Lots of parking for golf carts. Only a few tables inside so make a reservation if you want to eat inside. Patio seating available or take-out. We went for lunch in the off season. Likely much busier during the tourist season. Brisket on a bun was fantastic. Perfectly cooked, falls apart when biting through. The original classic sauce was to my taste. Not overly hot or spicy. Pork on a bun was also the same. Perfectly cooked excellent with added BBQ sauce. Buns were ok but did tend to fall apart towards the last bites. Mac & cheese was super cheesy. Noodles cooked well. The potato salad was very creamy but not a lot of zip to it. The servers were friendly. The bar has a lot of choices of cocktails and hard liquor. Outside seating was comfortable enough.

We only did take out because we wanted to explore the island. The next day we came back for lunch. This is a great little place on the island. There's pool tables and outdoor type games. There is tons of seating and lots of different options. You can sit at a table or on the couch, you can go outside. The food itself was phenomenal. I'm originally from Pennsylvania and I got a Philly cheese steak that was actually a Philly cheese steak. I mean it is the closest I've had since growing up. I'm a restaurant manager in Savannah, and I know it can be annoying to take last-minute orders, but you all really made our night. We are probably going to eat tacos every anniversary henceforth. What heard great things for a while now, and decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary there. It was fabulous! Let’s start with the decor: Light, bright, coastal Italian - not dark and stuffy at all. Inside dining was beautiful as was the covered patio seating and the bar area. The service was exceptional from start to finish with Remi. He was knowledgeable about the menu and gracious with attention to detail. We are early eaters generally, so it was a nice surprise that they offered an Early Dining Menu from 4pm -5:15pm. For a 3-course meal including soup/salad, entree and dessert, it was $38.50 and the choices were phenomenal. Add a glass of wine for $9, which was house Italian and excellent. I got the Arugula salad with shaved parmesan and lemon vinaigrette (amazing), the pesto crusted Norwegian Salmon with a side of pasta/olive oil/herbs (amazing) and eggless panna cotta with fruit, silky and flavorful (amazing). Started with the house Chardonnay and ended with Limoncello. HEAVEN! Hubby had the house special - mamas meatballs and spaghetti, and I was jealous. Perfectly cooked with moist meatballs, house-made pasta and the perfect balance of tangy and rich tomato sauce. There were many tables already taken at the 4pm opening, so make reservations. The diners included multi-generational families and couples like us. We will DEFINITELY be back for the special meals and the happy hour options in the bar. We loved the whole experience.

We accidentally stumbled onto this place and it was a great thing...we were getting so hungry. The line was out the door but moved quick. You walk in and order and walk out the other side. Each and every person we met was kinder and more welcoming than the last, with that theme echoing through the bar and dining room as waiters met their regulars. We took advantage of the bar specials ordering five plates along with three drinks. The plates are small. It's really small. Even for happy hour...small. Not only small, they all lack some luster. We came during the fundraiser and it was extremely busy. Order at the counter. Got lucky to snag a table inside but waited 65 minutes for our order. Food is served in baskets. Biscuits and gravy was delish but a bit hard to eat with plastic cutlery. Good sized order. Sausage and egg on Texas toast was decent. The plain Belgian waffle was ok but you'll need extra syrup. Trying to cut with plastic cutlery was nearly impossible. The side of bacon could have been cooked a wee bit longer. It was crazy busy and many people left waiting in line. Ate some pick and peel shrimp, some coconut shrimp and some fries and three alcoholic drinks (a beer and two Miami Vices) and dropped around $100. Not a great value obviously. We stopped in at the mercantile and asked Beth about things to do here on the Island. She got a gleam in her eye and explained like we had won the lottery that “Fryes chicken is open today “. Well we headed out and found this little chicken shack and what a dining experience it is!! Three chicken strips would feed a large family. Biggest I’ve ever seen. The fried are hand cut and fried to perfection. However that were running low on fries so they offered half and half with onion rings. I’ve pretty much quit buying onion rings as they are usually right out of the freezer bag. But these were AWESOME! If we ever get back to Dafuskie this place will be top of the list of places to visit. The couple that own/run the place are super nice as well. Do yourself a favor and stop by if you can.
