Want a late check out even if your a member? that's $25 an hour. Wanna park? That's $35 because there was no clear signange on where to part if you didn't want valet. The bed and pillows were atrocious - and get this, there's an advertisement in the room indicating that you too can have your own davenport bed at home and that if you buy one the price of the room goes towards your bed order. I don't know, I was really excited to stay here but feel disappointed and won't be staying again.

It isn't actually a dump but it could be with a few changes. Don't let the glossy photos on the website fool you. It is dirty. When we got there both rooms had at least one unemptied trash can. One room had a hairbrush on the window sill from a prior guest. Neither toilet was clean. One had small specks of fecal matter and the other had traces of blood (menstrual?). Both showers and tubs were dirty and had to be cleaned by us prior to using them. Wall switches had dirty smudges as did areas around door knobs. Most rooms had nicks and deep scratches on the walls from use that were either ignored or half-heartedly repaired. The fresh towels we requested were left on the floor out in the hall. A recent study of shoe soles revealed that every single tested sole had traces of e-coli. That means the carpets likely have e-coli as did our fresh towels. When we requested them on another occassion while we were in the room, they were brought to us in a rolling trash can. It might be that this trash can has only every been used for linen but I don't know that. (I have seen party goers ladle juice from a new trash can but they aren't a respectable hotel.) Downstairs in the fancy dining area are finger smudges and dust clumps everywhere. I wrote all of this to Davidson Hospitality Group a couple of weeks ago but they never responded. I have stayed at hotels that cost far less and are brighter and cleaner.

We spent a bit extra on a room with a balcony overlooking the river park. After a long road trip, it was nice to relax on the balcony and watch the river. The hotel is right on the very pleasant river walk and close to the dam and falls. Breakfast was one of the most complete offerings that we’ve seen for a complementary breakfast. Real plates and silverware were a nice touch as well. I didn’t get to enjoy the pool, hot tub, or sauna, but by wife said they were nice. I honestly wish we had one more day to stay in Spokane just to chill at this hotel.

The Hotel Louis offers virtually no amenities. There is no true bar service—only a small pre-made drink cart that you have to specifically ask about. The location is in an extremely seedy and unsafe part of Spokane. Simply walking to get a bottle of water or juice requires going through a full block of vagrants, which feels both unsafe and unsettling. The smell of urine and marijuana hits you as soon as you step outside your room, making the idea of a morning or evening run completely unthinkable. While the service team was polite and tried their best, this property falls drastically short of Autograph Collection and Marriott standards. My “upgraded” room was far from an upgrade—my view consisted of boarded-up windows and an old, dilapidated building across the way. I would respectfully request that my “free upgrade” be reversed, as there is nothing premium about this room or view. I have requested a Titanium upgrade twice and have yet to receive a response. The lack of acknowledgment, coupled with the overall environment and lack of amenities, makes this one of the least satisfying stays I’ve had in over two decades as a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member. I would definitely recommend (and would recommend over the one across the street) - The Louie is a completely new reno, rooms look and feel very fresh and clean offering classic details with modern flourishes. While The Louie has few amenities in house save an ice machine and L' Occitane bath works - everything including valet, room service, pool etc across the street is available to Louie guests. You even get the usual card for a complimentary coffee/pastry at the cafe across the street. 1 criticism the bedding - for me, the pillows are too soft and therefore stifling (I will bring my own next time) and the bed seemed to sag at the edges, so stick towards the center! This will not deter me from returning b/c it's the best boutique vibe I've found in Spokane. It is right across the street from the Davenport historic hotel where they have the valet parking. From when we pulled up the service was really good with valet. The great service continued at check-in with Malachi. He is great for the job and knows how to talk to customers and provide good service. The Louie was very cute and unique. I will say that the elevators could use a little updating. The rooms are newly updated and they look great. I was a little worried when we first got to our room because I could hear some noise from the room above. I asked for a fan and it was delivered for me. To my surprise even with the street noise and the building being a little older we slept very well and heard no noise throughout the night. We actually slept in until 10:00 a.m. The rooms were very dark and the beds were so comfortable. The pillows were comfortable. And I loved the deep tub. They also provide some nice plush robes you can wear around the room if you want to. The room had water bottles and a huge TV. If you need any type of drinks or snacks you can go right across the street to the historic Davenport. I will say it was a little confusing on the advertisement as it says they have a pool at the Louie. You do have to go across the street down to the basement of the historic Davenport for the pool and spa. I will say that the pool is very basic and the decor does not seem to match the hotel. They need to redo the ceiling and make it look a little nicer as it is very plain and does not look like the photos. I like that you get a coupon for a drip coffee and a pastry when you stay at the Louie even though they forgot to mention this to us and I found the coupon in our keys. The area is a little sketchy but as long as you go to valet parking and don't walk around too much in the area, you will be fine. You can have a complimentary glass of champagne which is cool if you drink and we don't. They did offer us some sparkling water though and I thought that was nice. We got a free sample of the peanut brittle you can buy across the street. Overall it was a really great day and I would stay there again, but I do think the price is a little steep once you add in all of the extra fees.

Otherwise, the space was wonderful and it was definitely our favorite stay of the vacation. Extremely large shower, which was so cool. And the hotel was so quiet! The location is truly unbeatable, right in the heart of downtown Spokane and within easy walking distance of Riverfront Park and the Convention Center. ​What really set this hotel apart, though, was the staff. Since this location didn't have a Pool we were available to visit their other downtown location, checked in at the front desk and got the pool key to use the pool for the day. ​room had an amazing view, overlooking the Spokane River and Riverfront Park. When we were checking in, we were told that parking was $15 a day and then there was extra taxes on top of that. We went to the front desk and told them about all of these things that we had found in the room. Instead of moving us to a new room since that room was completely disgusting, they gave us the $15 car fee and a $20 resort fee. I came to Spokane for a weekend getaway. I paid $192 for a room for 1 night. It is supposed to be a pretty bougie hotel since remodeling again. Supposed to be newer and better. The comforters were more like thick sheets and the bed was too soft for me but my partner liked it. The thermostat wouldn't go below 68 and there are no screens in the window - it was a hot stay as the AC didn't kick on much. The shower does not have a door so water splashes around but there were plenty of towels provided. Bathroom is pretty small. Room space is decent and a cute small balcony. Our room wasnt ready until after 5pm and we were told 4pm guaranteed check in. The hotel restaurant is surprisingly good. The bathroom soaps were out and we requested them to be refilled and were not. We ended up just getting our own. Great walking distance to hot spots. We were less than 10 min walk to the Spokane Arena. Lots of trash and sheets out I the halls all day. Im sure from cleaning the rooms but ive honestly never seen it to that level. All in all its a meh stay but close to a lot of amenities.

Sometimes it’s very busy with city events and other times it’s pretty mellow. We always have an enjoyable stay and the staff are incredibly friendly and kind. The restaurant Food is amazing. We’ve had breakfast and dinner here and it never disappoints. The outdoor pool is a great space to relax in the summer. It’s a big space so unless the hotel is really crowded there’s usually plenty of space to hang out. There is plenty of parking and it is only $15 extra. I would recommend this place as a great centrally located hotel. Bonus it’s on the centennial trail and usually lots of Lime scooters around. If you head west through the park it’s easy to get to Kendall Yards for dinner or to enjoy the trail.

The standard rooms don’t come with a microwave. The jacuzzi was not hot, and was so chlorinated that my legs burned. Hotel is located downtown, great access to the park and other conveniences. The issue for us is mostly outside the hotel's control: the noise. If one wanted relative peace and quiet before 10pm or after 7am, they weren't getting it. The bar tender was friendly and the bar was clean like the rest of the rooms. I subtracted one star because furniture and counters in our room had a few chips here and there. However they were still beautiful and frankly in better shape than ours at home-lol! We liked this place so much we would recommend this place to our family and friends! Great job guys!!

We came in to town last min and was very tired from a long day of travel. The room was kind of expensive but while asking some questions they realized we had a long day of travel to a memorial service. We had gotten there late and hungry so the only food available was in the bar. I would not stay anywhere else! The proximity of this hotel to everything Spokane has to offer is unbeatable. The pool, facility and access to the Centennial trail is an additional plus. For some reason, we have always been assigned bldg 4 and have even had the same room more than once. Each time, there is a funny odor, like wet dog or just kind of musty? The rooms are very clean and updated. The location is right on the river walk and close to Gonzaga. Great pool and hot tub. Front staff was nice. In my room there was a definite mold/mycotoxin presence. The air felt very humid, which is not really the environment of the outdoors & smelled meldewy. I have CIRS, which is Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome, caused by toxic mold exposure. It’s something that I pretty much have well managed at this point unless I’m in a very water compromised building. I stayed 10 minutes & my face began to swell ever so slightly, my head began to spin and become foggy, the back of my throat became sore and scratchy. I felt frozen & so googled what I should do if a building was causing a CIRS flare. The recommendation was to leave immediately, and so I did. Room pretty much untouched. I went to a local church & afterwards called the hotel explaining the situation. She said that the manager would get back to me. The manager never did, and I called three different times. I went through Expedia to get a refund, and they could not achieve one. They said that the hotel staff went into the room and did not see any mold. Which is not how mold works most of the time. I stayed at the Cambria next door & it was a breath of fresh air. Similarly priced, clean clean clean & no mold issues. Don’t stay in this run down old hotel, it needs a remodel (or flattened) & to have its issues addressed. Mycotoxins can contribute to significant health complications, including autoimmune diseases. It affects women and children most. There have been other reports of the room smelling moldy. I was on the ground level. Room was clean and on par with most Marriott collection hotels. The experience that I took exception with was front desk check in. I checked in on my Marriot App, listed that I would be using valet parking, and had selected a check in time. I was greeted with a half hearted generic welcome by a young woman who took little pride in her professional appearance. After she viewed my ID, she started asking questions that should have already been addressed with the online check in. When I asked her about this and informed her I just wanted a plastic room key she quipped “I just go here”. Not sure what that had to do with her inability to recognize that I already checked in via the app. She also charged me for an early check in even though when I checked in on the app, it let me, with no mention of the charge. We loved the animal themes throughout the hotel and our room. Also enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well as the gym. Safari Room, the restaurant on-site, was delicious. It was also great being able to hook up our streaming accounts to the TV so we could keep watching our regular shows every night while winding down. On-site parking was a breeze (yes you have to pay but it was in a nearby garage) and we were close enough to plenty of stuff downtown that we were able to walk to those places. We had travelled 7 hours from MT enroute north but split the drive to stay here arriving at 1030pm then settled into room and to bed at midnight. I never returned to sleep from the incessant sounds of a increasing variety of engines barreling up the hill in front of the hotel. We've always had pretty good luck staying at Best Western locations, and this location was no exception. There's a lot of activity from homeless people in this area, and that sometimes included those using drugs on the sidewalk and people shouting. There also happened to be someone at the corner using a bullhorn to protest. If you're sensitive to noise, this may not be the best location for you. But again, that's not the fault of the hotel. It's just a busy downtown location. There are perks to the location, too. We were within walking distance to make food and shopping options. We pretty much never needed to use our vehicle. Overall, we really liked this spot, and we'll happily choose to stay here again. The only complaint I could possibly have is that the mattresses need updated. My back was sore during our stay. New, quality mattresses would make this the perfect hotel.

Informed us of a reception that would be happening in a few minutes, which was great and a nice surprise because we were not hungry, but we hadn’t had dinner yet. They were serving complementary drinks, ravioli and breadsticks. Though we saw guess everywhere we went the hotel was very quiet. Pool and hot tub was great, they even had toys and goggles to borrow. The next morning the hot tub was closed for routine cleaning. It was nice the day before but that’s probably because they clean it regularly. The shower pressure was amazing, probably double or triple of regular hotels (I think we have all stayed at those hotels that have 20 drips of water coming out of the shower head), and the drain was fast. The morning breakfast had many great options, and all the food was hot and freshly made. I enjoyed a cheese omelette, pork sausage, orange juice, and husband had cinnamon roll, biscuits and gravy. We were there for 13 days because of the illness of a loved one being treated at the hospital next door. The entire staff was friendly and very helpful and service was fast and efficient. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious and the huge bed was firm with lovely soft pillows. The shower was powerful and the water was soft and hot. There was no nonsense about not making up the room each day under the pretense of some sort of ecological philosophy. We came back every day to a made bed and a straightened room. The included breakfast wasn't fancy but was entirely adequate and some dishes like the frittata were pretty tasty. My only complaint was that the trash cans in the room were minuscule. When we checked in in the middle of the night (flight was delayed), there was no crib. The hotel was not able to find one and offered us pillows instead. I explained pillows are a suffocation risk for babies. The night employee, Amber, was very helpful and had another hotel drop off one of their cribs for us to use. This whole process took 2 hours and we barely got any sleep. We are very grateful to Amber for fixing this though! I called 2 full business days ago requesting to speak to the manager about the experience. I was forwarded to Vanessa and left a voicemail requesting a call back. She has not returned my call.

Had multiple confirmations got there and they literally would not give us a room. The rooms are very clean (showers have great water pressure too) and don’t get me started on the breakfast! There is sausage, bacon, waffles, eggs, potatoes, biscuits/gravy and all the pastry/cereal items you could think of. Katie helped us feel welcome and at home - even traveling with a pet I felt welcomed!! So many places I’m nervous- not here! They have dog treats in the lobby! Just imagine what a $50-$80 per night with only one night required stay turns into. We have had more and more neighbors staying in rooms nearby that are extremely shady-smoking in their rooms, talking loudly having small parties, and there’s no one on site to monitor it so you have to call every time there’s an issue. It’s one thing when the neighbors and what not are not polite, but getting out to the street your car has become more and more of a concern with personal safety. They let a larger group of teenagers in and they were just sitting in the lobby- I presume hiding from the cold. After we left for Thanksgiving dinner, my husband came back and the two men were now fighting in the lobby-one was strangling the other one and barricading the door. He felt very unsafe and there was nothing that he could do other than wait for the slow elevator and call the 800 number and ask for security. They try to make it more secure by having a door code, but it doesn’t stop people from grabbing the door and coming in. As a woman, this feels very unsafe, and I will reconsider staying here in the future. I wouldn’t stay here any longer as a single woman.
