I highly recommend getting their chilli oil and try out all the pizzas. My favourites were the honey and garlic, and the seafood one but the name escapes me. It’s a really long wait time during peak times and staff will advise going for a walk and coming back. They’ll also grab your number just in case and if you’re after seats they can sort you out. There is limited seating and it gets even more limiting if it rains. Still worth trying if you’re after the best pizza in Sydney because it’s up there.

I ordered a vegetarian calzone (not on the menu) which the pizzaiolo was happy to do and even prepared some fresh veggies for it. The location fantastic, the service is great and friendly, but unfortunately, the food was a let down. The pasta was the biggest disappointment as it wasn't hot and lacking flavour. The Calamari came out small serving, but I'm not surprised considering this place is in Double Bay but not worth the money. The pizza was the better pick out of the main and entree options. If I was to go back again, the Vodka Rigatoni seems to be the crowd favourite! Very busy so I suggest booking. My wife and I ordered the the zucchini flowers, beef tartare, Andrea pizza & Balmain pizza. The zucchini flowers were very nice and sat in a pool of tomato sauce. Again with the Andrea there was no honey, salami was under whelming. There is plenty of hype with this venue so I would consider coming again to evaluate my review when ordering different items. Also have to mention the gentleman at front of house was lovely. The pizza are fresh from the oven with thin crispy base, good amount of toppings. The Montanara is definitely recommended if you can handle a bit of heat with the fragrant of black truffles. The staff are helpful and the food are served quickly. Even the restaurant is located in the business park of Macquarie Park but the ambience of the restaurant is fantastic that you don't realised it is. Parking there on a Sunday is easy. The only thing to be aware is that there is min. charge per head dining in. So if you just want to have one pizza I wouldn't recommend it. But definitely would come back again with friends and family for another round.

I was not sure what to expect but from the moment we stepped in the door everything smelled and looked amazing. The staff were so welcoming, waitstaff were also very prompt and accomodating. We ordered a lot of food and they really helped make sure we had plenty of room to enjoy it all at once to not miss out. The food highlight of the evening was the crustino beef tar tar, carbonara was spectacularly creamy and the prawn ravioli was a burst of flavour a true stand out. But of course I can’t forget the pizza! Diavola is my go to whenever I am ordering and this was the best one I’ve had yet. All desserts we tried were amazing and could not fault for presentation and flavour as well. I really couldn’t recommend this place enough, the vibe was very cool and intimate even with a group of 5. We will definitely be back!

The chefs have somehow managed to bring the essence of Italy to Surry Hills. Price is very reasonable and the servings are generous, especially considering the quality of the food and the location of the restaurant. Parking is difficult but it is absolutely worth it. Finally, staff are incredible. Friendly and accommodating from start to finish. We sent a dish back that we thought we hadn't ordered but it turned out our friend really had ordered it. My boyfriend and I booked a month in advance for our anniversary, but unfortunately, we were seated right next to the bar and almost blocking the door to outside, which made the experience feel quite uncomfortable. Service left much to be desired, it was very difficult to get our server’s attention as they didn’t check in with us during the meal, and they often appeared either stressed or disinterested. The interior is nice, there is an outdoor area, a bar and of course seating inside. The decor and lighting is usual for the city. It does feel crowded however, as tables are seated close together and the space is small. As for the food, it was a mixed bag. The truffle bread was underwhelming, but we did enjoy the vodka pasta, and the pizza had an authentic taste. However, the portions were quite small for the price, which made sharing difficult. The tiramisu was decent, though the caramel was really the only standout element. Overall, while some dishes were enjoyable, the experience didn’t quite live up to the hype.
