Casa Republica was our introduction to Peru, and what an unbeatable first impression! Rose greeted us as soon as we arrived and immediately made us feel at home, providing detailed information not only about the hotel but also about Barranco—its restaurants, museums, and even where to find an ATM.
Breakfast was excellent, with cooked-to-order eggs alongside a daily buffet of fresh options. Water (con and sin gas), coffee, and tea were available 24 hours a day, which was a thoughtful touch. Our king room was spacious, comfortable, and overlooked the gardens—a peaceful retreat in the city.
On our last day, while we relaxed in one of the many sitting areas as our room was being cleaned, a gentleman I believe was the manager (unfortunately I misplaced his card) stopped by to ask how we were enjoying our stay. We ended up chatting for quite a while, and he recommended his favorite Peruvian dish—ají de gallina—at the local icon Isolina. As promised, it was absolutely delicious!
When we return to Lima, there’s no question—we’ll stay at Casa Republica again.

We can highly recommend this hotel. We spent a total of 5 nights there and were very satisfied. The location in Barranco is great - just a few steps and you are by the sea. The neighborhood is also really nice. You can reach excellent restaurants on foot or in a few minutes by cab. The hotel itself is very charming, great facilities, large rooms and a roof terrace (from which you can also see the sea in places) where you can end the evening with a drink or snack. We stayed on the second floor of the historic part and really enjoyed the high rooms (on the ground floor you probably could hear footsteps from the first floor due to the old architecture). The service was really fantastic, however, whether at the bar, at the great breakfast buffet or at the reception - everyone was extremely friendly, competent and helpful. We would like to single out Rose, who did everything in her power to get our suitcases, which had gone missing on the flight to Lima, delivered to the hotel quickly. A thousand thanks. We will definitely come back.

Lovely experience! The entire hotel has a cool vibe mixing colonial architecture bones with both contemporary and vintage art. The staff was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed one rooftop for delicious breakfasts and the other rooftop for pisco sours. The room was spacious and comfy. The Villa Barranco is a lovely hotel. The room was large, and there was charming gardens and outdoor space. The villa is conveniently located to the restaurants and shopping in Barranco. The owner Patricio was friendly and very helpful making suggestions for Lima, as well as Cusco. He suggested a perfect one-day itinerary in the Sacred Valley, and helped to make a lunch reservation at a hacienda. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

We had a very enjoyable 5 day stay at Villa Barranco. It reminds me of a family's private compound - quiet, cozy, personal. Old but updated. Not a generic chain hotel at all. My favorite part: Isaac, who runs the rooftop breakfast area. Every day he made us feel welcome as he shared amazing and delicious Peruvian foods. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Absolutely loved this boutique hotel set in a charming colonial mansion. The staff were incredibly attentive, and the lovely rooftop terrace was perfect for evening cocktails. Though we had a minor issue with the AC on the first night, it was quickly resolved. Highly recommend staying here while visiting Lima.
Barranco is a fantastic area with its artsy vibe, smaller buildings, old mansions, and lush greenery. It’s great for walking, enjoying beach views, and exploring bars and restaurants.

More than my expectations! Living in a historic 1920 home in the beautiful neighborhood of Barranco. It’s a walk away from the bridge of sighs and famous restaurants. Had the master suite. Huge room with upstairs private terrace with view of the Pacific Ocean. The bathroom was beautiful with a big bath tub in the middle of the room. Breakfast served daily and it was a very good selection of fresh native fruits, 3 choices of freshly squeezed fruit juice, fresh home made bread and a menu service. Coffee is available any time. Fresh water daily in the room. Fresh towels daily. I highly recommend Villa Barranco. Truly beautiful and amazing service!!!

Staying at this well located hotel was a great relief after dealing with the city's significant traffic problems, especially coming from the airport. I will start by saying that the hotel was amazing, a great spot literal feet from the ocean, amazing staff and the rooms were perfect. The four stars more come from an issue at check in.
Ultimately there was a miscommunication from an earlier call and the check in employee about the number of guests in the room. I was initially told having one more than the reservation states wouldn’t be an issue since the room can really hold 4 people (I brought 3), but upon checking in they said I HAD to pay for the third body in the room.
Really that was the only thing that put a sour taste in my mouth but again overall it was a great stay. Just MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE COMING, not just the number of beds needed.

Comfy beds (although I would suggest higher quality sheets), great location just across from high-end Larcomar shopping mall, great walking paths through several parks. Loved our dinner in Saladero with fabulous waitress Alexandra, and the breakfast buffet was probably the best I have experienced anywhere. About 30 minutes and a $50USD fare with Trips Remisse that you can book in advance via the hotel. Highly recommend if you are visiting Lima.

We stayed in room 1003 - king sized bedroom facing the Ocean - for one night. The hotel offered self serve coffee, fruits & croissant during the morning hours which is a great touch!
Fruit plate was provided in the room as well since we are Marriott members. Lovely!
Hotel is centrally located - about an hour from the airport during the morning rush hour though. We took Uber from the airport and paid about 55 PEN for one way.
During Check out we’ve received a bill for food and drinks that we didn’t order since we ate out during our stay. Luckily the Hotel staff was understanding and didn’t charge it to our room since we didn’t order the food. Not sure how it even got charged to our room in the first place. Friendly employees!

The house is historical and eclectic, its own tribute to Lima’s culture. Giancarlo, Ragnar, Jorge, and the entire staff are a family of characters who maintain their casa with pride, are full of stories and local tips+insights, and did things I’d never ask for to make my stay better. I got upgraded to a better room just because it was available. Make sure to give them a heads up if you think you’ll be out later than 1/2am so the person on call for door duty can be aware.

We can totally associate to the bad reviews of this place. The place is not only seriously laking cleanliness but also renovation. Our room was humid, smelled bad and the hall and room showed visible signs of fungus. There was no window that we could have opened and it had really nothing to do with the pictures on our booking platform.
We asked for at least a room with a window but this go rejected. Since we didn't feel comfortable we left and stayed somewhere else. Our request for refund had been rejected. At the end we stayed in a beautiful place close by for 1/2 the money.

I hate to give a bad review, but I feel that more accurate reviews are needed so people don’t end up stuck overpaying for a bad room like I was! This hotel is quite run down and not at all as described by the other reviews. The door to the room isn’t secure, the building is poorly lit and smells of mildew. I don’t know why Google has it rated as a four star hotel. There are much nicer rooms in the area for half the price, save yourself money and go anywhere else.

This is yet another super location to stay while in barranco. The character of the building and the kindness the staff offers is superb compared to larger hotel chains.
The included breakfast with the stay is fantastic! Fresh fruit, fresh puree, a coffee and a choice of five different menu items with eggs. It's just unbelievably worth the value.
There is a shared bathroom but it still has a door and a lock if that's a deal breaker for anyone. There's also a second bathroom that's just a single use so basically it's not much different than having a room with a bathroom inside of it.
I suppose it depends on when you book, but the room I got was only $30 USD and this is a great price compared to some of the options in the area. It can't go without saying the location couldn't be any better. It's not quite in the middle of everything, but it's also only about 10-minute walk to get to everything.

A really wonderful spot to stay in Barranco. Location is amazing: very close to coffee shops, fantastic restaurants, parks, cultural sites, and a short walk to the ocean. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially when we had to check-out earlier than breakfast time and they organised food-to-go. The hotel staff is exceptional here and they are doing great service: reception, kitchen, housekeeping. Hotel itself is nice and well maintained, location is good (but to access the beach you have to walk or take taxi, as there’s a cliff and bridge nearby is not ready yet).
Breakfast is very good with made on request eggs or French toasts. They have homemade yogurt daily, selection of tea leaves.
There’s also a cons: noise from nearby kindergarten (my room 302 faced it) and construction - unfortunately nothing can be done to prevent, great noise from people hitting the room doors in the morning - that is needed to get fixed for sure by putting bumpers/ slam silencers, at least provide people information during check in they are not alone or put a reminder on the door to close gently during quiet hours at night and early morning.
If you need to work online with meetings - it’s definitely not a good place to stay, bad sound proof. If you need to sleep at least 8 hours - bring earplugs with you!

Second Home Peru is a quiet home away from home at the end of a colorful cafe-lined dead-end street. My travel companion and I stayed in the home April 8-12, 2025. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Immediately upon our 6:30 am arrival, we received a warm welcome and felt comfortable. The home boasts beautiful cliffside ocean and garden views through several large windows, has comfortable furnishings, and serves hearty morning breakfasts consisting of flavorful eggs and bacon, Peruvian fruit (granadilla), fresh warm bread, strong coffee or tea, and juice. Doors are always propped open allowing for fresh ocean air and natural light to bathe the environment. The on-premise bar facilitated a perfect end-of-day ritual of Pisco Sours with fellow travelers on the back patio/lawn/deck while watching the sunset over the Pacific.
Room was 5 was very spacious with 2 queen beds, large bathroom, comfortable beds, and clean! No view to speak of however, many windows to open for fresh ocean air and natural light.
The location of Second Home is perfect for walking the Barranco District. Several fantastic and popular restaurants, coffee shops, and bakeries are within a block or two of the home.
When needed, the staff arranged for taxi service. We pre-arranged and pre-paid for airport pick-up through Second Home. Finding Carlos at the airport was easy- making for a stress-free arrival.
We took the small-fee tour of Victor Delfin's on-site studio and had the privilege of meeting him He is 97 years old and still creating. His works represent his country's state of being (social, economic, cultural, political, etc..) throughout his 70+ years
of creating. He is a national figure. Take the tour and enjoy his pieces that are showcased throughout the B & B.
My travel companion and I are solo female travelers who are 55 and 69 years old. We felt very safe and took the usual travel precautions. We did not experience any safety issues walking around the District. The locals were very friendly and kind.
There were hugs all around when it was time for us to depart and relocate to Cusco. It felt like we were leaving family. If I ever return to Peru, I will always come back to Second Home!

One of the best gift shops I’ve ever been to: a great place to pick up unique upmarket goods by Peruvian designers and craftspeople. A must for discerning shoppers!
I absolutely loved my visit here and ended up getting some unique jewelry. You can easily spend multiple hours looking at all the rooms, so plan accordingly if you love to shop/browse.
The shop includes homewares, clothing, a jewelry room, stationary, toys and kids items, a small selection of foods, and even a courtyard cafe with bonsai trees for sale.
Service is second to none. Associates will take your selections to the cashier while you continue to shop. Beautiful gift wrap is included with all purchases on request.
Some reviews have mentioned that perhaps some of the craft items are cheaper elsewhere. That may be the case, but there are a lot of brands I didn’t see elsewhere and everything is of the highest quality and carefully curated.

For the chocolate, the price for Elemento is slightly higher than supermarket (Flora y Fauna in Barranco), but their Magia Pura is slightly cheaper than El Cacaotal. (I only found Magia Pura in these 2 stores).
I bought 2 other chocolates, but they were expiring in a week. The store was willing to replace it but I had to wait for around 10 minutes and they don't have one variety that I wanted.
I ended up taking their Ukaw chocolates, as they recommended, however the price was apparently almost 50% higher than from Ukaw store in Barranco. (Their price was ~PEN23, and it was only ~PEN16 in Ukaw).
Overall, it was a good visit. This is a typical shop inside an art space/gift store.

I am writing this review to share my thoughts during my stay at the Westin Hotel. It was a beautiful experience. Nothing less from a 5 star hotel and best hotel if you ask me in Peru. The staff was friendly, they were bilingual in English and Spanish. The rates were competitive. The pool was amazing. Gym had lots of equipment. Breakfast was American Style, eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, lots of fruits, breads and more. Though it comes at an $80 dollar price. Well worth it in my honest opinion. Parking included. It is a must if driving a car in Lima. Everything needed is handed to you if requested at the front desk, is person or by phone. I would have enjoyed more activities but my time was limited. There was heat and AC in the room. Wonderful views of San Isidro. Lots of store nearby, gas stations, restaurants and even a clinic if you were to need medical attention. I will stay again.

Nous avons dû utiliser nos téléphones portables au Pérou, ce qui a engendré un coup sur nos factures.
Et il a fallu insister auprès de la réception pour qu'au final, ils ne nous facturent pas les frais de taxi après cette inconvenante expérience et unique que nous avons eu au Pérou.
Dans la chambre, pas de bouilloire, juste une cafetière, et des lumières tamisées qui restent allumées toute la nuit dans la SDB, pas très écolo.
Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel, il n'est pas à hauteur de son prix, ni de la renommée d'un Hilton. Très mauvais rapport qualité prix !

Cuando quisimos ir a almorzar al restaurant de Hotel, fuimos mal atendidos. los garzones demorosos y de malas ganas, nos muestran una hoja con el menú pero sin precios, al muy rato despues nos dicen que tambien hay una carta etc. Nos aburrimos de esperar ( además estamos con cambio de horario con Chile ) despues nos pasan la pieza , no tienen agua para tomar ya que no se puede tomar la de los grifos, llame y me dicen que debo salir a comprar agua para poder usar si lo requiero la máquina para hacer cafe o tomar hierbas o té .Además televisor no funcionaba, llamamos a recepción y la señora solo dió instrucciones como encender con el control, sin embargo cuando llegó personal se dieron cuenta que la televisión no funcionaba porque estaba mala, ahi perdimos aprox 1 hora de poder relajarnos. Luego, me quedé dormida y desperté porque llegó un montón de niños a habitar las piezas colindantes a las 18:30, me despertaron porque las puertas las abrian y cerraban como jugando. Llame para informar del ruido y solo me pidieron paciencia.
Y mi esposo, reservó el Sauna para hoy Martes 21 de Octubre para ocuparlo de 9 a 9:30 horas pero cuando fuimos al Spa no habia nadie, no habia agua en el jaccuzi. Tuvimos que nuevamente llamar y reclamar en recepción. Quedaron en solucionar el problema a las 10.

Very nice hotel, excellent location. Friendly personnel and good breakfast buffet. The reason for 4 stars is the absence of ventilation (you also can't open the windows) and lack of drains cleaning. The water in bathtub was not draining at all and the reason was the big chunk of hair stuck in the drain plug. The drains must be checked regularly. I stayed in one of private apartments on the 7th floor. I'm giving 3 stars for the bathroom. The bathroom is outdated for my preference. 1970s motel vibes, dingy and dated. The shower had low water pressure and was lukewarm in temperature. NAIA's photos misrepresented the actual look of the apartment. I was quiet disappointed with the quality of the bathroom. Two body towels, two hand towels provided. No washcloths.
The rest of the apartment was fine: bedroom and living room. The kitchen was okay but the appliances also didn't look like photos on the website. Dated, dingy appliances. I wouldn't use them to prepare any food or drinks.
Overall the stay was okay and decent for the price.
The buffet breakfast was standard. I was happy to see milk alternatives. Warm and cold foods provided. Coffee, juice, water and tea.
Great location in Miraflores! Very walkable and I felt safe in the neighborhood.
I used their airport transfer service. The website showed a special a 5USD off special for roundtrip. I booked roundtrip but the front desk tried to charge me their standard rate of 50USD despite the website saying 45USD.
The staff spoke some English. I speak Spanish so I was able to communicate if the English conversation was unclear.
The tours offered were more expensive than what you'd find elsewhere. I booked a tour on TripAdvisor for significantly less. I paid $50 versus the $150 the hotel charged.

Last comment, the coffee shop in front is such a cool addition, but it would be nice if they could steam milk properly. I am a current barista, and the two times I visited in the AM both drinks were awful. The first cortado was made incorrectly it was a espresso shot with foam on top. The second a latte was poorly steamed milk resulting in what was more of a hot milk with a smidge of foam on top.

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für Peru sehr schlecht. Die Lage und das Frühstück sind sehr gut. Wir hatten für 40 usd die Nacht ein Zimmer mit geteiltem Bad. Pasamos unos días increíbles en el Casa Andina Premium Golf Los Inkas. Fuimos con mi esposa buscando un poco de desconexión y descanso… ¡y lo conseguimos! El hotel está rodeado de áreas verdes y tiene un ambiente muy tranquilo, ideal para relajarse.

This is very nice hotel in a perfect location. We stayed in sept/oct 2025. We upgraded to a junior suite and it was a lovely spacious room. My only negative is that the service at breakfast can be quite frustrating.Some mornings it was excellent but one morning when it was very quiet the services was both very poor and incredibly slow. Don’t let that put you off but the hotel should look into the service element. No one asked me at checkout how my stay was. More attention to breakfast service would make it perfect. Our favorite hotel of the trip, more comfortable than many five-star hotels. While breakfast isn't a buffet (and I'm usually a traveler who likes to fill up on breakfast and skip lunch), my daily omelette was delicious, especially when paired with hot chocolate and bird watching in the peaceful, verdant courtyard. When making a review it has always to consider the price in relation to any weak points. So for me this place is an excellent place to stay that is affordable, quiet and clean. These are attributes not easily found in Barranco because usually price reflects the makeup of place and my last hostel was very dirty and expensive.
Although with some of the rooms the walls are super thin the overall building has very little noise and the staff are not too shy to warn people of the noise levels If they feel it may be a nuisance to the other guest.
The general feel of the place is welcoming , warm in atmosphere and the laying arranged in a way as to promote a sociable nature . There are 2 bathrooms for the hostel with great showers providing hot water with good water pressure. The kitchen is large with lots of cupboard space and there is also an outdoor part to the building where you can have a smoke or just to hang your washing out saving you time and money.

I have had an absolutely amazing time at Casa Wynwood Barranco. I arrived exhausted after a serie of unfortunate surprises with airbnb accommodations and the team went out of their way to make me feel at home. I stayed in two different rooms that were both outstanding. As I've stayed in a few other places in Lima, I can definitely say this was by far the nicest and quietest. I have worked in hospitality for years and I saw how the team aims for details - personalized note in my room, chocolates ! All the amenities and facilities are beautiful AND practical. I got the chance to use both the co working space and gym and was extremely satisfied. Breakfast was delicious, it's really nice to start the day on the roof at Otto's.

This is the most perfect small hotel.
Brilliant location in Barranco. The rooms are lovely: light airy and simply and beautifully decorated. We stayed in both 3 and 5. 3 has a bath tub and 5 has a large walk in shower. On balance we preferred 5.
The smell of honeysuckle as you sit in the garden drinking your morning coffee is wonderful.
Great communication with the family and very reasonable price.
We couldn’t fault it. If you like a hands off hotel then Casa Caseres is the place for you in Lima.

Schitterend hotel/ airbnb. De kamer was fantastisch, het bed en kussens heerlijk! Geen ontbijt/ restaurant maar er zijn verschrikkelijk veel heerlijke ontbijt/ lunch en restaurants in de buurt.
