The staff were kind enough to call us before we came in and let us know that their pizza oven was broken. I don't think many places would do that, so big thank you to them for thinking ahead. Although the pizzas were recommdend to us and we were looking forward to them, we really enjoyed the alternative burgers. We had the American cheeseburger and chicken burger. Both were delicious on brioche buns and the chips 🍟 were great too. My only feedback would be the dining area is very dark and could use a touch more lighting. The prices are extremely reasonable and are a huge draw card to visit again and again (which we did the next day).

Ann & Keith make your stay top notch with excellent communication starting with the booking process to a warm welcome upon arrival and continuous hospitality throughout your stay. The room was absolutely lovely with modern roomy bathroom, comfy king bed in the mezzanine, beautiful view of the slopes and plenty of room for the couch to fold out onto a double bed for our son. There is a lovely communal area with games & TV to hang out by the rooms or you can opt to go down into the cosy sitting area in the restaurant which has a lovely fireplace. We booked a 30 minute slot each day to sit in the spa and sauna after our day on the slopes. We found the accommodation ski track to end in front of Summit Ridge to make it an easy end to the day. The breakfast included was a hot yummy breakfast with lots of options & a wonderful coffee machine that made everyone happy in our group. We enjoyed a beautiful meal at the restaurant one night and even got to do a wine tasting on another. Thank you Summit Ridge for making our annual trip to Falls Creek the best one yet & look forward to seeing you next year!

I also learnt after trying to order at the till that I can't order food (at the bar) without providing a table number, which caused extra walking around the complex back to my table. Though we were rewarded with a cosy lounge with piano and restaurant on an upper level with open balcony and view of the Bogong high Plains. I had dinner here on a Monday night. Eggplant chips as entré and Gav's local smoked trout chowder. My friend had the pork belly bites as main. All were well presented, tasty and with fresh ingredients. Deconstructed lime raspberry and pear, cheese cake for dessert was a delightful end to the meal. Toilets were very clean and there's a small area with things for kids to sit and play. We had young professionals in their 20s with us. We did not do any cooking. All the bowls from cereal in the morning were washed by us. So the fact that we left apartment dirty -that’s another lie. I should also add that none of the bedroom doors shut closed . Also the heating was set by the hotel, you could not adjust it .It was so low that we were freezing cold! If there was any doubt whether we would come back , we definitely won’t be coming back now. If there was a rating of zero stars , that would be the one we would choose.

Shuttle pick up at the transfer station was prompt. Greeted on the street with our wrist bands (keys to everything) and shown our locker. Locker room is big and lockers for skis etc were great. The Deluxe Room is on the small side, but still comfortable. The only negative was the paper-thin connecting doors which let just about every noise from next door through. For the price, Astra should invest in some better sound proofing. The pool/sauna/steam (included if you are staying there) were great. The location is about as central to everything as you can get. Ski in/out is a bit of a stretch but the Falls shuttle stops nearby. The staff were all amazing. The bar/fire is the best on the mountain. Breakfast (included) was perfect. Diner meals at the restaurant were great. Highly recommended!

Our snowboard and ski bag fell of the cart/tray of the buggy and we had to chase after it for him to notice it. Helmet was banged up, board and bindings were damaged. We have our beloved gear that are well taken care of and not a seasoned skiers or boarders with rentals (hence the DB journey bag, if you know you know) Upon checking in, room wasn't ready, there were cleaners rushing here and there and we have been given the worst room to stay right across the staircase from above (room being in the basement floor). Moldy, small in space for even a family of 3-4. Booking was made months well in advance, paid more than normal rates and surely we'll expect better than this. It's a very discouraging start for our long awaited holiday and definitely a rip off.

The hotel has a great layout, as long as you don't mind stairs. The restaurant is cosy and the adjoining lounge for hotel guests only is excellent with a fireplace and lots of comfortable seating. The restaurant is very busy at lunch, and not as much at dinner but at either time they do great food. The only thing that could have been better was staff interaction. The complimentary luggage transfer was helpful, and the location is good for ski in/out but may not suit young children that can not. It is a pitty that it could be a nice stay but turn out to be a disaster due to the owners bias, aggressive and judgemental behaviour. Yes we made a mistake and did turn out with one extra infant but we then quickly corrected our mistake by booking another accommodation so the 2 families split. Day 2 as we booked for 6 with breakfast included so the other family came over to settle there belongings and also have breakfast, we ordered 6 serves which we truly believed we entiled for. He was at the restaurant and saw us at the time didn't say anything. We were about to leave for our morning lessons, he was outside and said to us I know you guys did the wrong thing, so straight away I know he assumed we all stay there, so I stopped him and explained to him we booked another place, he said then they shouldn't have breakfast here, but we paid for 6pp and entitled for 6 breakfast, but he insisted and said if you continue try to cheat I will kick you out. I guess at that point he just has no other reason to say we were wrong any more then he started to threaten us in front of our 3 young kids (3,7,8yr old) "if you said one more word I will through all your luggages out right now and call the police", at that point we feel threatened considering the kids safety and we were late to lesson I have to move on. For this whole experience he was bias to start with and he wouldn't care if we sort it out or not and if he thought we were doing the wrong thing why didn't he ask us at the restaurant to clear out any questions we would happy to explain and we truly believed we entiled for 6 breakfast if he think we were wrong he could have talk to us at the restaurant and explain to us what his thought was, and we would have talk through things peacefully. There are better ways to communicate rather then accusing and threatening people especially in front of young children. The poor 3 kids were traumatised and worried and kept asking about this the whole 4 days. The whole situation and misunderstanding would have resolved peacefully, if he stop using his bias, colored and judgemental glasses to look at people. What he did is really unnecessary and unreasonable. Now that I saw all the other bad reviews I wish I have seen them earlier I also saw he just copy and paste his same answer to everyone have the same issue, you can tell how much he cares, if I can let people know what happened to us and stop them in the same situation then my time here is well wasted. The owners Lachie and Amy were really friendly, helpful, and down to earth. Lachie offers dropoff/pickup which made transferring to/from the bus into Falls Creek super easy. The restaurant and bar was good food and good value, and the breakfast was a highlight of the stay. Location was really easy to get to and from the ski fields, and close by some other excellent food spots. We stayed in one of the renovated rooms with an en suite bathroom, very clean and tidy. The provided kitchenette and laundry facilities were also super convenient. Excellent value for money, will definitely plan to stay again.

The booking was held over from the lockdown period and it was great to finally get there! Lovely lounge and dining area with a nice view of the sunset and mountains. The rooms are a little unusual, our room had two bedrooms and a bathroom in between which was a bit awkward. The ski and drying room is tiny so couldn’t get my gear in there most days so left it on the outside racks. Quite expensive to stay there but that’s the snow right. Everywhere is pricy. The location is good for walking to places but you can’t ski in as there as it’s uphill. But all these are minor things. Overall a great experience and would recommend.

Nelse, you could really learn something about 'customer service' from the fabulous team at 1550 @ St Falls. For starters the iced chocolate was poorly made. It was simply cocoa powder and milk mixed together with some ice that made multiple of us feel sick after having. The breakfast meal didn't have any mushrooms, hash browns, spinach or tomato so we had to ask for them separately (which the staff made seem it was an inconvenience). When it comes to an exceptional dining experience that always going above and beyond then this is the place to go. Also, when it comes to Falls Creek dining experiences, they come out on top. You’ll always find them open even at the start of the season when most other places are closed, not that we really bother with them now anyway as everything we require is here. The recent renovations that they have undertaken have opened up the dining area too. The new bar looks fantastic and there even a new entrance from the outside and heaps of clothing/hat hooks to hang the snow gear on. Amy, Lachie and staff go out of their way to make sure you are looked after too. Always friendly, always welcoming.
