But that was the culture and the style of the food. No issue with that as that is the reason for trying new places. Being a Tuesday it was slow, we were one of two tables with customers. While we were there one other table was seated and they ate quick and left. We were the last to leave at 7:30, the restaurant hours say open until 9. This is where it starts to go down hill. We opted to not pursue dessert for no reason other than nothing really jumped out. The waitress brought the bill and we were relaxing and talking about the dinner and the experience in general. While we were talking two things happened, first the waitress from 10 feet away looked over and mentioned that she couldn't see if we had put payment out or not. A rude move, a white invoice on a plate would clearly show if cash or cards were sitting on top of it. This appeared to be a ploy to hurry us along although they were open for another hour and a half. Second after the bill was on the table there was zero continued courtesy, mainly water and tea glasses ran empty, we were never asked if we would like more to drink or any thing else for that matter. No manager visit to the table, in this case it would have been the owner who was on the floor and seated us when we arrived. We can take a hint. We paid the bill and got the hell out. Maybe the couple that came in after us was exposed to the same treatment and that would explain why they were out so quickly. Anyway this was not how I expected to close the evenings visit. If I was giving a rating based on food alone it would be a 5 star rating. Exposure to a different cultures food is why we seek out new restaurants, well new to us anyway. Taking everything into consideration I am glad that I tried Tortugas but disappointed with the experience as a whole. I would like to try other items on their menu but would go back with low expectations and planning on getting out of there in a hurry.

The fryers are obviously shared and quality control is lax. Given how important vegetarianism is in India, I expect a lot more consideration. Most Indian restaurants are really good about this. It might be something big -- like an entire entree is missing. Or your chana saag is actually chicken saag -- so you're S.O.L. and have no dinner, or you have to call the restaurant and then drive over to pick up the item you actually ordered. At one point, I had so many refunds in a row that Flavor of India was flagged on my DoorDash account "for investigation" (whatever that means...). PRO TIP: The restaurant prefers the Toast app -- BUT no one seems to review or respond to issues reported through Toast. You're better off ordering from DoorDash -- at least you can get a refund if something is wrong. The food we order on Toast is actually delivered by DoorDash, so there's zero difference from the customer's perspective. Ordered a sausage and mushroom pizza the sauce could have used a bit more garlic but over all it was great. Our server was friendly and attentive even though they were busy we never waited for drink refills. Being busy they offered a few options for seating outside, on a couch or at a community table. We opted for the community table which was large enough to still have a private conversation. Next time we are in Longmont we will be in again.

For those that imbibe, there's plenty choices to choose from here without it being a daunting task. For those in Longmont looking for a za, there's other, bigger options, but Rosalee's is really the place you want to go. I love the atmosphere and that it's a small establishment because for some reason you know that you're going to get food with 100% love. We tried the chips and queso along with four tacos with rice and beans and a margarita. Everything was fantastic! It came out very quickly. The meat was seasoned to Perfection. The queso was great. Even though we stopped in around 2:45PM, the food and service we received were both excellent. The gentleman who took our order was very friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. Lukewarm nuggets, ice cold sandwich actually, lukewarm fries. The one that we have in my hometown is not as good sadly. So it is a treat when we are in Longmont to enjoy this quality. The food itself is mediocre and lacking in flavor which is disappointing because it has potential. Elote could be top tier and instead it could have come from a baby food jar -- not even close to elote. Sadly the service is even worse. When I arrived I was told the bbq sauces that were supposed to be included were no longer available and then later when I got home with the food and discovered one of the sandwiches had the wrong meat and one was missing pickles was told they no longer had pulled pork sandwiches on their menu so they went ahead and gave us two brisket sandwiches but didn’t bother to let me know when I picked up my order. The Mike's Famous Philly was OK, but not something I'd order again. I've had proper cheesesteak sandwiches before, and Jersey Mike's doesn't come close to me.
