I am not a huge Italian cuisine fan but this was superior to any other of my Italian experiences (close to what I actually had in Italy). To start, we ordered the spicy cucumber crudo, the Caesar salad, and the roasted eggplant. I can’t pick a favorite. They were all worth fighting over the last bite for. The cucumbers did have a kick to them. The eggplant was flavorful and perfectly cooked. And the Caesar salad was not only a huge portion, but the best one I have ever had. Our group decided to get two pizzas to share as our entrees. Their fermented crust was mind blowing. We got the avocado and Nardello pizzas. Nardello came out first and it was the perfect amount of heat. Then the avocado came out. At first we all said we were enjoying the Nardello (sausage) one better but then the avocado one grew on us. The flavor combination and smoothness of the avocado made it something to be devoured. We specifically made our reservation during happy hour but when we arrived we were told that they just changed the hours for it a few days before, so we missed it. That was a huge disappointment, there were multiple items that i wanted to try on that menu and our bill ended up way higher than it would’ve been. Everything sounded so delicious but sadly most of it ended up pretty underwhelming. The uni toast should have had more uni for how thick the bread was, the charred cabbage was forgettable, and the toro roll was nothing to write home about. My favorite items ended up being the pork katsu sando, the caviar spread, and the strawberry chouquette dessert. Honestly most items were way overpriced, i’m fine with paying more for great food but this just wasn’t worth it. If i came back i would definitely stick to just their caviar spread and a few drinks. I think happy hour would’ve been better for our group so it’s too bad they changed the hours.

My sandwich was good, our friends enjoyed their food (corn bread looking dish and the grits). My wife being allergic to Gluten and Dairy does make going to places sometimes hard. This being one of those places. Trying to explain to the waitress what Gluten was just wasn't worth our time after multiple attempts. We were able to order certain sides for her. Other than the poached eggs being more soft boiled, she was happy. We were told one of the main reasons to come here was the Beignets. We ordered two orders between the three that could eat them. As you can see from the pictures they were raw on the inside. We brought this up to waitress who said she would take these and get new ones. We were all done eating by the time the "new" ones came out- (they state takes 15minutes to prepare). We cut into the first two and they were literally just as raw, liquid dough as the first. Being that I've had many beignets, we ended up just asking for them to be taken off and they did.

The interiors are much like a minaturized version of indoor farmers market one sees in other larger cities which has an outdoor area as well. Outside, is their beautiful Italian style courtyard which one supposes is used for events.

It is slightly expensive, but if you are in Napa you should be expecting that and trying to eat well. The food is fantastic and shows a significant attention to detail. Kids meals are variants of the normal item, such as removing the whole leaf basil from a margherita pizza. There's a lot of good flavors that flow right together. Other well-known establishments were premium in price, but not in quality. This place delivered. We went here for my wife's birthday. At the servers recommendation our table of 6 split a MASSIVE tomohawk. Aged for 90 days, cooked perfectly and well presented. The tomohawk did not disappoint. With numerous sides, lots of corkage, and other impaired decisions dinner was about $100 pp which is about typical for other places like this. For this locale and quality I felt this was excellent. Unfortunately the service needs a lot to work. Arrived at 6:24pm for a 6:30 reservation. Was told by the hostess that I was early and needed to wait in the lounge so I could “ be seated closer to my reservation time.... “ So we waited in the lounge until they were ready to seat us. To start we ordered the radishes, “artisanal“ bread and crab cakes. They never served us the crab cakes, not sure why. Radishes were awesome. Half way through the appetizers the servers took our appetizers and plates away as we were still enjoying everything, not asking if we were done, just randomly taking everything away very quickly. They provided us with large hot dinner plates immediately seeming as if our entrees were coming right out. However it was a good 20 min until our entrees arrived. Not sure what the rush was to remove our apps so quickly. For dinner we all shared the short ribs, rib eye, escarole and fries. The steak knives they provided could barely cut the rib eye. The rib eye was very good, but the knives were extremely dull and provided a poor experience at a steak house. There was never any feedback from staff during our meal. The food was good but not exceptional. I’m sure the experience would be better if the service was better. Was overly disappointed in the hostess telling us we had to wait to be seated closer to our reservation time when our table was set and ready.
