Deja was our waitress and she was an angel. She was so attentive and was so accommodating to our party needing separate checks. She had such a calming presence, gave great recommendations and overall we just had fantastic service from her, and all of the other Public staff who brought us food. I cannot overstate how delicious this food was. My steak special was perfectly cooked and I had to stop myself from licking my plate. The cereal milk was also so tasty! I wouldn’t get it again, but I would certainly try some of the other interesting cocktails they offer. I love a good house speciality drink. They didn’t really have much in the way of desserts for the gluten-free set, but you lucky wheat eaters have a bevy of delicious desserts to choose from. The most memorable part about the meal came at the end when our check was delivered in a real Book. The book was interesting with an almanac of predictions from 20 years ago. It was fun to flip through them. Our waitress was a sweetheart, and she was very patient trying to help us with our meals. Dad offered a piece off of his Club and a little potato salad... Not having had potato salad before, I found it to be alright, between that and the pasta salad, I love the pasta salad. The Club easily saved the entire experience for me, the small bite was exceptional and wished I had gotten that, and will if I go back.. The soup flight was alright, with tomato in for the first, garbanzo bean, poormans stew, shrimp chowder and lastly the chicken tortilla.. The Blue Key North had a ton of turkey, small amount of jelly which isn't terrible, the roll is well toasted, the pasta salad surprisingly delicious and different than what I am used to, in a pleasant way to contribute. I had not been to Redrock Canyon Grill in probably 10 years. I am glad we went back. We had a great experience! The service was top notch. Our server kept the beverages filled, and all the staff did a good job of picking up any empty plates, glasses, etc. which was really nice. He even asked up front if we had any food allergies. They unfortunately do not have a kids menu section, but our server told us that there are a few items that come in smaller, kid-size portions. The rotisserie chicken with the sweet glazed carrots was delicious! The Caesar salad was a little different, but pretty good, definitely fresh, and I liked the corn bread croutons. The filet was also tasty and cooked perfectly (asked for medium). It has a slight char taste from the wood-fire grill. Some may like that, others may not. The feedback from another in our party was that the shrimp scampi was delicious, too. We had also ordered the cornbread as an appetizer. They were polite about it, but just seemed unprofessional and realistically we would’ve been out before that time anyways and I feel like them as the workers should’ve known that it was unprofessional to do so and could’ve waited for us to leave clean our table and then placed down the sign. On top of all of that, our food was just subpar…not even subpar, but straight up bad. We’ve been to a lot of places in the city some good some OK but this is the first place we’ve been to be genuinely had bad tasting meals. 10 out of 10 wood NOT Recommend. Genuinely one of the top 5 worst places we’ve had in the city. I usually don’t like leaving negative reviews, but felt like this was necessary on how the entire experience was all around not a good time. We also like to support local businesses, but would not recommend bringing your loved ones here or wasting your money here. The staff was not welcoming or helpful whatsoever.

Anyway, the strawberries never warmed up which was unpleasant, but as I dug into the pancakes I started to see what looked like melted butter, until I realized that it was raw pancake batter. 75 percent of the pancake was completely raw. Okay, an oversight due to being slammed. Got it, not a big deal. The waitress was lovely, apologetic, and quick to return to the kitchen and try and get things back on track. Maybe because I'm sitting at the counter with a clear view of the kitchen, grill, and cooks, and I'm watching all of the other orders being heaved onto the service counter, but I would have expected to have been bumped to the front of the queue and not wait nearly a half hour for one replacement pancake. It is the best country fried steak I have ever eaten...hands down... and I am from the South so we definitely know how to do fried food. My mother ordered a breakfast that had pancakes. The pancakes were the size of her plate! I am not sure what was in the pancake batter, but it was so sweet and fluffy. I can tell you I've never had better pancakes! These folks are really doing it right. If you're looking for a great restaurant in Wichita, KS, you've got to check this place out.

After another 5-10min we get to the window the girl working the drive thru was nice enough to let us order at the window and was apologetic. Totally understandable. They got us our food out rather quick and I couldn’t wait to dive in! We drive off….. WRONG ORDER!! All we asked for were 3 singles, 1 with everything and 2 with no mustard or onion, then 3 reg fry. Open the bag and it’s ONLY mustard/onion. As someone who hates mustard, that was my last straw and tipping point of this terrible travel day. I had been dreaming of this burger the whole day…. "Just dunk it into the aujus real quick, and slap it on the grill and get them out of here" are some of the things we heard. When they came back they were warmer on the outside but still not what we wanted. When asked if it was good now we said yes because by this point we just wanted to eat and leave and not cause anymore of an issue. I had issue with my baked potato but I'll stop. In short, we don't have lots of money, this was a long planned special trip for an experience at a "high end" restaurant and we were very disappointed. Our waitress could not get our order down and we had to repeat ourselves at least 4 times. I ordered the number 1 meal, no cheese with a root beer float. She first had a hard time with making the root beer a float but thankfully it came out right. Our food took well over 50mins to come out and my burger had cheese on it when I was the only one who asked for no cheese. I didn’t send it back because I didn’t want to wait any longer to eat. Our fries and my aunts onions rings came out cold. Also for curly fries we got only ends, the fries were so disappointing. They did remake the onion rings and gave us fresh fries but they made us feel guilty for even asking. By the time we left the place was empty. Our family loves this place, I hope next time it will be a better experience.

Despite being branded as “crumbly,” the meat is very flavorful and stays together nicely. This food is rich in flavor compared to most fast food. American style burgers and sandwich food, some interesting drinks, ice cream options, even margaritas, the dirty kind. Today however, I had a horrible bacon/egg/ cheese on Sourdough bun that had burnt and tough edges on the bread, the eggs were greasy and undercooked, and there was 1 tiny piece of bacon fat buried in the eggs that were spilling out all sides of the bread. If I didn’t know better I would think they poured bacon grease into the eggs instead of using actual bacon. This isn’t the first time my meal has gone south at this Restraunt, it’s hit and miss constantly. I couldn’t eat my meal today. Other days it tastes great. If the help were all held to the same standard I think the issues would resolve themselves. Check your food before leaving with this place.
