We were going to eat at a Nando's or something similar but then we had an urge for Italian food. Found this 10 mins away from our accommodation. Upon arrival, greeted kindly and very quickly seated. Environment is loud as it is a small echoey building with many tables, which is expected. Ordered drinks, ordered food, all came in very good timing and exceptionally well presented. Food was absolutely amazing, incredible portion sizes and quality of food. If you're in the area I highly advise that you come here for a meal, it is truly amazing. Value is also great! When the bill came, 3x drinks, 2x starters, 2x mains, 2x deserts all came to just £70. Trust me as a Londoner, if you were to have the equivalent, you're looking at £200+! Please do show this business some love and also come for the incredible food!

The welcome and service was fantastic and despite being short staffed due to illness and 8 of us in our party we were looked after really well. The menu is great, so was the beer and they are very dog friendly. Lots of pay and display parking, but we parked at the sea and walked into Sandwich, which is about a 4 mile round trip crossing the golf course (but there is a £10 per car toll).

Tasty ingredients, quality homemade food and a chilled out vibe to the whole place. We stumbled upon the bistro really close to the Guildhall car park. It was perfect on a chilled out day celebrating someone's birthday. The historic building is nicely decorated, with the old windows bringing gorgeous light and breeze into the place. The seated area is on the first floor, although the deli counter downstairs would have some takeaway lunch options too. The food was all very yummy and there were lots of options. Luckily, our vegetarian and our gluten intolerant eaters even had lots to choose from for both savoury and desert courses. The server and owner were both friendly and went out of their way to be helpful without being imposing at all. Like, taking notice and providing dessert menus before we needed to ask and also finding the last of some homemade custard too. 10/10 would recommend. We would all happily come back here. Thank you!

The first time was a month or so ago, the place was empty but people were still popping in to collect or make takeaway orders - this didn't impact us however, with food arriving very quickly. The staff are so lovely, very accommodating, and have managed to create a wonderfully relaxed dining experience with an exceptional menu. So far we've tried the milkshakes, a chicken burger, a smash burger, and several veggie options, as well as various sides and everything has been exemplary. Portions are generous and you absolutely get your money's worth, and everything is served with a smile. I couldn’t see the appeal myself. First off it was very busy with people who don’t normally mix with commoners so we only just got a table inside and the booth seating wasn’t that comfortable. The location is great, right by the river. The furnishings are also very pleasant. When we turned up on a Friday evening without a reservation we were seated straight away and it was all going very well. Then the food arrived. Because stuff happens and the front of house really did make an effort to put it right. There was also a minor issue with coffee which again was put right straight away. I hope the kitchen malfunction was a one-off. Excellent front of house don't deserve to be let down like that, and I would go back.

From the minute we stepped inside we were treated with a warm and very friendly welcome. On a recent visit, 21/09/24- I found the atmosphere cosy, though somewhat uncomfortable due to the intense air conditioning, which not only made the space cold but also cooled down our food rather quickly. But on the whole, it was below par. Coffee was mediocre. They apologised a number of times and explained they were overrun that day. But the place was only half full, so I would say this is a staffing issue, and they might be better getting another pair of hands in the kitchen to make sure they're putting out breakfasts that are of a decent quality. The younger of the two servers that day was friendly and nice though. On the whole it falls below what I would want and can get elsewhere and nearby for the money (the haven down the road is excellent). Otherwise this is a nice location, with a pretty terrace and it's a nice building, so I hope they do a little better with the food quality in future. But the experience I had this week left little to recommend returning, sadly.

Plenty of places to sit and some shelter especially in the hot weather if you have younger children. Great location and plenty of parking. Clean and ample facilities ie. There is also a fully fenced dog park which I used. The menu appeared over priced especially the breakfasts. The service was OK but it should be table service as the small counter was full of people queuing and it was a bit chaotic near our table. Service was OK. I had a vegetarian breakfast which was £9.98 it had a tablespoon of beans, one small grilled tomato and ONE sausage (see pic) I swapped my egg for an extra hash brown so i had 2. In my opinion it was overpriced for the small portion that was on the plate. Might go back and try the homemade lunches on the menu. Everything is overpriced these days but that breakfast was not worth a tenner.

Clearly he wasn’t three minutes away from my house! I tried calling the shop while having this interaction with the staff and I could see the phone ringer had been turned off, the staff looked at the phone (obviously the light on the phone was flashing) and realising they had been caught out then decided to start complaining to me about how they paid £30 odd pound for a service that they were not getting (laughable) I pointed out to the lady that she was obviously aware of the “imaginary problem” and that it wasn’t my problem and she should deal with it and that I wasn’t interested in hearing her excuses as other reviews had been posted with the phones being ignored. She did not like this and got quite irate. I pointed out she had all my contact details, email and telephone number and that she had no excuse for not keeping me updated, as by this point they were well aware that my order had been placed over two hours before, and that had they provided any customer service this situation wouldn’t have happened. Woman’s still trying to rattle on and trying to get me to emphasise with her over her “telephone problem” to which by that point I had enough and told her I wasn’t interested, I just wanted my food. Honesty the whole situation was a debacle. Terrible customer service and the staff’s fabrication of events to avoid taking responsibility was embarrassing. The food was great once we actually got it but I will not be ordering from them again.
