The staff was extremely friendly and service was great. Atmosphere had a quaint country vibe to it. I had the fried shrimp (the shrimp was large) with seasoned rice, a salad, and baked potato. The only feedback I have to add is that the croutons need cut in half - however they are 100% in house made, you can tell and they are delicious. My husband got the fried catfish which he said was good, it tasted clean the breading was good and it was fried well! He said the French fries weren’t really good but the coleslaw was fantastic!!! The server forgot to add drinks, we found that out after we were discussing the tip after seeing how everything was more then the menu pricing. The drink thing came up because she was eavesdropping on our conversation from around the corner. Then when she went to put it on the card we heard her complaining and yelling that she had it with people. I have been a server for 10 years...I know how it works and you don't eavesdrop from around a corner on their conversation, and you don't blame someone else for ringing it up like that when they can see you do it. I or anyone else I know will never go here again. This place for me is one and done. If it weren't for that, the food is good the hounding for a good tip not so much. Also for what we paid here we could have went to a buffet and it would have been cheaper for all 5 of us to eat there.

We started with the pepper jack cheese bites with ranch and they were tasty, and then I got the Santa Fe chicken sandwich (added mayo) and it was pretty good, if a little bit dry. My boyfriend got the barbecue and enjoyed it, but wasn’t a big fan of the onion rings. He did however thoroughly enjoy the broccoli and cheese soup, and said it was delicious. Our service was great and our waitress was super sweet and very attentive, keeping our drinks refilled and checking in regularly (but not too much, as some restaurants do). I got the unlimited catfish that came with fries, hush puppies and coleslaw. The fries were alright, but I’m not a big fan of any steak fries. The coleslaw was fantastic! Mayo based and a little soupy, but the flavor and texture we great. The catfish was some of the cleanest tasting catfish I’ve ever had and it was smaller pieces that were very manageable. The hush puppies had good flavor. We started with fried pickles and they were great as well! Our server was amazing. She was on top of everything and made sure we were all cared for!

It was $110 dollars for our very small portioned meals (see pics) that was terrible quality. No wonder it has a poor rating. It’s in a beautiful location. Too bad they can’t get the food and service on point. Very disappointing! Also the prices on our bill were $3+ more than on the menu. I feel bad that the hostess is turning people away when the staff were standing around bored. I don’t see how this place survives.

My husband wanted a table so we had to get the guy and he brought us to a table. After waiting 3 minutes someone came to take our drink order. They left and never came back. Another waitress came by and took our food order and we said we had ordered drinks but the person just disappeared. She left and brought out drinks to us. She later brought our food. I ordered the chicken fajitas. The chicken didn't look cook and it felt like rubber. I sent it back (a first) because I didn't want to take a chance on Salmonella poisoning and/or dying. The chicken still looked dubious so I only ate the smaller pieces as they were cooked. The salsa was ok but weak (watered down for Gringos). The cheese dip (which was the only food that was good) was good as well as the rice and the salsa was fresh. The sweet tea with lemon was passable. The women restroom was awful. One stall had no lights (of rather it had the bare minimum and it was dark) and the other stall the door would not lock. The counter with one sink was broken off. And the bottom wall next to the door was broken. Because of both stalls being defective I couldn't go and went to Walmart instead. I was not left with a good impression coming here and will not come back here. I have been to other Mexican restaurants and had much better food. Taco Madres in Knoxville comes to mind.
