The chicken wings fell off the bone but were so dry they were hard to eat. The atmosphere is definitely unique with a bit of a retro vibe but having a modern twist. Apparently there is a movie theater upstairs where they show movies and you can eat while watching the film like they used to do back in the “old days”. Our table had a variety of foods from vegan food to a seafood tower to a steak to sushi rolls. While not a massive menu the variety of dishes was impressive. As you can see in the pics the food is impressive from the moment it arrives to the table to the first bite! And for the quality of the food the prices are quite reasonable! I would be remiss if I forgot to mention the excellent service we received as well! I would highly recommend Bernie’s to anyone looking for a great meal and a really wonderful experience!

We go back out to our car, only to realize the Quarter Pounder BLT in our order was made like a cheeseburger, so my bf went back in, which they tried to make a big deal over. The young guy at the front didn't even know what a BLT was lmfao After some back and forth, they gave us a new sandwich(pictured absolutely drenched in mayo, like why?) and a free big mac coupon, that you can only use in Kelowna, which honestly doesn't do us much good, given we're from out of town and won't be back any time soon. I decided to give this location a try even though I know the reviews are bad. I walked up to the window to pay and I noticed that it said $22. I told her that that's not the right price and she sarcastically said that I'm wrong and that that is the right price. Once I told her I didn't want combo she said. Oh okay and the price dropped to $18. So I paid it and then I went back and checked the menu and realized that the twister wrap is only $12. It's not like they were even busy and they somehow still overcharged me. When I went to get them to correct the mistake and charge back my card. They seemed annoyed even though they made the mistake. Since I was walking I could look through the drive-thru window and I saw inside just how filthy it is. Fries all over the ground. Dirt everywhere. Nothing has been wiped. Clearly these workers don't understand Canadian hygiene standards. KFC isn't a street food stall. It should be clean. I asked if they could give me some fresh chicken for my wrap because once it's been sitting longer than 10 minutes it gets soggy. They told me they couldn't do it and I asked how long it's been waiting for and they said 40 minutes. I know for a fact they're not supposed to let chicken wait that long so I told them to drop some more. They said they can't do that once again. Just being lazy because they're closing. I eventually got my wrap and ate it. The rap was fine. Chicken was a bit soggy but it was still okay. Good enough for a quick dinner. The workers need to understand that they can't just make up their own rules and that when they do they will get more angry customers. Closing the inside of the restaurant just so that they can go home earlier is just stupid. The workers need to learn their food safety and get it up to Canadian standards.
