My friend recommended we have lunch here since we both LOVE Mexican food — and we’re so glad we did! We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Maria. She is such a beautiful person, inside and out — so helpful and caring toward her customers.
Our meal was absolutely delicious and clearly made with LOVE. Everything tasted fresh, and the portion sizes were generous and satisfying. The staff was super friendly and courteous, and the overall vibe of the place was fantastic. We especially enjoyed the outdoor patio — plenty of shade and misters kept it cool and comfortable for dining.
I highly recommend stopping by if you haven’t tried this spot yet. It’s conveniently located right off Highway 80 at the Forest Hill exit. Be sure to say hi to Maria when you visit! We’ll definitely be back — we had such a great experience!

We were on the way to Tahoe from San Francisco for my soon to be sister-in-law‘s bachelorette. We stopped here for a quick bite for lunch. Such a cute little place that was perfect for a stop. We all got our food super quickly, even though there was only two people working in the service was amazing. We have been going to this In-N-Out Burger in California since it was built. It is a a favorite stop. Haven’t been back for sometime and really was hoping that California In-N-Out Burger would dump the double burger and acquire the impossible burger as a vegan and vegetarian option.

Great fast food in Auburn! Went May 7th..see my receipt. I went here at 1030am (when they open) to get my friend a burger as neither one of us has been here in awhile. The line inside and outside was already quickly forming! I understand why they are always slammed..good burgers and good fries!
The prices are still the most competitive in town. My friend ordered the number 1....animal style on the burger (is that a secret?!) That came with their fresh cut fries and a drink. I had a bite of the burger..huge and juicy!
This chain knows what works..consistently good food AND keeping their prices affordable! They have indoor and outdoor dining plus a VERY busy drive thru! Oh Taco Tree, I've been a customer since before T-Swift was born. Yup, for that long. What keeps me coming back to this local Auburn fast food joint are those darn simple classic tacos and bunless tacos. Simply tasty.
The tacos shells are hard shell pre made. They have a cathartic crunch. The ground beef is drained well, so no oily drippy mess. The tacos are filled with meat, shredded lettuce and cheese. Layered in that order. For folks wondering what the heck is a bunless taco, wonder no more. A bunless taco is their taco fillings served in a hamburger bun. Ohh I was also a big eater of their nachos, but my cheesy nacho eating days are behind me. But if yours aren't, give theirs a go.
Gotta mention, sure this place and me have experienced our off days with each other... like the time they sold me tacos with stale shells and the other time with smashed shells. But those anomalies occur rarely, like 1 in 50. Not a bad average.

Food is way less quality and quantity than they used to be. Sad to see an Auburn icon fall from the golden throne of "must haves" to go hum. Super burritos used to be bursting at the seams but has the same feel as the old bean and cheese burrito, the nacho plus used to cover the container ,even in swap style, and now I can see 1/3rd of the container bottom. I get that things are expensive now but when your upping your prices galore and lowering your quality it hurts a true Auburnite such as myself. This place was the exception to fast food but has become a taco bell without the marketing. Not trying to be mean but have dined at this place for the last 28 years and the downfall is most obvious! It is a to go joint but those of us that are locals remember the quality and abundance that came from Taco Tree and we are now sorely missing those days. New transplants and passers though will not know the joy of the true taco tree! We used to be friends and now I'm hurt deeply, lol.

I used the app this time which I don't normally do and when I got there my order was being packaged up and everything labeled with such precision I was taken back. Food was hot. It was my first time in and I like it enough to go again. I got a Turkey Caesar Wrap combo and chose a bottled diet root beer. The food was really good.
The service was under-welming. The two employees stayed constantly busy doing their chores (which is very impressive in today's world, so kudos for that) but their interactions with any patron was flat, dull and nearly non-existent.
I drove an hour specifically to eat there with my friend for her birthday (first time for us both) and wouldn't make a special trip for the place again. I would revisit if I were in the area.

It's so hard to find real BBQ in the area. Smokey Pit was not the Holy Grail I was hoping to find. The brisket was okay, however it was shredded and smothered in sauce. The pork ribs were very fatty and seemed like they had been reheated. The restaurant in itself seem to be not very sanitary and that obviously is a huge red flag. I'd give this place a pass next time and pray that something better shows up in the Auburn area.

Hands down the best BBQ place in the area. Small family business ran by a man who cares about his work. It's a small hole in the wall with little to no curb appeal besides a large star sign above the door. The food was absolutely delicious and the servings are more than fair. He smokes and cooks his meat outside their front door in a smoker that fills the air with a wonderful smell. The pulled pork is my favorite dish with soft and a tender pork mouthful. It goes along with two sides. He brings your food to you and keeps each portion separate using plates that have their own compartments. We will continue coming here every time we are in the area. His food is great and so is his attitude. Customer service was great. The building is small and there are only a few tables, even a few outside. But it's a diamond in the rough right off of the freeway! Stop by often!

I'm am giving this trip to Togo's a four on food. While the service was great, as usual, I was not impressed with the new French Dip sandwich. I never considered this sandwich as spicy. I'm not much of a spice girl, so when I took the first bite, I was quite surprised at the spice. I tried a bite without the dip. It was definitely the roast beef that wad spicy. I bought a 6" and normally have no problem finishing that size sandwich. I only eat hslf. While the flavor was good, it just had too much after bite. I'll save the rest for dinner.

Togo's doesn't even deserve one star I paid for 2 9in sandwiches and 3 brownies through Uber Eats. A bit disappointed. The person who gave me my food was really nice and courteous. I ordered online and picked up in store. When I got home: 1 Sandwich was not toasted and had mustard on it when I requested no mustard, Another sandwich did not have the mayo added, the extra Italian dressing or wheat bread as requested. The salad and 3rd sandwich was fine, thankfully. Usually we do not have trouble with Togos and this was extra upsetting as the staff was not busy at all. They were not making any to go orders and only had one customer eating in the restaurant. Not sure why they did not follow the instructions on the order. I was disappointed with the gal who assisted me and my family today. I understand it gets busy and loud at times but people need to understand without customers there is no job. This lady had a mask on, so not only was it loud but it’s hard to hear her. She was a bit rude and made a hand gesture as if I was taking long. I like Costa Vida, a lot. But this one is definitely not my favorite. I could usually eat at the other locations several times a week, but this location seemed a little rude. They rushed making the burrito when no one else was in line and got mad when I asked them to put lettuce in it, they wanted to wait till after they cooked it and just put it on the side. I guess they know how I like burritos better than I do. They also didn't have over a third of the normal ingredients. They were out of everything. And didn't want to refill it, because when I asked where it all was, they just said, were out, but while I was eating 10 mins later I saw them pull the ingredients out. It was a bad experience. I would've given it less stars, but I like the chain in general and didn't want people to think that all of them are bad.
