We just needed to get away for a few days. We got a great deal on a room where the price of two nights was likely less than the price of one night during high season. The staff are all very friendly. The hotel is very warm and cozy. The rooms are exquisite. And these are great! Especially loved the hot tubs. There are two of them and they are huge! As you exit the building for them, the hot tub on the left seems to be not as hot as the hot tub on the right. The hot tub jets are great in both! Also, they claim that the pool is swimming and swim out, but there's only a 6 ft entry to the pool right outside of the door near the steam rooms and saunas. So you can't really swim indoors. There are lots of USB outlets in the lamps beside the bed and in some of the lamps in the living room. But they are USB-A outlets. Some parts of my suite, which was on the 4th floor in the middle, had 4G signal with two bars, whereas other parts of the room had 5G signal with three bars. I would stay here anytime!

I decided to extend my visit with my family and take a little road trip to steamboat and I am so glad that I did. It is a wonderful little town. I had a fantastic time. Location - excellent! Close to lots of fun stuff… if I were staying in steamboat I would either stay right Downtown or in this location if I were going to be snowboarding! There was a really good bike rental place nearby downstairs and a couple of great restaurants. This is at the base of the mountain that has the lifts up to the top for the sunset Happy Hour THAT I MISSED boo 😒 bc it wasn’t going on Thursday’s only Sunday. Food/Drink - great bar and they have a little store coffee shop on site that had lots of stuff. I wish in ate more then breakfast BECAUSE my BK was so great 😀 I loved it bacon / biscuits and gravy all cooked perfectly and the bar was good and open late bc of the conference going on. Rooms… ok meh 🫤 I can say for the price I paid I super scored bc I paid 198.00 for a 5-700 or more a night room but I was there off season on a Tuesday/ Wednesday. It probably goes for 1200.00 during season. It was very very clean and had a cabin feel to it. I liked the Coffee Service and I thought the closet space was great. It was a one bedroom condo. I liked the bathroom and I thought that amenities were all satisfactory but nothing really blew me away. I especially hated the TV situation because a resort like this, not to have any streaming like you can’t have any Netflix or anything like that, but I don’t know. I guess it wasn’t that big of a deal in hindsight. Business center : there really isn’t one??? I had to work while I was there and I was really disappointed for resort of this size not to have anywhere to work. There was a little Eating / dining area off of the coffee shop little store thingy, but it was very uncomfortable 😣 Internet : I had absolutely no problems with the Internet during my stay. It was very fast and efficient. Shuttle: they had a great on-site shuttle that you could download an app and just have the shuttle take you wherever you wanted to go pretty much. It goes I think from like 10 to 10 at night or maybe 10 to 9 I also got an Uber one night and it came really fast. Wine store downstairs around the corner: man I wish I knew about this. I only discovered it on my second night and there’s a really really great wine store with a good selection. Fun Things I did : I took a balloon trip that was fantastic. I loved it and couldn’t recommend it anymore and the location is about seven minutes from the hotel. It’s a must do. I rented an electric bike and rode that Downtown and went shopping and visited some happy hours along the river and that was an exceptional day. I loved it and I discovered this restaurant that was my favorite restaurant there of all the restaurants called Laundry, I live in Newport Beach CA - if this was in my neighborhood I would be a frequent flyer lol!! Riverside Restaurants/Happy Hour: This city does a proper happy hour lol all the restaurants participate and I especially enjoyed visiting all of the restaurants along the river! My fav was E3 chophouse - the outside was really beautiful 🤩 Hat Store: I know random right!! “Steamboat Hatter” … I’ve never wanted a hat more than the hats I saw in the store and on their Instagram page, but to custom order one it takes about three months they do have a lot of stock and a lot of options in store. It was just kind of pricey and I wasn’t prepared to sell out all that cash, but I feel like a hat from this place is on my list of things to do in my life lol… I also stayed an extra night at a cheap motel that I really loved in downtown too that allows pets I would probably stay at next time I visit. OVERALL: grateful to have stayed at such a nice place during the Fall, the place was great and one thing I forgot to mention is that all of my interactions with the staff were exceptional and that goes a long way!! I could hear the ski lift running outside my room, but I was able to sleep threw the noise. It's a very convenient location and there is a bar/restaurant/coffee shop located inside the property, although the operating hours are not super early or late and the prices are a bit steep (even for Steamboat). Additionally, since I was traveling for work, my client booked the hotel room. I was not made aware that there is a $16/night charge for parking when I checked in. Their disclaimer is that "you're notified when making the reservation and there's also a sign at checking stating the charge". Except I didn't make the reservation personally and I was so exhausted by the time I checked in after a 4.5 hr drive that I didn't look for any signs about parking. This is a lack of transparency with the property and a complete money grab. If I would have been notified by the front desk person at check in, that would have been fine. And we would have liked to step out on the balcony without snagging our socks on splintered wood and flaked paint. The bed was comfortable, and we would have slept well if it hadn't been for the wild karaoke party in the next room over (across a thin paneled wall) that finally shut down at 3:15am after I called the front desk, which was immediately outside our door. The lady at the front desk took 15 steps (I heard every step) from the front desk and asked this party crowd to shut it down. I wondered why she hadn't noticed the din earlier. We traveled mid October, in between the busy summer and ski seasons. The Lodge check in desk closes at 6 pm. We arrived at 5:45 and the desk help already had put our check in information in the lock box outside the doors. Our 1 bed, 1 bath room was well-stocked. The patio hot tub worked great after a long hike. The hot tub was set at 105, which was too warm, but we lowered it. Quite hours at 10pm to 10am, so no late night or early morning soaks. We did not use the on-site pools. Bed was comfortable and there was plenty of additional bedding available. W/D in the unit.

We thought we'd be staying at a modest, comfortable and well-appointed room but my friends and I were unpleasantly surprised at our digs for the weekend and thought it outlandish we were paying $200/night for each room - $800 total for a weekend with two rooms. It seemed vastly different and were very small as opposed to what the pictures depicted. I did see they plan to renovate through other feedback the hotel has given so maybe it will improve. Sat in a relaxation lounge for 2 hours while waiting for facial. Had water, tea, and chocolates. Lunch and wine were delivered to me. Facial was just ok. Esthetician seemed bored, and didn't put sunscreen on to finish. What esthetician doesn't put sunscreen on you when it's sunny and 80 out? I asked about it, and she brought me a tinted moisturizer with SPF and had me put it on myself. Front desk was very friendly. Would likely visit again.

I was up late one night and google searched deep tissue massages and wanted alternate therapies if they existed. Found Life Essentials and could even book it online and request an appointment when I couldn’t sleep at 2AM . They called me the next day to confirm. I booked 2 diff days of deep tissue. They were both awesome. When I mentioned how much pain I was in they suggested Micro Current and got me in back to back w my massage. It was magical!!! Truely life changing and a non invasive pain treatment. After that they suggested a member room( and they know I live in cali and cannot be there often) where they have special relax & healing therapies… Avacen(look it up it’s and amazing heat therapy), ozone therapy & leg compression!!! The condo was dirty, the floors/carpets clearly had not been vacuumed and there was a sewage smell in the master bathroom. The pool area was piled high with dirty towels and in complete disarray all weekend long. The front entry door was never completely closed compromising the security of the building. We made several calls to the telephone number on the main desk (in the entry way) requesting help. The young man who arrived was able to get us into our room but couldn’t reset the room keys. There was apparently no one to assist us, as we had been told it was the weekend and the manager probably wouldn’t answer his phone. As a result, we were unable to leave the condo on our last night in town. The next morning, the young man at the front desk barely acknowledged us and did not offer, nor help us take our belongings from the condo out to the car with the luggage cart (which was a standard courtesy of the staff in the past). He didn’t acknowledge or offer an apology for the inconvenience of having been locked out of the condo or that our keys did not work on Sunday evening. He probably didn’t know as communication seems to be pretty poor within the management team now. The Highmark is a fairly expensive rental property, but it used to worth the expenditure given the personal service, quality of the staff, facilities and condo. The rooms were small and dark. The hallway was crowded with housekeeping carts by our room for the majority of our 4 night stay. There is repaving going on in front of the hotel on the street, but it was still easy to get in and out of the parking lot. Not glamorous or flashy, and not quite rustic but well appointed spacious rooms and a very nice breakfast offering (no powdered egg mix, thank you very much!) The rooms were nice and clean. Plenty of space as well. Kitchen space and dining space were excellent. Plenty of bathroom space as well. Beds were quite comfortable too. I would have given 5 stars but the AC was broken and it was a very hot week. We couldn't spend as much time there as we would have liked because the place was far too hot. We called for a fix, but they weren't able to get anyone in while we were there and they only offered a 25% refund after days of trying to get a hold of the property manager. Not a huge deal either, but one of the bathroom sinks didn't drain well, and the turndown team came in early before we were supposed to check out. Could have been 5 stars but for the AC, which should result in more than a 25% refund, considering we had to sleep in the heat for the entirety of the trip.

I often times feel like I've been hit by a bus after hustling with laser focus on the execution of a moment in time. Booking was fast and easy. I received all of the necessary information in a timely fashion. Before we arrived, I felt confident about the check-in process and everything went smoothly. One of the reasons we booked this particular condo was because of the promised well-appointed kitchen, and this place did not disappoint! With seating at the table and at the breakfast bar, we had plenty of options. We relaxed in the comfortable living room furniture. We played games out on the balcony. Our son enjoyed the pool and all three hot tubs. We used the fitness center daily, and it provided a great selection of equipment, from free weights to a treadmill. The location is prime.
