Patio is located right above the water, with the most stunning view you can imagine. We were delighted to be sited outside. We arrived at 5:30 on Sunday and got our names on the waitlist. Thankfully we didn’t have to wait for now to get seating out at the patio. Our server was Hailey. The service is top notch, she came to check on us multiple times to make sure all are to our likings. We ordered grilled octopus, which is so tender and fresh. The butter squash soup and bruschetta are tasty too. The shrimp and scallop pasta with rose tomato source was perfect. We love the deco and the soft music as well. We will definitely come back to try the other items on the menu if we visit here again in the near future.

We had the 8oz steak with garlic mashed potatoes and the shrimp and scallop pasta. The pasta has to be one of the better ones I’ve had in recent years in Canada. It’s so flavourful, and the scallops are pretty big. The steak was cooked to the temperature I preferred and the mashed potatoes were fluffy and creamy. For dessert we had the blueberry cherry cake, it’s the special cake for today, and it was so moist, the combo of blueberries and sour cherries worked so well. Can really tell it’s made from scratch and a lot of care. If I come back to the wharf I’d eat here again lunch and dinner.

The desserts were a bit of a let-down, while some of the offerings were very good, I was a bit surprised to see what appeared and tasted like Costco two-bite cinnamon rolls on the plate. Our tour bus was leaving at 4:30p. We walked to the plunge. At 2:30p the lady came and asked the 1st couple for their time slot. They said theirs was for 3:30p. Lady said that's fine they can join the 2:30p plunge. We were next. I explained ours was for 4:30 and we cant do the plunge for 4:30 because our bus leaves at 4:30p. Lady said, no. They were all booked up and had no spots. NO SPOTS AT ALL. Just no. (I mean 2 just opened up for 3:30p). I was very shocked. It was clear what was happening. I've never experienced this before and we walked away and I tried to forget it. This was the lady who was thin/average size, black and white hair, wavy/curly, about my height maybe a bit shorter (5"5). I didn't get her name. I should have. I honestly tried to think of other reasons why it was an instant no for us but a yes for the white couple before us. Racism is really the only answer. We should have been able to atleast take that couples time slot if the time slots were full. I can honestly say I will never visit again. I will be reaching out to the bus tour company about the situation as well as I think they should know what their customers are experiencing and should consider another location if possible. Everyone else was really nice and friendly, except that 1 lady. Unfortunately it takes 1 person to ruin an experience. I will also reach out to the company and send them an email and request their employees receive training.

The lady who welcomed us was friendly and accommodating, sat us at our table and then our server took care of us! The Mac and cheese with pulled pork was nicely balanced, between the seasoning from the pork, to the spicy touch of the candied jalapeños, the pasta was a bit overcooked and needed extra sharpness from a stronger cheese, but we devoured it nonetheless. We also ordered the dirty burger which was really juicy. The bread was the perfect match for the meat and fries were crispy and perfectly salted. It came with their homemade ketchup, yes, HOMEMADE…just go try it, it was really nice and complimented the food very well! Last but not least, we also had the chicken sandwich with the Caesar salad. Really nice sandwich, however, the chicken could have been seasoned a bit more. Regardless we still devoured it lol. We took the salad home and had it the next day, it was good, loved the fried capers in it. Our server was amazing, she even bonded with us over cute funny jokes about the food. From the moment I arrived, the service was welcoming and the atmosphere was inviting and vibrant. I ordered the Birria de Res and it was absolutely delicious! The beer is good and the outdoor space is amazing! However, the staff doesn't seem to care about much.
