The location was kind of off when you’re driving through but once you’re there it’s pretty good and secluded. They do have back patio seating which was a good touch. I decided to try this one based on reviews and unfortunately left without an impactful experience. Overall it was very underwhelming. First the coffee: it was strong and had a really good taste but unfortunately was not very hot. I’m not a super hot coffee type of person but this was basically room temperature. Something I also found really odd was that they didn’t have sugar. Just syrups. ???? I have never been to a coffee shop that didn’t have sugar. Pastries: we got two pastries, a chocolate croissant and a chicken pie. We asked both to be warmed up and while they were warm, much like the coffee, it was not very warm at all. They’ve changed from the slayer espresso machine to the more classic La Marzocco but haven’t missed a beat. Also had a small americano with some Amaya beans they had and it was close to a long black in size and it came out great too. Lots of flavor. The elevator was also out which made it really difficult for one member of our party because the only restroom is upstairs. Super small and homey! They didn't have the ingredients on hand to make the drink I requested, which was a bummer. However, the baristas were so kind to replace it with a cortado. Then on top of that they offered me a custom experimental drink. They came back with an espresso ice cream drink (which was INCREDIBLE) because they said their experiment failed 😂. The fact I was offered and experimental drink was really cool in it of itself. The icecream came from a place down the street called Amy's I believe. I could be wrong. Takes a little bit for the drinks to come out but it's worth the time considering the amount of true coffee taste you get. This place is tucked right behind Uchis and is right next to Theos. Decided to walk to this coffee shop for my morning coffee and to get some work done while I worked. The coffee was pretty good. I had a Flat White and a breakfast taco, which was so so. Half way through the drink it was like thick yellow mud, which got thicker as I continue to drink. The service was fair. I only counted 2 usable ones in the main room and a few in the back. There's limited seating but I actually didn't have to wait too long to get to an outlet. I also will reluctantly say it was a little too warm for me in this shop. There's a portal a/c unit plugged into the wall but still a little warm on a hot summer morning. However, the coffee shop definitely has many redeeming qualities. The staff are friendly and seem like cool people. The business is Black-owned based off what I found on their instagram. And they seem to host a lot of events for artists and community members alike. I do recommend this place. It's perfect for a meetup with friends or with a coworker to chat. I come from Kemah, Texas so I decided to try somewhere in Houston for my coffee fix and Campesino Coffee seemed cozy. To my suprise I was greeted by a friendly customer, and they have parking that wasn’t on the street available. As I approached inside it was more cozy of an environment than I expected. I loved the glassware for the hot & cold drinks. They definitely go with the aesthetic that the owner is achieving. I also love how traditional their menu is to a different culture. It’s different which is nice. I had the Horchata Latte w/ Horchata oat milk and it was lovely. Not to sweet and not to strong. I also had their tamales but they weren’t my cup of tea. I wanted to try something new. It’s nothing on there end! Last but not least they have a nice outdoor area with shading, and nice seats that are comfortable. Including plants. I just wish the plants were more lively not dead haha. All in all 10/10 a great experience with lovely coffee.

I went at the very end of the day on Sunday, so I honestly assumed the pastry selection might be pretty slim but was pleasantly surprised. I opted to get the blueberry (lemon) turnover and boyyyyy that thing was TASTY, the texture was on point and the filling was just enough (not overly done and not lacking like so many you’ll find elsewhere). I also went with the cold brew coffee which is my go to, the bean used was nice it was a nice flavor profile without being too bitter or too weak. Overall very happy with both items I got and with the experience as a whole - will most definitely be returning here soon.
