We booked directly from their website and received a 5% discount. The hotel is pet friendly. We stayed in suite 2 which is above the restaurant. This hotel is not handicap accessible due to very steep staircase. There's free parking in the back of the restaurant. The suite is very spacious. There is a full kitchen with range, microwave and refrigerator. There are pots, pans, plates, mugs and cutlery if you plan to cook. The drip coffee maker was broken and unfortunately we found out the hard way when the coffee was not dripping into the coffee carafe. We also encountered an issue with the wall outlet in the kitchen. We could not reset the fuse. There are 2 tvs one 50 inch in the main room and a small 32 inch in the separate bedroom. There's a pull out sofabed for additional sleeping space. The decor in the room is more rustic and farmhouse feel. There's portable air conditioner that keeps the suite cool. We tried the restaurant downstairs. The fish n chips were inconsistent. Some of my guests said the fish was not fried properly. I didn't notice any issue with mine. They use basa instead of haddock or halibut. The calamari was ok. The crab rangoon was good. My nephew ordered the steak special of the day. He cleaned the plate so I guess it was good. The Mongolian beef bowl was better than expected for a pub restaurant. Overall, our stay was comfortable and we liked the location right by the canal and beautiful views of cruise ships crossing the canal. It was a Thursday around 7:30pm and the place was nearly empty. Our waitress was obviously new, but tried hard and was very sweet. We were told immediately that all pizza and pasta were not available (we had planned to try the pizza, wings and broasted chicken, so disappointing) We ordered garlic bread with cheese as an app, which was a small serving but exceptionally delicious and served quickly. We asked for the regular wings, broasted wings, and broasted chicken to be well done (we hate rubbery chicken). We waited an extremely long time for all the chicken, but man was it worth the wait!!! The broasted chicken was especially great. The broasted Cajun wings were good but not great. The cocktails were all a bit disappointing, kinda flat. Location is perfect, very close to all to see and do in Port Colborne.

We started with a bruschetta bread appetizer. Somehow, the toast was soggy yet the feta was burnt. Then, we had a broasted chicken meal, a chicken souvlaki dinner, and a hot turkey sandwich. The broasted chicken and hot turkey both came with brown gravy, which was an odd flavour combination. The turkey itself and the broasted chicken were both juicy and well cooked though. Met friends for a show at the Lighthouse theater and were excited that they had made reservations there. Parking was easy and the restaurant was neat, tidy and atmosphere welcoming. As mentioned we had reservations and were sat quickly. The lamb shank special was small and dryish on the outside, the 3 orders of broasted chicken were also dry and my wifes veal parm was a mystery! Texture and flavor was more like tenderized beef than veal and the tomato sauce did nothing to help. We should have complained, especially our friend who ordered all white meat for her chicken (and paid extra) then got 2 pieces of dark instead, but after they dropped the food we didn't see the waitress again until I chased her down to pay. The place was actually bigger than it looks when you first walk in. It was a popular place and there was a bit of a lineup, but it moved quickly. This was a horrible experience last night… where to start. First off waiting 45 mins for 2 subs is insane. People infront of us ordered 2 and we ordered 2 and this whole process took 45 mins for FOUR subs. Also note: we both woke up with extreme tummy issues from this. Edit to response: Only one bread was changed not both for the subs after the gloves. The guests infront of us if they’re intoxicated to the point every other guest suffers perhaps new protocols for serving those guests should be in place. As for the tomato’s if you have audio you notice I have to ask multiple times as well as all the other toppings I noticed but I suppose since you did not comment on that you knew I was right for those.

Everything they make is incredible.
