We were a party of 5 adults and 2 children, it was very busy but there were 2 tables available. We ordered food which arrived in a reasonable time. It was good quality and hot. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, and make it a great evening. I was expecting more of a “show kitchen”, but it is basically like looking at a takeaway kitchen. The burgers are very good, my only real complaint being that they use smoked bacon, so they serve it rare to avoid excessive saltiness, although if you ask they will give it an extra cooking for you, at which point it's pretty much like eating extremely salty food with little else in the way of flavour. Their cheese and bacon loaded fries are pretty good, but again suffer some quality issues, occasionally being a bit raw. All in all, I put my complaints mostly down to a mix of the business at this address being relatively new. The service is excellent. The price is relatively high at well over £10 per adult pizza, but it's justified when they get everything spot on, and I wouldn't call it unreasonable even if they make a bit of a mess of things - you can't really get food like this in the area, if at all.

Very nicely decorated inside, I liked the wooden theme, and that you could see the cooking of the pizzas in a proper pizza oven. They did some things really well and some things not so well (hence their 3 star score). As for the appetizers, the good was the onion bhai and chicken tikka pieces. The okay was seekh kebabs which could have used some more flavoring. The bad was the lamb samosa. Literally had NO flavor to it. The main course consisted of chicken vindaloo, chicken jalfrezi, lamb korma and chicken tikka masala. I thought the chicken jalfrezi was amazing. We liked it so much we ordered it twice. The korma and the chicken tikka masala was too sweet and not edible. We ended up eating the meat from their but the sauce was not good. The chicken vindaloo was okay, flavorful but nothing special. The best part of all the food was the naan. It was definitely one of the best naans I've ever had. If we are in the area, it's one of those places I'll come back to, to eat the few things we enjoyed.

We picked the venue for the warm loving feel, the brilliant staff and location and the food of course! Just everyone, with a smile on their face and polite manner the whole time. The food, was one of the main reasons why we chose the venue, we wanted to make sure that we had a good hearty 3 course meal that was luxurious and delicious as well as filling people up. We had the tomato soup to start and everyone said “that’s not just tomato soup that’s amazing!” Then the Lamb shoulder roast and when I say every single plate was cleared… EVERY SINGLE PLATE WAS CLEARED. This was also true with the veggie option which was the Parmesan and mushroom tagliatelle! The for dessert we had the best sticky toffee pudding we have ever had and from then on and across the whole night, the food was one of our biggest compliments we got from the day, we had a multi gold medal Team GB rower in our wedding party so if we could keep him full from the day and evening food we knew it was a hit haha. Then the evening reception too (of course) went without a single hitch. The staff did amazing to keep the drinks flowing, the rooms tidy and the guests well fed! With a mixture of sofas, armchairs and chairs and tables there was a place for everyone to relax, as well as the outside being covered and the heaters on so guests were also happy to stay outside… in October/November! The evening food was the hot Buffett and again no complaints and clear plates! Honestly I could write a 10,000 word dissertation on why The Old Bridge made our wedding day so perfect! It was lovely to receive such a warm welcome after arriving much later than I expected. The breakfast hamper and espresso machine made me feel spoilt, plus the size of the bathroom and room. The personal entrance, seperate from the bar made the experience even better and I felt safe. Breakfast on the Saturday morning, tasty and I enjoyed the quiet and not being rushed. I hope to be able to stay again and recommend The Elm as a place to stay and in such a beautiful village.

My friend and I stopped to give their breakfast a try. Whilst we are regulars to the pub, this was our first experience of their English breakfast. We were both shocked and extremely disappointed in both the service and the quality / qty of the items offered as a full English Breakfast costing nearly £15. One sausage, half a tomato, five button mushrooms. Small black pudding and it must have been a Bantam egg. Baked Beans in the smallest pot you could imagine. No bread, no toast. Only the sausage was hot. Coffee on top took our bill to 37.80 for two English breakfasts with drinks !!!! Incomprehensibly priced. The whole experience was topped off with a member of staff Ironing what I can only guess was tableware linen. Being a YouTuber I’ve filmed the whole sad experience. I robustly declined the 10% service charge that’s automatically added to my bill. Others at the bar that morning were also declining the addition of their service charge on their invoice of over £527 !! Goodness knows where they’re doing their market research but they need to take their heads out of cloud cuckoo land and realise that whilst most of us that visit their pub can fortunately afford such invoices, we still expect value for money. Needless to say my video will be fair and balanced. Indeed I don’t use actors or film sets. Of course I can only represent what was served, my invoice and a balanced review of a very disappointing experience.

To see it full for lunch (every table occupied), is very encouraging. My sister-in-law had booked it as a "dog-friendly" pub//restaurant to meet up with the us and the girl's best friend form deepest, darkest Corringham ! The selection of the food on the menu was great. I had the "chef's choice pie", steak and Guinness. As a pie lover, it was right up my street, with proper chips. One of our party had the seafood linguine; it looked lovely. I want to go back just for this ! The banana split was almost to the standard of the one I recently had in Rome, but needed ice-cream with it. Service was good, considering how busy it was. Prices were very fair. Full marks to the chef and his helpers/staff. They do need to get themselves an electric "fly zapper for the bar area " as the flies were really annoying when you try and eat. Only slight down-side, you have to park on the road. as there is no car park.

A good few hours can be lost with the children at this amazing zoo Sunday carvery (in the steak house) was beautifully cook with the meats almost melting in the mouth. Roast potatoes and veggies for a reasonable priced at £22. And meals all week for thoses who wish to eat a full meal. Along side is the cafe area as well for snacks and sandwiches and coffees etc. With the on site farm shop selling anything from Meats, Dairy products, Biscuits. Cakes. Alcohol and mixers, Load of kids toys and Cuddly Animals. There a few coffee bars/refreshments around the site with seating to take break. At least 3 slides we saw. With swings and seesaw for the kids play area.

Really super friendly welcome on arrival which was lovely. Ate in the dining room section which is very rustic and has plenty of room in between diners’ tables. Noticed the pub had a great atmosphere too! Super meal - charcuterie boards to share and then had fish n chips and tonic’s opted for the sticky Korean chicken burger which was absolutely delicious. Thank you to the lovely lady who was waiting on us and the rest of the tables.The dessert menu looked delicious but we didn’t have room to eat puds this time.Spotted the pretty lit up pub garden at the back. It is on our list now for future visits!

Food is absolutely delicious, fresh and served in good time. A good varied menu with something for everyone. Serving of some dishes on the hot stones is fab. The only complaint I have is that they charge £9.99 for a child's dinner which I think is rather pricey for an 18 month old. We had arrived at the marina caravan park in our motorhome after a long journey and were very hungry. I had the blade of beef with was beautifully prepared and just flaked apart. My friend had mushroom risotto...very nice portion. And dessert included sticky toffee pudding and brownie. The waitress did immediately ask if we'd like more, which we accepted and she did bring it relatively quickly. The food was lukewarm, beef was very tough and overdone, the potatoes cold. We asked for more gravy and got a small jug with a teaspoons worth in. The Yorkshire puddings were burnt and crisped to a hollow. At the end we asked for the bill, it took the waitress 17 minutes to deliver it and we had to ask twice. We felt isolated and ignored upstairs, no serving staff and no communication. Had they just spoken to us, offered us drinks or served us attentively, we might not have felt so slighted. We ended up with only one drink each and no opportunity to order more. They could have easily made another £20+ out of us on drinks if only they'd served us properly.

The team here treat you like family rather then just guests and they have created a a really great vibe. With Richard the dog being the star of the show. The food on site is amazing and the pub is warm and cozy, there is a swimming pool, a hot tub, chickens, pigs and goats. Our room was large with two double beds which were nice a comfy. I honestly can’t fault a single part of the experience in-fact if my partner didn’t rein me in on my impulses I would have ended up booking another night there and then I was truly gutted to leave the next morning! The staff could genuinely not of done anymore for us and I felt spoilt rotten. Cj (I hope that’s his name) was the most wholesome staff and made us feel comfortable after 5 minutes of being there especially as I somehow managed to wonder into the kitchen!!! Don’t ask I don’t know how I got there either but he instantly dropped everything to make us feel at home and went to every extra mile he could take!!
