The steaks were delicious, the loaded baked potato was good, the mashed potatoes were not so great - tasted like they were straight from a box, no seasoning really. The italian dressing was naked, didn't dress for the occasion at all. The bread was ok, but a little dry and hard, the cheese sticks were GREAT! Sweet tea wasn't so sweet, which is expected. The service was great though, our waiter was nice and stayed on top of us the entire time to make sure we were ok. We were seated quickly despite it saying online that reservations are recommended. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was relaxing. We would definitely go here again, but we would choose a few different things off the menu.

This used to be a place I was proud of as a local, but that has changed. A go to place from 2015 to about 2020 or so. Last night had a reservation for 7:45 and got seated at 8:15. The fries are mediocre like grocery store crinkle cuts. My wife's land and sea combo was overcooked grocery store chicken strips the popcorn shrimp was decent and the hush puppies love to be handmade but two of them were still gooey in the middle. I would go back for the burger but not what she had it's a little disappointing for the $70 it cost us. On the upside they do serve blue plate mayo at the tables and it's a first time we've got to try it and it's actually really good reminds me of two others that I have tried mixed together.

I would give this place another chance once they're running at full steam again. We love Waynesville and we're there all the time and we keep trying to make sure local business gets all of our $. We gave Bogarts a couple attempts, and honestly it just fell short both times. We've done the ribeye, filet, smothered chicken and a couple salads for the adults. The steaks were properly cooked, but the seasoning on them just didn't hit and both times I felt like the meat quality wasn't quite up to the standards it should have been for price. The sides and other meals felt like they were afterthoughts. Desserts looked great but when we tried them the cheesecake was chewy and my kids said the peanut butter landslide wasn't good and they'll eat anything made of sugar. Oddly the bar is just beer and house wines. I personally like an old fashioned when I'm eating a steak, but I won't turn my nose up to a nice beer. Limited menu, pretty much has staple dinner food. I had a salad (store quality spring mix), steamed vegetables (again store packaged quality), 8oz ribeye was cooked correctly at med rare, but wasn’t prepared with any type of seasoning (not even salt & pepper). The experience in a whole was okay and nothing to write home about. I could have easily cooked the exact same meal at home. My friend looked up for a great chicken sandwich and this place was it. It was very fancy restaurant with pretty Christmas decoration. We found this place on Google maps and were surprised we had never discovered it before. For my budget the ticket was a little high for two burgers and coffee, but they get an A for effort, good service and a relaxing, classy atmosphere as you might expect in a country club golf course. Our meals came out quickly and were absolutely delicious plus the portion sizes were enormous! This is the first time in years we’ve had to ask for boxes to bring home leftovers (I am already looking forward to them) - and the price was just right! We are only in Maggie Valley for a few days, but are going to definitely squeeze another trip to Catrina’s before we leave.

I really didn’t think it was going to be all it turned out to be, but WOW was I wrong.
