Came in at 3:30 on the dot during the skijorring competition. We were able to get a seat at the bar. Service was fast and friendly. Food was great. The curry had some odd sides that were weird together but individually they were excellent. Everyone in my party loved their meals and cornbread was a great app to share.

This was such a great stop on our way to Aspen. We were looking for something quick, and a food truck was closed. The service was very quick even though the fried chicken was obviously homemade. And there were some fun looking cocktails as well. The homemade fries, AKA potatoes, were also delicious. The atmosphere is really cool, with an original brick wall and vaulted wood ceilings. The ability to cook meat is questionable but they're vegetables and drinks are delicious. The lamp pasta that they were raving about was overcooked and straight up disappointing. And the garlic cheesy bread although it was delicious tasted like Rosemary cheesy bread and not garlic cheesy bread but it was still delicious so I'll give points to that. And our service even though we had two waiters was flat out disappointing the only time we saw them what is when they took us our food and drinks and three times when we tried waving them down to express our concerns on the food they ignored us.

We had a great experience at High Mountain Pies in Leadville, Colorado! The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming.
The pizza was one of the best we’ve had perfect crust with no soggy spots. My kids loved the pineapple topping, and the dough was just right. We also tried the chicken wings with dry rub, and they were flavorful and cooked to perfection.
What really stood out was how kid-friendly the place is. While waiting for the food, the staff gave our kids a ball of fresh dough to play with such a thoughtful and fun touch! It kept them happy and entertained the whole time.
The vibe was relaxed and cheerful. Plus, the back patio has a lovely seating area with fresh air and a view of the mountains perfect for a peaceful meal.
We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Both of these were fantastic in very different ways. I loved the sweetness of the grapes on the Bacchanalia. It was one of the most unique pizzas I've had. The pork seasoning was delicious on the San Luís.
It's a busy place during lunch on the weekends and there is very little indoor seating, so be prepared to eat outside or take it to go.

I didn't expect this out here on the Mountain.
I ordered a regular cheese pizza just to see how it was gonna go. At least I asked for a bread recommendation, the dips were worth it and then some. This Pizza would be worth a half hrs plus drive if I was in copper or other neighboring cities I would come drive for it, they have a dine in area and a outside patio space, I took mine to go but this place is something that I want to come back to and dine in next time. I feel like the could buy a next door house connect a Skywalk and use up the capacity of the future seating area, add some tap drinks and nachos and I wouldn't ever have to leave.
By the way, great undercarriage. Ordered standard tossed crust.

The staff who seated us was so friendly. The restaurant atmosphere has a wonderfully old steakhouse feel that I found so comfortable. The service was attentive and quick. Now to the most important part. I ordered a 6oz filet that was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. I have paid so much more for steaks that were nowhere near as good. I would visit here again and again if I could! I highly recommend that if you’re coming for a train ride-plan for dinner at Quincy’s!!!

I have been going to Quincys for 25 years and have enjoyed the prime rib. Sadly the quality of the meat has gone down to the point where you can’t even cut it or chew it. I had to spit out the meat into a napkin because I couldn’t swallow it. My problem is the product should never have been served. It was full of grissle. The manager did not handle our complaint well. My point was to the manager is, why serve a piece of meat uneddible in the first place. Go back to your higher standards Quincys. We will not come back.

This was our first time back after 2 years, and the food was just as great as I remember. The steak was cooked properly, the potato was soft and buttery, and the bread was a perfect palet cleanser. The steak sauce had an interesting aftertaste, but that's perhaps only a personal preference. The Shirley Temple was an excellent drink choice, and the staff were most kind. We were seated quickly, however, the waitress seemed unacquainted with the drink menu...nevertheless kind and helpful. After the meal, I excused myself to the washroom to relieve myself whenever I found that the door was locked! The restaurant only appeared to include a single sized person washroom accommodation. Sadly, I never saw this person leave the washroom...I had to relieve myself elsewhere. They could still be there? Shortly after this, and well without warning, we were surprised to find an automatic gratuity for our party of five...
Apart from all this, I would still recommend trying out this steak & spirits for your spiriting needs.

With that said, the food was terrible. The chicken and waffles were three quarters of a freezer burnt waffle and two pieces of freezer burnt chicken. We came on an extremely busy weekend… Skijoring weekend! People overload! Considering that I think we got a table relatively quickly, after only waiting 30ish minutes. We had traveled from Cali to CO and had taken a road trip to go whitewater rafting, after which we were so hungry! Casa Blanca boasted authentic food as well as great service! The place is smallish in size and has a homey atmosphere. The chips and salsa were great and hit the spot!!!
The food is served fast and hot! We easily ordered a little more than we could eat even as hungry as we were! The red and green sauces are very flavorful but don't overpower the taste of the dishes we ordered. I didn't even get photos of all the food we ordered as my family chowed down!

Sadly they did not, but we did place a take out order. We got our food back to the hotel room, my wife discovered a small container with chicken in it. Attached was a note apologizing that they could not accommodate our dog, but sent this chicken just for her. It totally made our night. This place is awesome. I know Cuban sandwiches, even the breakfast ones, are usually large, so we just ordered one egg, ham and cheese sandwich to share. My son and I split it and it was filling enough for two. Amazing tacos!! We tried this food truck last year on a whim and thought it was really good. My son was obsessed and upon our return we hit it again as soon as we got into town....delicious. We did a sampler of most of the meats, and all are unique, loaded with flavor, and tender. Just 2.50 a taco. A little more for the shrimp tacos, but they are stellar. What a cool place. This was our first time in The Famous, and we were seated at dinner time within 10 minutes. We were towards the back so it was easy to have pleasant conversation at the table with low noise level. The staff were very attentive and took our orders for drink and then later for meals quickly. The menu is well thought out and focuses I felt on pizza, although we tried their other dishes. Chicken Parm was good and a nice portion. Garlic shrimp was a lovely dish and well presented - very garlicky but would recommend. Caesar salad was also good and a nice portion. The inside has been remodeled and is spotless as are the restrooms. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. We had two margaritas that were very good and seemed like a double shot of tequila; and, after our meal, they gave us two more complementary tequila shots which they called "Mexican dessert". The Pork carnitas were the best meal. We also had a beef and chicken chimichaga. They were not fried as traditional and we thought they had too much chili powder for our liking. Found this breakfast/lunch place on our visit to Leadville. You order (and pay) at the counter and then they bring your good out to you. The #1 Bagel Sammie had crunchy bacon, a big slice of cheddar and a fried runny egg on a plain or everything bagel - it was probably the best breakfast bagel I’ve ever had!! My friend had the #5 Bagel Sammie with the Locks & cream cheese on a gluten free bagel and she loved it. The outdoor patio was relaxing and the service was friendly and timely. I noticed they have a No Pets sign on their outdoor patio but I saw at least 4 dogs with their owners enjoying the patio so I guess it’s ok to bring your dogs as long as they are leashed. The atmosphere on the patio was much more inviting than the inside. I would go here again to eat breakfast or lunch!

If you’re reading this you’re probably looking for a good coffee shop. Here’s my 2 cents. This is not a good coffee shop this is a GREAT coffee shop. During my visit to this awesome city I patronized several food and drink establishments. Zero day Coffee is undoubtedly my favorite. If you enjoy meeting friendly people, drinking delicious coffee in a chill space with a welcoming vibe check this place out. The cubano, chai, and lattes are spot on. They even have wine nights on the weekends. Plus it’s also a gear shop with many quality products. The baristas Vanessa and Groucho as well as Avery the owner are a pleasure to meet. One visit and I guarantee you’ll be back.

The proprietor was also traveled and had visited the town we were traveling from, so we had a pretty cool conversation about the AT. all in all, it was a wholesome and fulfilling experience. Decent bar food type place that is set back from all the touristy type places in Leadville. Though the bartender did a great job, kind of surprised it was just one person taking care of the bar, dining room and patio—which while she did real good, service could have been a lot better for the busier weekend lunch hour. The burger was decent (jalapeño bacon) but the fries were terrible and tasted like yesterday’s food reheated. The fries were 1/2 my meal and I couldn’t stomach more than two—when I mentioned the problem the bartender said she would talk to the chef about it and then did so right in front of me (but they both seemed to just shrug it off).

I used to be a fan of this place until my last experience made me never go back.
My hiking buddy and I hitched a ride to Leadville from the Mount Massive Wilderness with a 67-year-old Kansas retiree Gary and his 7-year-old service dog Maggie. We were outside this bar when Phil and his rabid dog attacked poor Maggie. Phil screamed at Gary to pull his dog from the attack, but it was clearly Phil’s dog who was uncontrolled. My hiker friend yelled and cursed at Phil that it was Phil’s fault, but Phil explained that Maggie deserved it since it was a public sidewalk. After the incident, we sat in the bar, and Phil asked us to leave due to the incident. We gladly left.
I cannot support a business that employs Phil.

We promptly took our 8 person party to the scarlet after this. This is a huge pro lgbt bar and not welcoming to blue collar people. If ur a local or work for A living go elsewhere. Food was much better than I was expecting for 'bar food'. Bacon cheeseburger was killer. Fries were cooked to perfection.
Really only the downfall was the selection of beer, but was still able to find something I like. Beer was corona, PBR, Blue Moon, Coors, and a few IPAs. Not a huge selection but you can find at least one that you'll like.

We stopped in this morning and absolutely loved it! This is the place for breakfast & coffee! The cappuccino was rich and smooth, and the oat cookie latte was such a fun and delicious twist. The breakfast food was just as amazing; the burrito came out warm and perfectly satisfying, and the croissant sandwich was flaky, buttery, and so good. Cozy atmosphere, great service, and everything we tried was spot on. Definitely a place worth coming back to!!
