I did quite a bit of research before finally settling on Oakridge, and I have to say, it did not disappoint. The experience felt a little more personal compared to the bigger, more commercial wineries. The cellar door host who guided us through the tasting was absolutely lovely. She gave one of the best wine explanations I have ever had. She talked us through their red wines in such detail, then offered us their white and sparkling too. We really got to explore the variety. What stood out the most was when she started explaining about the soil types. That was something I never paid attention to, but it was such an eye opener. I left knowing that even the ground your grapes grow on plays a huge role in the taste. It made the whole wine tasting experience more meaningful. The ambiance was peaceful and relaxing. Floor to ceiling glass panels gave us the best view of the vineyard, and with the winter chill, I really appreciated the warm sunlight coming in. It was the kind of space where you just want to sit, sip slowly and enjoy the view. I would absolutely recommend Oakridge if you are looking for a winery that is not only scenic but also educational and memorable. It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip.

Hosted a drive day function at the Gallery and Emma our event manager was incredibly helpful. We dropped off the gifts and place cards and banner the day before and Emma had it all set up perfectly. We had a visit last week in a group of 4 plus a dog. Lady at the cellar door was very knowledgable and generous, we were offered even more than 4 wines to taste which is what you would usually get there when doing wine tasting. We had such an amazing experience here from start to finish, we were 10 people and we booked in advance, a very handy tip from one of my friends that regularly comes here. Mark one of the owners/chef brought out our steaks such a polite humble man good to see at such position he is still serving throughout the resturant and interacting with the patrons asking questions and just having general conversations. I took his 1st selfie with him when he told me cooked our steaks, so be sure to say hello to Mark when he brings your mouth watering steak. All the staff were very polite and attentive, the place itself was extremely clean throughout with restrooms and a drink bar at your convenience, there's ample parking opportunities also. We will definitely be back another day when we revisit the country side again but this time we will try your pizzas as we've heard they're just as good as your signature dishes and steaks. All the staff at Immerse were incredible, our guests were comfortable, well fed and well hydrated. The day ran so smoothly with no issues and the staff helped guide us to where we needed to be at the right times. We started with the mussels and the burrata with cherry tomatoes both absolutely delicious, with a perfect balance of marinated flavours and subtle spices. We only found it on recommendation from a local at another winery, and my my were we glad we did. Brad was wonderful, and you can see his passion for his wines written on his face. We loved that the selection of wines is about 10-12 options and for the tasting you can pick 5, so my husband and I were able to pick along our personal preferences. Personally the Chardonnay, Coldstone, and Sparkling wine (in that order) were my favorites, but I like a lighter more summery cheese pairing wine. My husband really enjoyed the bolder wines. Point being there’s a variety to satisfy any palate. Food wise, great options. We had the cheese plate with pickled veggies, the Brie was something special. The grapes are growing steps away from the tasting area, which lends to an incredible view from the property. Overall we very very much enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend a visit!

I was told this was one of the best places to get proper fish and chips, having had some fairly rough experiences. It's not all bad, but it fell very short of the gold standard. The chips themselves were better than average, although a little dry. The local potatoes available may have a lot to do with that. They weren't greasy, fried in a decent oil rather than animal fat. I don't know what they did to it but it was like it was cooked in extremely light tempura batter or possibly dusted in flour and grilled. No golden batter, and somewhat dry.
