I have only been here once but the bagels and coffees here are pretty great. When I sat down with my friends, I ordered The Smooth Criminal and Cold Brew Coffee. You can come here by yourself, but I think having my friends there with me made the experience feel that much more warm- and the temperature is in the 50s as I make this review. This is the closest Cafe that served a lox bagel near where I live so I decided to check it out. I haven't been here in over 8 years the last time I had a lox bagel here I remember it being really good. The lox bagel I ordered was okay but I will say that I wasn't a fan of the really thick layer of cream cheese they put. It took away from the flavor of the smoked salmon. All I could taste with every bite was just cream cheese. And the tomato made the bagel soggy. I got it on a jalapeno bagel which was really good. I suggest that they take away the tomato and just add more red onion and cucumber. Also the red onion and cucumber they put in there were really small pieces but I do appreciate that they add a lot of capers. The lox bagel I had in Michigan didn't add that many capers but they did add lots of red onion and cucumber. So pros and cons to both but I actually preferred the one in Michigan better bc the ratio of everything was great where you could taste not only the cream cheese but also the salmon. The cucumber and red onion also really make a difference in the bite and the pieces are so small at Cafe jumping bean next time I'm going to have to ask them to add more and just take away the tomato. I don't think the tomato does anything for it in terms of taste. If I come back here I'm going to get it with no tomato, more onion and cucumber, and I'm going to ask for the cream cheese on the side so I can put it myself. Some people might like that they load it up with a thick layer of cream cheese but I just thought it took away from the actual taste of the salmon which was disappointing. I do think it's worth the value of $8 though bc they stuff it well but for this type of bagel where the salmon is supposed to be the star they over did it with the cream cheese and under did it with the red onion and cukes. I also ordered the caramel apple cider which was good but a little too sweet. Apple cider in general is sweet and I think adding the caramel made it even sweeter so that's my bad. It was good but I wouldn't get it again. It was $4.50 for the apple cider and an extra $1 for the caramel. In terms of customer service they were really polite and they got the orders out fast even though there was a long line. The place was super crowded at 1pm so there was nowhere to sit. I am a college student and Everybody's Coffee is such a great place to sit and study. There are so many tables and the atmosphere is always pretty quiet. They also play really good music that is never too loud which I appreciate. As for the coffee, it's is so good and more reasonably priced compared to many other coffee shops (a specialty iced latte w/ a milk alternative is under $7, when many other places tend to be around $8 in my experience). My favorite drink is their myan miel with soy milk, it's a regular miel with cayenne pepper I think, and it's perfectly sweet and spicy I love it! Their espresso is also very good, not bitter or acidic at all. Also the baristas are really nice and drinks/food come out quickly which is another plus. Overall I totally recommend Everybody's Coffee, and it's conveniently located near Wilson station so it's really easy to get to :))

I ordered my coffee and tea and paid at the register including tip to wait 30 minutes for an order. At no point did the barista communicate to me that she was experiencing issues with the system being down or did she stop taking orders while she frantically attempted to reset the system by tinkering with a bunch of cords behind her and get a hold of a manger by phone. She also proceeded to make a gentlemen’s order who came after me (it was juice so she maybe could still use that machine?) I wasn’t worried about it but At 20 minutes I still didn’t have my order. I got her attention and told her I could see she was experiencing issues and was trying to resolve them but that I needed to leave and get on the road…she asked if I could give her 10 minutes to which I said no I cannot and she turned around to continue trying to fix the system behind her. As she seemed so nice and trying to fix the solution I didn’t want to further take my frustration out on her but when she finally got the system to work there was still no apology, acknowledgment of the inconvenience, nothing. She gave me my coffee and tea and said thank you. It would seem that she probably just doesn’t know how to communicate directly in hectic and possibly “confrontational ” situations but I would have appreciated being informed of the situation and what was happening at the 10 minute mark. Malfunctions happen, but I really needed to be on the road in 10 minutes for a meeting and I would rather have taken any readily available offer instead of waiting 30 minutes. I was surprised that there was a line of about 15-20 people inside! The line did move efficiently, and they had a stainless steel refillable water station for the fold waiting in line. The tables were all being used- some for eating and chatting, others drinking lattes and reading books. I also love how the pastries are being brought out as they are ready. They must’ve changed to 3-4x different kinds of pastries as I was waiting in line. I ended up getting an array of pastries to share with my family. I purchased sourdough pumpkin strusel muffin, sourdough pineapple muffin, sourdough banana chocolate chip muffin (best muffin!). I also bought a honey crisp apple pastry, peaches and cream pineapple grout cherry danish, Cajun cheddar biscuit, and Emmie cake which is like a crispy spiced cake with seasame seeds on top. For coffee I tried the seasonal wolf spice latte and it was really good. Would totally go back. Support this sustainable, small, small business!
