty of entertainment for the kids and later entertainment for adults, they had several kids parks, numerous little ponds around the site with geese and ducks, on site chip shop, arcade restaurant, indoor swimming, shop, and mini golf. There was a separate activity centre with another park, climbing walls, archery, a bear grills escape room and more! We all greatly enjoyed our time here and we were sad to leave, we hope to return at some point (even the 3 hour journey wasn't all bad!) oh and the beach was a five minute drive with an abundance of parking available. Only downside is that the onsite shop and restaurant was very pricey so I do recommend buying what you need from the Lidl or B&M just down the road.

Positives good parking, excellent location and breakfast was ok. Things to improve attention to detail I had phoned in advance to ask for a simple request when our room was being made up but this wasn't carried out, 1 set of towels for 2 people again attention to detail goes along way. Cleanliness the whole hotel needs a good look at itself the hallways smelt of musty and not very nice but the room we were in had the thickest dust I have ever seen on all the walls and furnishings, the vent was caked in dust as was the extraction fan absolutely awful. Carpet needs a good clean as do the furnishings. The bedding was dirty and the kettle unusable as it needs throwing or a very deep clean.

The staff could not do more for you at this place, multiple times we’ve had special requests for random stuff like extra pillows, certain food for my youngest and even when poorly they stored the medicine in their own office fridge so our holiday wasn’t interrupted and was still made easy. We booked a large double which showed pictures indicating it was on the ground floor which was what we needed. The room was huge and had everything we needed , the bed was extremely comfortable and l had a really good night sleep, it was clean and quiet, there was ample tea and coffee, the TV was a good size and although the furnishings are a little dated l haven’t deducted a star because they added to the charm of the room ! The managers were really nice and helpful so would l stay here again? Absolutely

We were sat for 50 minutes, putting our hands up waiting for service. The staff kept coming out and pretty much ignoring us. After 30 minutes waiting, a gentleman came and took our order, but never returned with the drinks! We only ordered half a pint and half a pint of lemonade. It wasn't a massive or complicated order! He then came out and started taking more orders from other customers. Very poorly ran, we would have stayed for the entertainment if we had been brought our drinks! But we gave up. I won't be returning and would advise others to avoid and go to another place that values their customers. Such a shame of a pub that is located in a great spot.

The decor in the themed rooms and all around the hotel are amazing, pretty, quirky, and unique. Our room was large with a huge, comfortable four-poster bed. The website warns the bar is fairly lively and we'd booked rooms away from this in case the noise kept our kids awake - we didn't hear any noise from the bar. Whe we were going out the main door we came across a man an his teenage son who could not get in the main door he was not given any codes to any door I gave him the phone number which I phoned about our room and he was ringing it for over half hour and got no answer so he left. Booking and paying for an accessible ground floor apartment for myself, husband and my elderly parents (who rely on oxygen to walk) means nothing to these rude employees. After travelling several hours we arrive to an unstaffed hotel with no code to get in. Called the hotel and a rude employee arrived to let us in to tell me they had no accessible ground floor room (the apartment I was told was booked for me). She was completely useless in helping so the manager arrived to also confirm there was no accessible room for my disabled guests. The manager then expected my elderly father whilst using oxygen to walk to another hotel through a dark, dirty alleyway. I went on his behalf as this was completely unacceptable to ask him to do to then discover the other hotel also cannot fulfill our requirements (the requirements I was assured on the phone could be met). Long story short, myself, husband and elderly parents were then left with no where to stay at 8:30pm. Save yourself from these heartless money grabbers and book a decent hotel.

Just got home after staying in Room 9 for 3 nights. Firstly , the freshly cooked breakfast is to die for. Kat is an amazing hostess with an incredible eye for detail and an exceptional memory. Room was tastefully decorated and nicely proportioned. If I could make a couple of points. The shower tends to send water onto the floor of the bathroom (a shower door would solve this issue?), and an extractor fan in the bathroom would be an improvement. It was our first time in Skegness and lucked out when picking this place. The room was comfortable, just the right size with en suite shower and loo. Freeview TV. Plus tea and coffee etc. The whole place was clean and tidy, well looked after. Full Breakfast was excellent, well cooked and good size portions. Other options also available porridge, cereal, toast etc. Located no more than a 5-10 walk to the main promenade or local shops. No problem parking either, plenty of space. Our host Angelique made us feel welcome from entering the property and her professionalism shone through as our time progressed. In your room you will find a very helpful manual with contact details for the host if required along with a list of things to do in and around Skegness. Our room itself was spacious and suited our needs. The shower was on the small side so anyone who perhaps struggles and requires a bath maybe ask before booking if this is available. Breakfast was lovely and always fresh. The bacon was especially delicious and you get plenty of toast along with cereals and fresh yoghurts etc. We certainly were setup for the day after eating this. On the first day the hosts daughter took our order and she was so pleasant and sweet and a true credit to her parents. If only all kids were like her these days! There is a room downstairs for you to relax in but we went out daily as you get a key to access the property at anytime so you can come and go as you please. Overall it certainly was value for money and I will definitely return as even upon our departure we were allowed to leave our luggage with the host and enjoy another day in Skegness and head back later to collect them, another nice touch from our host Highly recommend staying here

Very easy to find with parking available on the grounds . The beds were very comfy and the rooms were well equipped with tea coffee,glasses even as far as a tea towel and sponge to wash up if needed. All of the rooms have been decorated to a very high standard, are spotlessly clean and the beds are super comfy. Gerry and Isabel are wonderful hosts and serve an exceptional breakfast. The location is fantastic, just minutes from the beach, but lovely and quiet. This was our first visit this year but we hope to return in a few months time.
