Did extremely well to say we were a group of 12 including 3 kids! All the food came out together nice and hot, didnt take longer than youd expect for a group that size and the food was phenomenal. Best curries ive ever had. I opted for the Venison Shangri La which was beautiful but I also had some Korma (best ive ever had), as well as some other varies bits. Everything was just top top quality. Can't recommend this place enough! Very very fair prices for the quality you get.

Food is fantastic and service is always prompt. There are a couple of improvements I would suggest - the chicken in butter chicken is often quite large strips which I would prefer to see cut up as they can end up a little bland. There have also been a couple of occasions where I haven't been given enough sauce for the naan I have ordered to accompany the curry. Jhinook always offers something extra in place of a free cobra which is something we always appreciate but we would like the opportunity to stick with the offer of free chips as opposed to other sides that seem to be being offered now (we gave a few of these to our dog and last order without them felt less of a family meal). But these are all minor suggestions as we really do love eating here.

We went as a large party so I appreciate it was a little chaotic, but the guy giving us our food from a serving table, stood behind us hollering out the orders at the top of his voice. We could see he was getting annoyed and we tried to assist him (we had a list) but he continued angrily shouting - not the atmosphere for a family meal.. 2 people ordered an omelette (they don’t like spicy food) and just by looking at them, you could see they were really dry (you could pick the omelette up like a disc!). One of them left their whole meal, the other ate the prawn omelette and the consequence of eating this was diarrhoea the whole of the next day. All the curries served were just like a puree rather than a curry, very boring to eat. All in all, unfortunately we would definitely not recommend.

We visited the Beefeater in Worksop as a treat for my other half and had a fantastic experience.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and quickly shown to our table by the lovely RAD, who took great care of us. There was no rush, and we were given plenty of time to browse the menu at our own pace.
We ordered our drinks, starters, and mains—all of which were absolutely delicious! 😋
After finishing our meal, RAD offered us the dessert menu, and we couldn’t resist. The desserts were just as amazing as the rest of the meal.
Everything was spot on—10/10 for the food, 10/10 for the service, and 10/10 for the price! We’ll definitely be back.

We visited this pub for a family meal (5 adults and 2 children) and had a great experience with both the food and the service. It’s a lovely family-friendly venue with plenty of spacious seating areas for dining, while another section offers a classic pub atmosphere with Sky Sports on large screens, a dartboard, and pool tables.
The service was friendly and efficient, and the meal portions were generous. The menu had a wide variety of options, including plenty of deals and offers. When my wife wasn’t happy with her fish and chips, the staff promptly replaced it with another meal at no extra cost, which we really appreciated.
There’s ample parking, and the pub also features a Wacky Warehouse for kids, though we couldn’t try it as it was closed during our visit.
Overall, I highly recommend this pub for families. It’s a great spot with something for everyone!

A group of us had a table booked for 7 o'clock on Friday evening. The lady who showed us to our table was lovely. I chose my meal and went to the bar to order. I was told there were no flat breads left so I had to pick a different meal . I chose salmon with sweet potato fries and coleslaw which I really enjoyed. This was the chosen venue for drinks & buffet after an Uncles funeral today .I found out the carpark is fairly small with very tight parking spaces ,infact I decided to park off site in the end along with another relative as i didn't want to struggle getting out of my car or risk my car getting a dent .Inside I found the pub very clean with plenty of available tables in different areas.The staff on duty were very pleasant indeed when serving drinks behind the bar or glass collecting.Theres a large outdoor seating area for when the weather is good .Toilets are located upstairs & I found the gents to be nice & clean. Apart from the parking up issues on arrival, I enjoyed my visit to this pub & wouldn't hesitate on returning back again in the future .

Came up to Worksop for a quick night stay and had dinner here. It was really lovely. The place was packed too so the atmosphere was buzzing — staff were also attentive and kind. We were looking for somewhere for lunch and stumbled across the Olive Grove.
At first, we thought they were closed as it looked dark through the windows. When we got inside we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff offering to find us a table and insisting they were open!
I think there were two other customers in there, so it was very quiet. (the number of customers is often an indication how good a place is, so I was a little cautious).
Anyway, I needn’t have worried. It turned out to be a lovely place to stop for lunch.
I suspect as it’s a Bistro and a little tucked away, their evening trade will be their most busy time.
The staff were very helpful and the service prompt.
The decafe tea was good and the food excellent. I had a platter on a wooded board, with chunks of different types of bread, cheese, olives, salad and cold meats. It was delightful!
By the time we walked out I felt I had just sampled a taste of Spain.

I can happily say that this was veritably a place that I would love to be closer to home. I would happily go out of my way on a journey just to eat here.
We were attended to by Lu (Lucy) who helped us with our table and baby placement. They were busy with a large party at the time and were courteously notified by her that times would be a bit longer. I am to say that if the times were longer then I would have been blown away by their normal times.
The food came and our eyes popped! The food! Oh the food! It was delicious, scrumptious, delectable, out-diddly-standing! Both the starters and the mains were amazing and generously portioned!

We visited today and the food was absolutely lovely – full of flavour and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and most of the staff were really friendly and attentive.
The only negative was an encounter with a brunette lady who appeared to be part of management (as she wasn’t in uniform like the rest of the team). When I asked if I could charge my phone — which I needed for my maps for the next two hours — she refused in quite a blunt manner, which came across as unwelcoming.

Visiting local pub after school sports day; TERRIBLE SERVICE - probably worst have had ever; placed order for food at 4.38pm, food came to table at 5.25pm. There were 3 of us (1 child) and only another 2 tables in the whole place.
The strawberry haired manager and a short blonde girl with glasses were more interested in their conversation behind the bar then service, the food came and not going to lie was decent although could tell had been sat under the hot plate for a good while as the lettuce on my mac and cheese was cooked...
A brioche roll came with the mixed chilli and was inedible - raised with the short blonde girl who said that this was normal - requested another slice and was handed a cold slab of crust. When you're paying £80 for just 3 main meals and drinks I'd have expected much better service.
I recommend skip the place as has really gone down hill...

You wouldn't expect such a nice place on Ryton Street. We visited during the week so it wasn't busy. We had a table booked but I think it would be fine just to walk in. I'm not sure about weekends though. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. They made sure you were comfortable and they were there whenever you needed them. This was my 1st visit here to this independent coffee shop .There's 3 steps to combat upto the entrance door of this old style traditional building but once inside you'll find its very small but with a cosy feel to the place as there only 2 or 3 seating tables along with 8 bar stools & worktops .I placed my Cappuccino coffee £3.20p)order @the counter, (cash or card payments are accepted. ) then i was told by the pleasant lady on duty to take a seat & I'll bring it over which was a nice surprise & refreshing change to hear.I sat on one of the three stools located with a view out of the front window.After hearing the coffee beans being grounded noise ,It was quite a few minutes before my Cappuccino arrived which looked very nice in a smallish cup with light chocolate sprinkles.I did enjoy the drink but personally I would of liked it to have been a little bit hotter ! Customers cups were soon cleared & table tops cleaned once they left so the place is nice,clean & tidy .Should you require a nice & quiet cuppa in a relaxing atmosphere then this is the place to try ,I shall definitely be back again & maybe try a cake next time !

On a random walk through Worksop we stumbled upon this lovely humble pub. We were welcomed into the establishment with a smile. A lovely warm atmosphere and beautifully clean toilets. Visited on 05.02.23 at 4pm for Sunday dinner. Table 18. I ordered the Roast beef, ( other meats available),mashed and roasted potatoes, carrots, peas, cabbage, all covered in a nice thick gravy. Piping hot food as you would expect, and a chocolate brownie cheesecake with ice cream to finish. Glass of fizzy orange to wash it down ( driving). £13:30 and a tip.
Small issue with the desert but dealt with immediately. Plenty of staff to ensure efficient service, food took about 10mins, again, what, I would expect for hot fresh food. Football was showing on the TV screens. I've never eaten a meal here before but I would definitely recommend it and I'm sure I will visit again. Car park at rear of inn, free on Sundays, and I think the Inn reimburse you if you dine in their establishment in the week. I left the inn about 5pm. Perfect, thank you Shireoaks inn.

This little tea room situated in Eyres furniture store is an absolute gem, having come here a few times for Coffee and Cakes which I have to say are excellent. Came here for breakfast for the first time, the food was top notch and the service was quick, will be returning very soon to try the lunch menu! The place has not been busy each time we have come on Saturday mornings but I’m guessing it would be fairly busy during peak times. Girlfriend has booked up for the afternoon tea with a couple of friends also which looks good at a fair price. But great little place to go if looking for some nice food while in Worksop.

Lovely coffee shop but like most places the prices have gone up considerably but the portions have also gone down and the quality as there wasn't much meat in the pie and what was in it was fatty and full of sinew and gristle. The food was nice and hot and the ladies are polite and efficient but that's not what tempts us in. The lemon meringue is usually amazing but the lemon middle was incredibly firm and didn't have it's usually tangy taste. It's also quite cool in the winter because it isn't double glazed just single glass panes so if you feel the cold take a jumper. Real shame because this place was the last of the best in town. Also card machine is temperamental so best to take cash.

I’m not sure why this is trendy as it’s dangerous when there are no handles as the drink is hot! They are totally flat, gloopy and more like a failed English pancake. The fruit in the compost was very sour. Not worth the money at all. We finished our food and the black pudding never arrived by the time we left. This won’t put me off going there as it’s generally very good, but certainly won’t have the pancakes again and will order coffee in a mug in future!

As a previous fan of Neo it really seems to have gone downhill. At 9am the doormat was filthy as was the floor signalling a lack of cleaning the night before. There were crumbs all over the seats, the booths are in disrepair. The food is adequate but very expensive given the relatively poor quality of it.
When theres only 2 customers in, cleanliness and service should be top draw but the tea had white floats of off milk and had to be returned.
If you can't take pride in your own business how can you expect customers to want to enjoy it?

This is a fantastic pub, and there is always a great atmosphere.The customers are all different age groups. There is a good selection of drinks to choose from, the prices are great value. There is a good choice of spirits, in particular gin, and as a nice touch plenty of different fruits as a garnish. A nice touch for the environmentally conscious is they have paper straws. The bar staff are polite and friendly as well as being efficient. Quite often live bands play here and there is no admission charge. The beer garden is spacious with plenty of seating, highly recommended.

After waiting 18 minutes in a queue of 5 people my order was finally taken. The lady taking the orders is also preparing the tray and at times delivering food to table. There surely has to be a better system than that?!
The food is generally ok, but does tend to sit on the pass for several minutes before being delivered to the customer, often resulting in lukewarm food. It’s not the fault of the staff, it’s the fault of the management not ensuring adequate staffing levels for a cafe that is usually very busy. I have visited the Cafe numerous times, and I must say that every time I have been I haven’t been disappointed. The staff are absolutely brilliant, so kind and helpful. I asked for a lunch recommendation and Sophie recommended the chicken Caesar flat bread with chips and it was delicious!! So filling and great for the price! Karen made me a really nice hot chocolate with lots of cream on top, which was to die for! It’s always busy in the cafe, but the staff always have time for you, they always help the elderly customers by bringing the trays over to them & sometimes having a little chat to those that come in on their own. It’s so lovely to see such helpful and pleasant staff members. The cafe is always clean when we go, there’s usually a cleaner that comes and sweeps up, she is really friendly too. I always recommend the cafe to my friends and colleagues, and I will be returning again for another flatbread! Well done Tesco cafe!

I genuinely don’t know how this place is still operating. We paid for delivery and ordered cheesy fries, mozzarella dippers, a chicken parmo, and four pieces of southern fried chicken. What turned up? Fries, mozzarella sticks… AND a completely random pizza with six chicken wings. No parmo. No southern fried chicken. Just chaos in a bag.
Tried calling the number online — it doesn’t even ring. Completely pointless. So my wife had to physically go down there just to return the wrong food. They did remake everything “fresh,” but somehow managed to send her away without the mozzarella sticks or the dip that we had already paid for. How do you remake an order wrong twice in one evening? It’s almost impressive.
To top it off, trying to explain the issue in the shop was impossible. There was zero communication, zero apology, zero customer service. Just blank stares and confusion.
This whole experience was an absolute joke.
Wrong order, unreachable phone, wasted time, missing items, and no accountability.
Save yourself the hassle and go literally anywhere else.

Cooked on. Griddle ,I believe. Good portion of food. Freshly cooked. Only downside for me personally was the sausage being a cheaper variety - I personally prefer a peppery Lincolnshire or Cumberland style - certainly not a deal breaker at these prices though . Price included a brew . Tea or coffee ( or even a soft drink ,if I remember correctly) -£7.50.
Friendly service. Nice open cooking area. Seemed clean & tidy.

Service was okay. The chips were FREEZING because the MANAGER could not be bothered to cook a fresh batch of them. Obviously I complained and asked for some new chips or a refund. They gave us some new chips and they were boiling. However, that is not the problem. Once we had eaten a few (2/3) chips, there were CLUMPS of salt. My aunt could not eat them as she has a sensitive mouth, she had been sick right after eating 1! We asked for a refund on at least the chips, he then said he would have to refund the full meal and did not want to do that. We eventually got some free stuff (2 ice creams) and was very snappy + moody. I would like to think this would never happen again. Nevertheless, the main food was good. Considering the expense of meals food should be at a good standard and checked regularly. Far to much sodium.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon. The fish and chips were cooked fresh to order which is great. We were served in about 2 minutes with the food arriving around 5 minutes later. It is definitely worth the wait for fresh cooked food. The price was I little higher than average but well worth it. The chips which while a little greasy tasted great.

First time having food here (on holidays) and when we got home and opened it it looked so delicious even the chips were nice, I had a tray with four chicken balls with chips and special fried rice, the rice was nice and the chips and then I bit into the chicken ball and it was pink inside, I tried the second one the same the third was a bit better but the fourth was pink to and I couldn’t eat them as I’ve had salmonella food poisoning from a takeaway years ago from uncooked chicken and I can tell you it was awful having it, I would be very careful ordering chicken balls from here especially if you get them for children, it’s a shame really because my husbands meal sass delicious (no chicken in his order) I hope this was just a one off because if this is how they cook their chicken then there’s going to be some very ill people, I won’t be going back there because it’s seriously a health risk.
