By far, the best meat we had was the Pulled Pork. It didn't have a lot of smoke flavor, but the fat and collagen were melted and the meat was tender and moist. From the moment you walked in the door you knew it was going to be something special. It's like a old rustic gift shop that has breakfast. Pretty much everything on the walls is for sale. I emailed them after my stay so they could see pictures and for obvious documentations. They did give me a refund of $113.50 (total for two nights was $603.82), admitted a room change should have been offered and the room should have never been rented out in that condition. While I understand a refund was at least given, one so small is a slap in the face. I did respond and let them know that the amount was unacceptable in a room that shouldn't have been occupied to begin with and was told "the leak began after housekeeping had completed their work and prior to our arrival". Read the reviews carefully, if they are willing to rent out a room that smells like mold imagine how cleanly everything else is.

We had a beer while we waited for food and the keg popped (no big deal) so instead of changing it and pouring full beer we got a 1/2 beer full price and then she disappeared for 15 mins so we couldn't get another. Honestly was not even worth arguing about since she did not seem to care about customers just the regulars that she talked with the whole time. There are a lot of options in Door County to eat and if they don't provide good service easy to go somewhere else.

We got a table after 30 mins but it took another hour for us to get our food with no updates while we waited. We watched as others were being served right and left and we waited forever. First thing, the owner of the restaurant was so kind and humble. We even got complimentary cheese curds at the end. He gave our dog a bowl for food and guided us about the local trails and attractions we could try. We couldn’t be more thankful and grateful for going above and beyond given we didn’t know the places around so much. Second, the service was at par than anywhere else. The chef/waitress was so kind even though she was shorthanded and almost end of the day, she listened to our questions and requests. We sat near the fire and sand pit for the kids to play. It ended up being a little chilly so the fire was perfect and the sand was a great kid friendly activity.
