The room itself had a comfortable bed, a small kitchenette and large clean bathrooms. The rooms tend to be cold in the evenings but there are portable heaters and a bed heater in the room. That said if youre visiting in the colder months, layer up. The breakfast pastries and scones were delicious! Downsides: We visited during winter/spring so the restaurant was closed. We werent informed til the night before which was a shame cause we had booked this place mostly for the restaurant. Ask them beforehand if youre interested in dining. Cleanliness could also be levelled up-there were lots of cobwebs in our room above the dresser and the blinds had brown marks on them.

Admittedly it was busy, but it took 45 mins for cocktails to arrive (along with the first course). Despite phoning ahead to double check it was OK to bring our own wine (against a reasonable corkage), this clearly put at least one nose out of joint.
