This was my first time here. I thoroughly watching all the patrons enjoying this very BUSY pub...a testament to the pub food, right? Loved that, where we'd see hymns listed, now we see church beers! Pictures included. I ordered fish and chips...a Maritime favorite...with a glass of Illuminate Pale Ale. I am an old woman, rarely drink beer, but it was a HOT Nova Scotia day, so I indulged. The beer was delightful, light, with a hint of mango. Thi chips were grand, light and crisp, perfect for ketchup dipping. The battered fish...interesting...I enjoy light, flaky battered fish. This wasn't it. The batter was okay...nice and crisp...but the fish was heavy and chewy...not my taste at all...but I'm sure that MANY other patrons enjoyed it, just like that. After a couple of bites, I left it. My young server was great, and attentive. I did mention my concern to him, and he reduced my fish and chips by 50%, GOOD business practice. Would I go back? ABSOLUTELY. Great service, and ready to try some new pub food.

Others within the group had each of the fish dishes (fish sandwich and fish plate) and said it was amazing, so I would recommend staying away from the burger and ordering the fish.
