We went on August 6 and there was a big line out the door which made me even more excited! The wait to order was about 20 minutes but the staff were so incredibly friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Mr Fernie, my husband had the Griz, and our daughter had a plain bagel with cream cheese! We were lucky to find a table which was such a treat after waiting in line! The bagels were fresh and the everything bagel was piled high with poppy seeds which was kind of fun to see, but both my husband and I felt like our choices were a little lacking in flavor! The experience itself was fun and the staff truly made it special! But for us it just did not quite live up to all the hype! Maybe it was just the items we picked, but I am not sure I would return on a future trip!

Nd the day old frozen dozen for $7 is a steal of a deal. The 3 stars in because of the lack of accessibility for the shop. My husband is an wheelchair user, thankfully he is an ambulatory wheelchair user so can stand but we had to lift his wheelchair into the shop which couldnt be done for everyone. I had asked to talk to the manager but was told they were out so asked the employee to pass it along. I really hope they did. We love this little bagel spot...I have about it all of the time. So I hope they put ramps in front so that more people can enjoy their delicious bagels

It was our first time here & from the moment we walked up the stairs onto the patio until the end of our time at the diner it was amazing. Service was beyond slow even for drinks and it wasn't full. They have open tables and it was Friday night so you'd expect they'd be fully staffed to serve. The service was good, not great but good. They have wheelchair ramps everywhere which was a huge highlight to see, especially since they had to add a ramp on multiple locations! Small but very nice and secluded patio with solid bushes! Some of the decor was very beautiful and unique. Loved the wall mural with all the colours! The best part of the experience was the food, it was actually really delicious. I was nervous about it because everything had a hit or miss feeling to it, but the food made it all worth it. Sandwich made to perfection, toast with butter also perfectly done, chickpea and curry soup was meh, but filling! The most important thing is the food being delicious and that’s why I would definitely come back!

It's still a great place to hang out and they have seating outside, which is great on a good weather day. Your dogs can hang with you outside with you too. The menu is totally different also. We were very happy with the crispy warm texture fries, hot gravy, and partially melted cheese curds. As a poutine connoisseur I’d rate their pulled pork poutine towards the top of my list. When I went to seattle something I fell in love with was the coffee trailers just off the side of the road, I thought they were so charming and amazing for incredible coffee on the go. When I came back home, I missed them because it was back to drive thru chains again. When we drove past this little gem I got so excited and it was added to my list of stops. I stopped this morning, bright and early before even the sun was awake. I got a sugar moon coffee - it was SO good. The coffee itself was potent and strong, but was cut by the maple cream. It was perfectly sweet without being synthetic or overly sweet. My husband got the hot chocolate and added maple, he was very happy with his selection. Coffee is so much better than Starbucks or second cup, and its great to support small local business - the prices were on par with Starbucks, if not a touch cheaper. I look forward to coming back here next week when I'm back in Fernie, and will miss it when I have to go home.

We are happy for the few reviewers who were able to actually purchase something and enjoy it. Have you ever heard of classic wooden window shutters? Especially in a mountain town? Then, miraculously, on the Friday we were leaving, we saw someone seated at the small window selling their goods - what was left of them. Weird. These are not our expectations of a world-class bakery. Where is the showcase displaying all of the wonderful choices to be had? Where is the ability to walk in and smell the delicious aromas of freshly baked bread or pastry? This place is weird on all levels and a business model we have never seen before. We researched this place before we left for Fernie and were looking forward to a huge cinnamon bun and possibly a lovely Latte to go with it. Kind of what a normal bakery would offer. Looked a bit dated in the pictures, but in person everything was clean and well maintained. Great location for walking to many places near by. The girl at the front desk was super friendly and gave great recommendations for things to do. It was also a celebration trip for our 5 years married and 10 years together in this last year and they were sooooo nice to not only leave a bottle of Prosecco but also a bottle of wine and a nice card. We read the reviews beforehand and were ready to wait. And wait we did. BUT they were running a special - $25 for a plate of wings & ribs AND a jug of beer. On the beer side, we tried the Lighthouse Coffee Lager which was pretty tasty. My friend had a few Caesars and said they were really good. However, one of the first things I noticed when I walked into this, Tim Hortons was how unbelievably dirty and smudged all of the glass doors were. As much as we prepare for camp food, the convenience of staying at the Fernie RV Resort is also being closer to other amenities. Today has been non stop rain all day. We feel lazy, spending indoor times playing games, watching movies inside the yurt. We decided to check out Bayleaf restaurant because of the proximity and it’s great reviews. We were not disappointed. Staffs were welcoming and friendly. Mango Lassi, masala chai were hit. Nepalese Thali was delicious with variety of lamb, chicken curry and daal. Since they are a fusion restaurant, one of our kids ordered poutine and said it was one of the best! Butter chicken with rice from the kids menu came with generous portions for $9.00 Overall, very reasonably priced for what we ate. Added to our favourite place in Fernie!
