I immediately recommend booking a reservation since it’s always so busy otherwise you’re looking at a long wait time. They do have a few standing tables if you’re lucky enough to snag one you can stand and eat there. Came here for a birthday dinner with a reservation. Although this is pricier than most pizza places everything we tasted was fresh, prepared well, and the menu was intentional with specials around seasonal produce and availability which I liked. We moved here a year or so ago and was our go-to pizza for easily the first 7/8 months after moving here. Our last I-don't-know-how-many pizzas have been sad, without enough cheese. Unfortunately I was living abroad but finally when I made it back to San Diego, it was time to try it. There were so many flavors that looked amazing like Sunset Square, Naughty Pie, Boozey Broome. But I ended up going with the Spicy Spring Pie which has Fra Diavolo Sauce, Pepperoni, Fresh Mozzarella, Pecorino Romano. I was with 3 others so this was nice to share the pizza. It was definitely enough as well. Solid amount of grease, cheese, and pepperoni...everything I wanted and more!! I did come here a 2nd time and got the Sunset Square which has Sweet Marinara, Fresh Mozzarella, Shredded Mozzarella and Pecorino Romano. To be honest, it was a bit underwhelming, I would definitely go for the whole pizza and the Spicy Spring Pie.

The service was downright awful. Our waiter was extremely rude and dismissive, making us feel unwelcome from the moment we sat down. We were told this was more of a college area. Can't remember the name of the area though. It has the best menu of all the Italian places we walked by on the same street. But this is the first time we come to check it out because my husband wanna eat pizza. The most surprising thing is that the pizza’s size is giant!!! Their pizza has two size options, small or large. We saw the price and thought large should be a normal size, but, it is amazingly super big! The taste of the pizza is super delicious, my husband is half Italian and he’s really happy about it. We built our own pizza, red sauce with pepperoni and salami with broccoli and bell peppers. We also loved their urbn salad. I recommend here for sure.

The bread itself to the calzone was good. It was fluffy but also chewy which is the sweat spot. that being said, I dont think the tofu scramble was a good fit for it. It didnt much of a texture which was disappointing and the flavor was pretty neutral. They do give you a curry sauce though which does add enough flavor to offset the tofu. The staff was super friendly and quick. We felt welcome the moment we entered. The price was a bit high for what I was expecting for a calzone at around $20 but that might be standard for san diego. In general I like the idea of what they were going for but I should have gotten something else.
