The meal was to thank people for the help they have given me over the last few months and it didn't disappoint. The squid starter was one of the best I have had with a dipping sauce to die for. Special shout out to the young man waiting at the table, he was so polite and attentive and would double check with others if he didn't know the answer. He was great as were the other staff too. We booked for a group of 12 at 2pm Saturday. We were asked to provide our meal order the Thursday before which we did. The food took 1hr20 mins to come out and when it did it took 25 mins from the first plate being served until the last. 4 of the meals were wrong, there was no cutlery provided until we asked and some of the food was frozen! We had to ask several times for things and were pretty much ignored. The manager was made aware of the issues and no point came to speak to us instead two young servers were left to do the apologising. We were told one chef got too drunk the night before and therefore they were short staffed in the kitchen. At the end of the meal we asked to speak to the manager and was told he was busy in the kitchen but upon leaving the restaurant he was just stood behind the bar with several other members of staff. Whilst we understand things happen regarding staff shortages the lack of organisation and service was appalling. The fact that it was too much for the manager to take 5 seconds and come and apologise says everything. Attached is a photo of my meal that was £22 and was supposed to be cauliflower steak in fresh parsley, coriander, olive oil, lemon juice and light dressing. Would avoid!!!

A couple of us met for lunchtime drinks and some good food. We had a selection of starters rather than a dish each, and enjoyed sitting out the back which was great, with a great selection of covered and uncovered seating, looks good too. The interior desperately needs updating but I appreciate that it's not a simple, or cheap job, especially in these current times for pubs. The food was generally very good. We had the mussels which were great, and well presented, a great source and some crispy bread. We also had the chicken starter which was nice, with a lot of flavour on the outside of the chicken but not really in the chicken itself, still lovely though. The crispy calamari starter we ordered was more soggy than crispy which was a shame but it was still tasty and portion sizes were good (portion sizes with all the food were good), and some fries which were great. Two pints and plenty of food came to around £28. Overall a very good experience, we enjoyed our time chilling, chatting, eating and drinking. Once again I would like to point out that the customer service was superb, some eateries need to go down there for lessons. I would definitely go back, especially on a nice sunny day or evening.

It has a decent variety of local beers, ales, and gins. There was a reasonable amount of indoor and outdoor seating for its size. With outdoor seating, it leaves you in a great atmosphere, especially when the sun is shining and the nice cool breeze from the river hits you. The food I had was very tasty and freshly cooked. Managed to get a table inside. The lovely friendly waitress came over straightaway to clear and clean the table and left us with menus to study. We opted for two mugs of 'proper' tea. The place looked a bit closed at first because the lights were off, which was a bit confusing, but once inside, it was clean and the service at the till was polite and friendly. However, my experience could have been better, my sister noticed that a staff member was picking her nose and later vaping while preparing food. Fish and Chips near the sea is always special. We saw the lunchtime special of cod, chips, tartar sauce and tea or coffee at a very good price. We ordered bread battered chicken, chips and a margarita pizza to share. The restaurant has a stone bake oven and the pizza was amazing. Definitely the best Pizza in Shoreham in my eyes. Staff are friendly and attentive. A great selection of food and drinks. We ordered a breakfast Burrito, Salmon Bagel with a Mocha Iced Coffee and Super Green Smoothy. Everything was delicious, the breakfast Burrito is a total game changer and the salsa really packs it with flavour! Lovely outdoor seating area especially on a sunny day, but if you'd prefer to stay away from the sun then the inside of this place is perfect for the occasion, a laid back feeling from all the natural wood and green plant decorations.

We found this little golden nugget when we moved round the corner and we absolutely love their pizzas. Just like you get in Italy, light, fresh and just so tasty.
