We happened to come to visit our friends in town, and this is where our friends took us to. We heard burgers are very good here. Instead of trying their burgers since I had burger and fries on the previous day, I opted for a meatloaf entree with baked potato as the side. I was not disappointed. My meatloaf itself was quite decent (alas not the best I had in terms of flavoring), and it came with a very generous serving of steamed broccoli that was very tasty. Around our table, Cowboy Burger looked delicious and tasted very good per my friend. Mediterranean Salad had a split vote, the down side was unusually hard broccoli. Perhaps it needed to be blanched before serving. Another one was the lack of feta cheese as a substitute for blue cheese (since we were informed they had all kinds of cheeses initially). The spinach was nice and fresh, but tomatoes and nuts were proportionately small. Our server was very pleasant, attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was very good in this place. The service was great the atmosphere is great the booths are in great condition and very comfortable. The restaurant is very very clean as well as the bathrooms. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely come back!

The food tastes amazing. I’ve had multiple bad experiences and will not be back. The first was when I placed an order for pickup that was ready 1 hour before they closed. I kept knocking, and people were looking at me and NOBODY was letting me in. Keep in mind I’m maintaining eye contact with these employees. It’s not like they didn’t notice me. They clearly had a lack of respect for him and they all shrugged him off. He wasn’t very assertive. Then I stood at the counter waiting to pick up my food for another 5 minutes. Nobody said anything to me, at all, until a bigger guy with some stubble and a shaved head came up to me and said “Sorry we’re closed” and then started walking off as I told him I was picking up an order. He was super grumpy and didn’t say much as I checked out. Whatever, at that point I just wanted my food and to leave! The second instance was about 5 months after, my first time back since then. I placed a pickup order, went inside, and the same rude guy from last time was standing at the counter. Without saying a word, he looked at me, and raised his eyebrows. We asked for ranch dressing and another coke and we weren’t charged for either! The pizza was plenty filling and we had 3-1/2 slices left over. Management staff, unfortunately appeared to have an attitude…and seemed “bothered” rather than gracious for their location, being chosen for this glorious day. We have been going to New China King for the better part of 7 years, through college and into adulthood. My husband doesn’t know the difference so it’s not like he can tell when he picks my order up regardless of that it should be the correct order he shouldn’t have to worry and it’s pointless to drive back because we live a good 15 minutes away!

He's very allergic to shellfish (and I won't eat it around him or in our apartment just to be safe) and doesn't eat pork, and I'm mildly allergic to soy. The thing that I've definitely gotten here the most often is the drinks. Their boba, teas, and slushes are phenomenal. This location has a melon slush that the others don't, and my husband adores it. My favorite so far is the blueberry lemonade green tea, although I'm planning on trying the black sugar milk tea soon. I may be only slightly biased when it comes to service because I'm friendly acquaintances with one or two of the people who work here, but I've always been treated with kindness. People here have gone above and beyond to make sure my time here is enjoyable, and I've even had some nice conversations with the owner once or twice, and he's a very kind person. All in all, this place is very underrated and deserves more business than it gets. Even if you're just in the mood for a nice drink, you should stop by!
