We visited on Saturday and went for a sit in meal, we could absolutely understand the hype! We were served by Jemma and Neha who did an excellent job at helping us pick which dishes to choose and make us feel welcome right away. There is no dedicated Vegan menu but Jemma informed us that any of the mains can be made plant-based aside from the cream based options such as Pasanda/Korma. This means there is a huge choice for Vegans here and everything we ordered was delicious! We started with the Vegetable Pakora which was perfectly cooked with a crispy and beautifully spiced batter. On Jemma's advice I ordered the Vegetable Biryani. I was able to swap the curry sauce for one of the mains sauces, I chose the Jalfrezi. This was one of the best Biryanis I have ever had, extremely flavourful and packed full of different veg giving it a great texture. The Jalfrezi was hot, with a rich tomato based flavour. Also we tried the Chana Masala which once again beats the others I have recently tasted. It had a slightly tangy and sweet flavour which really made it stand out. Along side this we had the Stuffed Paratha which was lovely, just what you need to mop up your sauce 😁 Overall this was a fantastic meal: the service was brilliant; food, super tasty and the price was extremely reasonable. On arrival the check-in was processed as normal and we got our keys to the room. On first look at the room was very nice however there was no air-conditioning. The bed was comfortable but with the dead air it just was hard …. More it was only 14C outside but you could not get air into the room. There was a fan but you could not really open the windows. There was a security holder so the window only opened 3 inches. Health and safety gone mad unfortunately. Breakfast next morning was amazing. A lesson in how to provide a buffet breakfast. 1 star removed for the lack of air conditioning which would not have been a problem if we could have opened the window. (I have stayed 53 hotel nights in 5 different countries so far in 2025 and managed not to fall out the windows when opening them. ) In conclusion, the best breakfast but for me I won’t be returning as I need ventilation or at least air conditioning in my room.

They're so friendly when serving you and so welcoming and accommodating to kids, which is important to us. The food alone is worth the journey. This year I completely messed up the date of our tickets and rang in advance and Marian sorted me out/the staff on the day, which I really appreciated. Had pasta dish. White wine and mushroom sauce! So hard to find the mushroom and they must have only used a drop of wine. I've had this dish in many places and this was the weakest. Not something they can control obviously but this was a poor start unfortunately. We ordered an assortment of their classic plates, most of which came out unusually quick. There was almost no other customers, probably less than 20 of us in the building, so there was no possible excuse for food being rushed and terribly executed. We had planned an extended evening of nice food and drinks but unfortunately market bar came crashing down on those plans. First time we waited a crazy amount of time for the waitress to clear our plates/check on our table. We felt very uncomfortable because we weren’t told and ended up being the only people where staff were looking at my friend eating waiting to leave & opening hours say open til 10pm online. Again our plates weren’t cleared & dessert was put away and no offers. Felt very awkward. Earlier today we went again & decided on more food so we got Starter, Main & planned on dessert. My friend was finished but I was still eating my starter when the waitress asked if we were ready for the main (clearly not? but I hadn’t much left so we said sure). The plates weren’t cleared from the table… and the mains came and the waitress had no room to put plates down. Also started stacking used plates on our table. Food was lovely but again our plates weren’t cleared and it wasn’t busy. 30 mins go by and I have to ask a waitress to clear the table and for dessert. Then when it came to the bill she tried to charge me for a dip I never received (also €2 for a dip is extortion when it should be complimentary with any meal including fries). Not to mention they got someone else’s bill wrong over a dip as well and the customer had to explain she shouldn’t have been charged… very poor service. And we always give multiple chances but staff need proper training. What is up with the doorbell every time the kitchen needs service also?! It’s an ear sore & more professional to have one staff member with a headpiece or a silent buzzer if it’s that difficult to check the kitchen regularly… It’s a shame because food is lovely & desserts are fab but missing out on sales not offering them.

Will change ratings after I come back for the food. We arrived around 12:45 PM on Saturday. We waited 20 minutes in line to finally order, just to be told that the kitchen has too many orders to prepare so they need to stop taking orders for 15 minutes (still okay for coffee and pastries). However last nights experience did not live up to previous occasions. This may have been a one off and time will tell. The food was not of the same standard and we later discovered there is a new chef, which explains the lowered standard of food. A new waitress was too full on and was a distraction from enjoying a quiet private romantic meal. We may return when the original chef returns and I am certain we will then again have the same fantastic food experience that we have been accustomed to.
