Both are great and we always enjoy going there. Couple of negatives on this one visit ( which haven’t happened before ) :- 1. Don’t accept cash anymore and although they tell you that before sitting down, it’s still a bad thing. 2. The salt lid fell off dropping a fair bit of salt into my food. They politely focussed on getting us a new salt container rather than the fact the food would now be overly salty. I love dim sum & asian cuisine , especially Chinese. The lady who served me was an absolute legend( owner). Happy and cheerful & a wonderful ball of energy. Her customer service is top tier, i was greeted with a hello & a smile, i asked for the veggie dumplings ( 10pcs) & a jasmine tea. The dumplings had chilli oil on( but if heat is not your thing, im sure you could give it a miss, i asked for a lil bit. Also you can takeout or sit in opposite. Awaiting my dumplings in chilli oil, i was asked fork or chopsticks, chopsticks for me, and my jasmine tea was given moments later. My dumplings arrived served by the lady herself, the presentation on that wee plate , honestly they are the tastiest veggie dumplings ive had. That chilli oil goes well , yes a slight kick and burn but not bad. It was a match made in dim sum heaven. The owner( husband) i think, asked if everything was ok. I said yes it great. To top it off, drinks orders were wrong, and the general tone of the afternoon was marred by the incident. And the facilities? Getting grim. The men’s bathroom was in a state – a broken tap, a toilet flush pulled off and an overall tired, rundown vibe. It was very cold as though they’re saving money by keeping the heating off. Not exactly what you’d expect from a place with a reputation to uphold. And to cap it off their food hygiene rating has dropped from 5* to 4*. I’ll give them this – they offered the birthday girl a glass of Prosecco on the house. A small gesture, but hardly enough to salvage the experience. We moved on to other places in Market Harbs and thankfully they rescued her birthday and it ended on a high. Once a firm 5* favourite, Nossa has seriously let its standards slide. A warm brasserie feel could be further enhanced with a review of soft furnishings and artwork . Tea smoked salmon was soft and melding and delicious served a selection of pickles and cooked and puréed beets . Pork fillet was tender pink and perfectly cooked and beautifully presented , sherry jus was light and flavourful and pulled the dish together. fondant potato was cooked to perfection butterie perfectly seasoned and melt in the mouth . This accomplished cooking of a high standard . Raspberry crème brûlée lacked a little sweetness and slightly over cooked on the edge of savoury custard that lacked the velvety cream texture one would desire. However tonight’s visit was the first time in a while (Jan 2024). We all enjoyed our meal, however we were disappointed with a few aspects, including the very small side dish of seasonal vegetables, not really enough for even one portion. Also the triple cooked chips that arrived with the steak were undercooked, I can’t imagine these had really been ‘triple cooked’ which was such a shame. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and a great asset to the restaurant. Overall it was a nice meal and I’m sure we will in time be visiting again in the future.

A beautiful setting for a quiet impromptu drink and meal. We were welcomed by the staff and seated quickly on the lovely outside area. Oh dear, how the standard of service has dropped. Did a walk in, restaurant busy so told we could eat in the bar, again bar was busy but not overrun, seating available for everyone. About half an hour in the bar emptied out, still no food, no real concern at this point, eventually after 40 minutes, I ask the guy who took our order, how much longer, he says he will chase this up. So in total I waited 70 minutes for 2 Sunday roasts, the food was decent if not pipping hot. The food is reasonably priced for what it is on a lunch deal but a lot of it is a very basic menu so don't expect really good quality italian restaurant because this is not it and i have eaten in a lot of italian restaurants this place is mostly some pasta, pizza and couple of chicken dishes. Pizzas are ok not typical Italian though, some of the pasta dishes are hit and miss. Had a chicken penne with masala sauce that was quite nice, the baked chicken pasta is ok too but their spaghetti Bolognese was awful it was watery with no flavour just very bland it tasted and looked like one of the very cheap end basic microwave meals you get and i cook spag bol a lot and my one is full of rich flavours but this was a huge let down. The restaurant itself could do with a make over it's worn and out dated. I still think it's ok for a quick lunch visit but just don't expect too much. Staff are pleasant though.

This was my go-to for curries in Harborough. However, the food hygiene rating has dropped to 3/5 which is worrying. I cannot find another place in Harborough with a hygiene rating this low. We had Camembert for starter which was also absolutely fantastic and something we always enjoy followed by the aforementioned Sunday roast with a side of the cheesy mushrooms from the starter menu which were also gorgeous as always. All in all the Roebuck is a lovely pub with great staff and delicious food that we always enjoy visiting and I would highly recommend it to anyone. We ordered two roast dinners — one pork, one beef. The pork came with three slices of meat, but most of it was covered with a thick layer (about 1.5cm) of fat halfway round each slice, plus crackling. I’ve never left a negative review before but wanted to share my experience as it’s an expensive place to eat which should be a treat. Over £100 for 4 people for just main and desert excluding drinks. We had signature dishes - pizza was boring and pretty average. The carbonara was so salty and dry compared to other restaurants - claggy and nearly inedible. The olives to start with were shrivelled up really cold and small. Salad was basic, badly chopped and had chunks of dirty lettuce in and was a small bowl for £7! The mocktails cost nearly £10 each which for an alcohol free drink is loads. We got them as a special treat for daughters birthday and were all disappointed with them. The virgin mojito had just a couple of sprinkles of super finely chopped fresh mint in it- worst mocktail I’ve had and the most expensive. I did ask for more mint to be added and just got a few extra sprinkles which makes me think that whoever made it didn’t actually know and hadn’t been trained in how to make drinks. I’ve heard a few rocky reviews about this place beforehand but we went as daughter wanted to go for her birthday as it’s really visually appealing- great for Insta! I don’t think I would have written a negative review if I hadn’t heard about other people’s experiences. Hopefully the restaurant will invest in some help to sort out quality of food. The aircon was also broken and it smelled badly of drains outside. I know it’s early days but with nearly all of the food and drink being really disappointing I had to write a review because it was an expensive night out for 4 people and 3 of us felt unwell after eating. It might be a good idea for the management to look at the mocktails sold at Club Soda in London for inspiration as they are around the same price and significantly better. Also consider rethinking the menu to make less choice available so chefs can concentrate on better quality dishes? I’ve never left a negative review before and make a point of leaving positive reviews normally because it’s great to celebrate local successes. The manager was kind when we discussed issues and gave us a £50 voucher to try the food again. I’m not sure I’d go back even with the voucher.
