The experience of eating here is very bad, and the price is not reasonable. Seeing many people queuing up, I thought it would taste good, but the result was not as expected. 在澳洲三年见过服务最差的一家店，刚进店看到门口有个等位的牌子，中午里面很多空位，我跟朋友在门口站了两分钟也没人来迎一下，我就是直接进去吧这么多空位呢……结果刚进去一个女服务员跑来态度巨差的说请在门口等位，我们以为有什么东西先要填，又傻呵呵跑来门口，她一脸不爽的从门口拿了两个菜单，又给我们带位置....我们就跟傻子一样跟进跟出的，立马火就上来了拉着我朋友走了，那女的还白了我一眼，知道你家生意好，招服务员的时候请用点心好吗？

晚上永远排队等，也凑热闹去吃，Roti是他们家特色吧，还可以，其他东西就不是很好吃一般吧，但为什么生意好就不懂，店里非常嘈杂，吃饭环境很不好，同桌说话都听不到，价钱不贵.

Service was authentic because apparently staff are all from Italy and they bring a little bit of their family recipes to share at the restaurant. Pizza was ok. The antipasto was another star, it was a lot bigger than I had anticipated and had a variety of shaved meats, fresh and pickled vegetables and cheese. But where were the olives? Dessert was mixed. The chocolate truffle which came out as a huge chocolate ball of ice cream and chocolate goodness was delicious! If the waitress had been able to describe it better in English, we all would have got one! The highly anticipated tiramisu was a let down. I think some of the menu items are quite reasonably priced like the chicken, char kwa tiew, satay skewers, noodle soups etc, however some of the individual items likw tempeh and tofu at $3.50 is a tad excessive. There’s a really nice crunch from the salad veg which is all contrasted by the super tender and buttery, flaky whitefish. The mushy peas were really silky and, although some might say an acquired taste, complement the meal as a warm palette cleanser quite well (it feels like a London thing). The marinated octopus was probably the biggest sleeper for me – tender, super well seasoned and hearty, would go perfectly with a potato salad or slice of sourdough. Everything above is to-go. I arrived shortly after it had opened for the evening. The decor is nice and simple though a bit dark. There was no customers in there and it took a few minutes to be noticed. I decided to go with the Philly cheese steak with a side of fries. The steak was chewy, like it had been stewed because the temperature on the grill was too low, rather then a sizzling hot flash fry. This also made the whole bread roll very soggy rather then juicy and delicious. The meat was under seasoned, making the flavour very understated and boring. Fries were good, but prepackaged frozen chips are available everywhere with a deep fryer. I wasn't there for the fries. The waitress was attentive enough whilst I ate but then I had empty plates sat in front of me for 10 minutes after I had finished eating. There was one other costumer waiting for takeaway and one sat eating with a young child when I left. It was edible but with so much competition for little burger bars and $16 just for the sandwich, I expected much better.

The naan was clearly not fresh. The butter chicken and lamb roghan josh were so watered down they were practically flavourless, a sad excuse for dishes that are meant to be rich and bold. But the biggest crime of all was the mango lassi. What turned up was basically mango-flavoured water. We ended up stirring in spoonfuls of yoghurt from our own fridge just to make it resemble anything close to a real lassi. It is obvious the chef takes no pride in the food. Every dish felt like it was deliberately stretched thin rather than prepared with care. For a cuisine that should be bursting with spices, this was nothing but a watery disappointment. Then we come to the crowd itself - boisterous, ignoring personal space, not entirely surprising, but the numbers that this place are famous for seem to be a result of the throttling that happens - it seems like they are limited by the tikka coming from the back, so speed is not their forte (which, I'm just putting there as guidance, I don't mark them down further for this). Asides from the truffle the meat dish tasted good, its why this gets a 2 star on food and not 1 star. For $180 you're honestly better off flushing $168 down the toilet, going to mcdonalds and getting a big mac for the remaining $12. Quicker service, better taste, and you aren't held hostage for 3 hours. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want a beer. I take good photos. Don't let them fool you into thinking those abominations tasted good. Meat one was ok though, apparently the chef was from a good restaraunt who cooked it, so no wonder.

My friend who is Malaysian suggested to eat here and recommended a few dishes such as fried hainanese chicken and rice cake. I decided to go with fried hainanese chicken rice and was pleasantly surprised how good it tasted. Firstly 👍🏻 for being boneless and secondly it tasted different to the traditional hainanese chicken. It’s not common to find the fried version in Sydney but it’s common in Malaysia. The rice and chilli sauce isn’t as good as Jimmy’s but it’s still a nice dish. Teh tarik a milk tea also tasted good. It wasn’t too sweet and tea was strong enough to keep me working for the afternoon. Service is rather slow for a non busy foodcourt 👎, and this why jimmy’s is more popular because food is served quickly. If you’re looking to eat here at lunch, main meal + drink will cost you $20. It’s worth a revisit though, and I’ll definitely try other dishes next time. Review 15 June 2023: Today I tried the seafood radish cake dish, it was an okay dish, but included a fair amount of ingredients such as prawns, fish cake, egg, radish cake in small pieces, bean sprout and shallot. The toppings were fresh. Reasonably priced too. But the pizza was quite tasteless. It had these really insipid tomato slices, which I had to take off. The sauce was very scarce and tasteless.
