I intended to stay here only two nights, but at the end I stayed here four since I just really liked the food, drinks and the surroundings. They were able to provide the bus to Phong Nha with ease, you could book the trip still if it was the evening before.

First came here in 2016 and had a blast so I knew I had to come back on my second trip. Did not disappoint! The staff are amazing and there is always a great vibe about this place. Pool table, good food and cheap beers. Easily the best hostel I have stayed in! Met some great people both times.

The food itself was great the problem is is they wouldn’t let you order just an individual dish they told me that they did not exist and the only thing I could eat was a giant platter of food which I did not want to do because I was about to go swimming so they made me purchase this platter for 350,000 dong. My colleague and I had dinner here during a quick working trip to Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. Although I’ve known the owner, Hai, for quite a few years, this was our first time experiencing his now well-known restaurant — just a stone’s throw from what many call the best cave in the world.

The restaurant has air conditioning, and the staff are polite and helpful. The portions were good sizes and they packed up what I couldn't eat for a takeaway. Whoever said the portion sizes are small must be grossly overweight from the western world! Someone even said that a skinny chef shouldn't be trusted! Delicious pizza, high quality dough and fresh veggies. They made me a vegan pizza with no issue, staff are so friendly with great English.

Tree Restaurant Cafe & Restaurant is a true hidden gem that delivers an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. I was immediately impressed by the peaceful, nature-inspired atmosphere — surrounded by greenery, wooden accents, and a cozy yet modern design that creates the perfect setting for any occasion.
The food here is simply outstanding. Every dish is thoughtfully crafted, beautifully plated, and bursting with flavor. I especially enjoyed the fruit salad and chicken cashew nut vegetable, chicken lemongrass also Tofu and curry — it was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The menu offers a great mix of local and international cuisine, with vegetarian and healthy options available too, which I really appreciated.
What really stood out to me, beyond the food, was the warm and professional service. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the restaurant. They were happy to answer questions and made great suggestions based on our preferences.

The service staff was nice and really friendly.
The food itself was good but not great. Don't expect it to have the same quality and taste as in Italy. It's probably as good as you're going to get in Vietnam regarding western food.
I think I would have enjoyed the food more with some wine, however the wines on the shelf were not acceptable for me. The choice made was unintelligent.

Но ужасная еда, мы заказали жареную свинину на выбор (с рисом или лапшой), получили обычный жареный рис с маленькими кусочками свинины за 85k. My friend and I visited the Tree House Cafe for breakfast and we had a fantastic time! I had the eggs benedict with salmon which was so delicious and super filling. There are also Vietnamese options for food. The atmosphere was amazing too - very peaceful and chilled. We needed to do some work and were able to sit upstairs in a quiet part of the restaurant and work on our laptops. The internet is great and there is plug access too. We spent a few hours here and Ngoc (who served us) was so friendly and chatted with us about our travels and told us some of her favourite stories. She also brought us a complementary tea while we worked which was so lovely! All round a 10/10 experience - definitely stop here when you're in Phong Nha!

I am a tourguide, i lead a group of 10 people to eat for lunch from here because I just believe in reviews from GG map.
My customers told to me do not come back here anymore. Because they so dishonest when my customer oder chicken pho ( they brought chicken with beef broth)... My customer very do not like about beef. Plus to me they forgot about my ordered when I asked to change the owner very unhappy about that, He blamed me as a strict person... and then he gave us as the bow old rice with the long hair inside which is very unfriendly and less respect for us.
More over the owner after that say sorry about that many times and gave us some bananas, i am almost forgive that. But my driver and customers still do not like this one so much.

Literally the best food you can get in Phong Nha, in 4 days we’ve eaten here 4 times. Everything is so tasty and fresh, and a bit different from the rest of the places around the town. I’m sure even the meat eaters will appreciate it.

We ate every meal of our 3 day stay in Phong Nha here. The food was delicious and you get more than the usual options. I can recommend the braised aubergine, veggie tempura and the spicy soup! For drinks we liked the coconut mango smoothie and the lemonade. I didn’t love the spring rolls though as they lacked filling and flavour in comparison to other ones we had in vietnam.
On some days (for us it was wednesday) they have 50k vegan buffet, which was amazing value for the price!

I had mixed feelings about my visit to Phong Nha Vegan. I ordered two dishes: spicy noodles and bánh xèo.
The bánh xèo was delicious, crispy, and full of flavor – definitely the highlight of my meal. However, the spicy noodles were disappointing. It turned out to be instant noodles with just a few toppings added. It didn’t taste fresh, and I ended up leaving more than half of it unfinished.
The biggest issue for me was the long waiting time. I had to wait about 30 minutes for my food, even though there were only three customers in the restaurant. The staff mentioned they were short on workers, but with such a small crowd, I expected quicker service.

Sau khi ăn xong mình đến Bella Spa làm massage body. Sảnh của spa ko có máy lạnh, cũng ko có quạt hơi nước nên rất nóng vào tháng 8. Có 1 cái quạt đứng nhỏ gần chỗ sofa ngồi chờ nhưng ko thể đủ. Mình ngồi chờ 10p cho tiêu cơm để vô massage mà ướt hết áo dù có quạt.

Disappointing Stay Despite Good Location and Friendly Manager
I really wanted to enjoy my stay at this resort because the location is great, and the manager is very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end.
The corridor smelled strongly of dead fish, which was extremely unpleasant and made it hard to even walk to the room comfortably. Inside the room, things weren’t much better – the toilet door couldn’t close properly, and the lock was broken, making it feel very insecure.
We also had serious electrical issues. Some power sockets didn’t work at all, and most of the others had unstable electricity, constantly turning on and off, which is dangerous and could easily damage your devices.
Customer service was also a letdown. The Zalo support staff, My Duyen, was unhelpful, unfriendly, and seemed uninterested in assisting guests. When we tried to raise concerns, she appeared annoyed and dismissive.
Overall, it’s a place with potential, but the current state of facilities and poor support make it not worth the price or trouble. I hope the resort addresses these serious issues soon.

Positively solved!
I've already put in report to Google, that this place doesnt exist anymore. As previous review (literally few hours before us), we booked everything through AGODA and we were supposed to pay on-site.
When we arrived, the taxi driver was already confused, cuz he knew they sold it/joined (i dont know) with Celina resort.
Celina was confused and couldnt find our name anywhere.
We called the customer service at Agoda and after 1 hour of searching our reservation and solving the problem, they apologized for the misshap and assured us, that we do have a place to stay.
In the end, we are staying in Voco resort (same price, same room as pictures, same reservation), but they mistook the name of the hotel due to their location system (what do I know, how these things work). We made sure to tell Agoda to clear up the mistakes on their website and remove it.
Lots of reviews are confused with Celina, please Google, take action.

We are an Aussie family of four - 2 adults, 2 kids. The Lake House Resort in Phong Nha was the perfect base for our three days in this beautiful area.
It is located a fair way out of the main township, which was perfect for us as we were looking for complete peace and calm. We had breakfast included which was fantastic, and ate both of our dinners at the hotel during our stay here - food was awesome and well priced for a hotel.
We had two West Lake Villas side-by-side, one with a king bed and one with a double plus a large single. Beautiful traditional Vietnamese architecture, combined with modern cosy twists. Super, super comfy beds with gorgeous canopies over the top, super clean, huge bathrooms and the added bonus of an outdoor bath and shower as well!
Sensational air conditioning, and private balconies right on the lake - which was just the most spectacular setting. Very private, quiet and peaceful.
The resort offers free kayaking and swimming on the lake, plus two pools. We really wish we had booked another full day here, just to enjoy swimming and kayaking. Highly recommend.

We spent 2 nights, 3 days in Phong Nha Lake House Resort. One day was spent seeing ‘Paradise Cave & Dark Cave’ which were great. The rest of the time we hung out at the hotel. One trip into town confirmed that this really is the place to stay!
The bungalows are perfect, by the lake, quiet and fabulous for relaxing.
The spa was also the best place in town. Everything is purpose built and you’ll wish you’d stayed longer!
There are 2 pools, and all the lake activities like kayaks etc. if you can get up the energy lol !
Dinners were amazing, I prefer vegetarian where possible and the first nights clay pot, salad, soup, greens and rice are a high point of our travels in Vietnam. 2nd night was fish clay pot, salads, vege and rice, and again delicious. The family at the neighbouring table had pizza and the kids loved it!
The hotel is slightly out of town which is great, as there’s no noise or building works to contend with, and the front desk (thank you Sarah) will gladly organise your trip into town, or spa time or anything else you need.
The majority of the staff speak English very well, which is another great upside to staying here.
I really can’t recommend this place enough.

Lots of varying happy hour drink deals (5pm-9pm) and a large social area with regular live music from the locals and guests alike. Good hammock chill out area near the pool too. A very large hostel and relatively cheap hostel for 190k in dong per person for either a single or double bed it is well worth the stay. The beds are very comfy and A/C in each room. The restaurant is huge with a large selection of western food available which tastes fantastic. It is a good base for tours around the area or simply hiring a bike of your own for 150k in dong for the day. The staff are kind and very useful.

I didn't stay here but I had dinner and the next day watched the live band and bought some sweets for the road. The value for the portions you get is really great. I had the mixed fruit plate with yogurt and it was a lot of food! I also got the banana bread, where you get two big warm slices and can choose between chocolate, honey, or some other topping. I chose chocolate and it came with peanut butter as well. It was one of the best banana breads I've ever had and with those toppings, I was in heaven <3. I also got the chocolate cheesecake muffin to go and it was delicious. After eating healthy so much, I splurged a bit on the desserts!
The live music ran from about 7 - 11pm with different bands singing alternative rock songs from the 90s (songs that were popular in the U.S. back then) and they were really good, the whole crowd would sing along at some points too.
The hostel itself looked nice, with large communal dining tables, a pool table, swimming pool, and big social vibe.

Excellent place to stay! It is sooo social and friendly! Such a good space to chill out with all the hammocks, pool and benches, you will meet people so easily. Live music every night which is a bit annoying as it's so loud you can't speak to people. It stops at 11 though and people go to the nearest bar.
A few reviews say the food was bad but we had a great experience. The food was delicious and after 10 weeks of rice and noodles, some good western food was a welcome break.
Rooms are nice but SO hot. The air con is awful and they only have it on between 7pm-10am, and I swear it doesn't work. We also had cold showers but it wasn't too bad.
The free information talk is great! They tell you the cheapest way to do things and don't push any tours on you.
Make sure you book in advance as they're so packed all the time. You have to book two nights minimum, but we ended up staying 3 anyway!

Lively hostel with a great layout. Full sized lockers in the rooms (we had no issues putting our 50L bags in them, as well as our motorcycle helmets). Clean towels, hot water, friendly staff. Really nice premium hostel. Everything is thought out and the staff are helpful.
There are nice big lockers in each room where you can store your backpacks and each bed has a mosquito net. Towels are provided and the food downstairs although pricey is really good.
The only down sides are the price which is 180k for a dorm bed, and the checkout time is a bit early at 10am. The bar closes at 11pm which is slightly early but benefits anyone sleeping here.

Excellent meal! We got the potato gratin, Chicago pizza and the beef steak. Delicious and we loved the music, was a vibe. Really nice pizzas we didn’t have high expectations at first but we got the bbq chicken pizza and Hawaiian pizza and both were great!!! Only one star off for slow service but it was worth the wait as the food was good

Service war sehr nett! Pizza ist wenn man italienische Pizza aus Europa gewöhnt ist, sicher nicht die beste, aber nach 2 Wochen nur Vietnamesisch mal eine gute Abwechslung und schmeckt trotzdem lecker :)
