Our first time visiting fusion noodle. The restaurant was really neat, clean and welcoming. The menu had a lovely range of food. We chose noodle dishes with three other dishes that we shared. The food was delicious. Service was great and the food arrived hot and we didn’t wait long for it. The BBQ ribs blew all the ribs I’ve had before out of the water, seriously great. This place is outstanding. My boyfriend and I stumbled across this place for the first time 7 months ago & we come every other month. The nasi lemak is my favorite. The orange sauce chicken (mine is vegetarian so not real chicken) was phenomenal. 🥰🍊 Definitely makes me return soon. The guy who served us was polite and helpful. Just like the blond lady and another woman. We ate plenty for £19.5/p. Enjoyed trying new dishes. If you like Chinese meals you should go there and eat as much as you like or can. Last time I visited (a good year ago), the place was dirty, run down, and the food was standard.
Today, we were pleasantly surprised by the smart interior updates making the place look clean and tidy.
The service was great, with the waiter being very kind, happy to help, and attentive.
The food was very affordable, with 2 courses and a drink for £10 being a highlight. The food was warm, tasty, and presented beautifully. For your money, the portions are a big size.
The only fault is that the exterior was the same old, and there was no one in there. More signage and a better entrance out the front would hopefully invite more people in.
Would highly recommend visiting.

Came here for last minute evening meal. Didn't want to get take away in as you pay for set meals and wanted a choice, so googled where to go and kachina came up... Even better they done buffet style. Note this isn't help yourself, which I personally don't like anyway, So you get choice of starters ( as many as you like, eat what you order and order more ) then a main each for set cost. The starters were so good we ended up with 2 lots of them and skipped the mains 😉 you can have a dessert instead of a main which is what we done, just a standard ice cream ( wasn't the best quality but still enjoyable) All food cooked fresh, staff efficient and courteous. I have been here a few times now, and the food has got better each time j have been. The food is nice some of the food out is not as hot as some of other dishes that may be out, but they have never been cold to the touch when i have been.
There is a lot of space ans tables, and the decor is a nice add detail at each different food. There is a wide variety of food and even fresh steak and fish at the front of jrc.
The staff are really nice and there is someone always coming around to see how the food is and take any plates away, my favourite dish is the duck pancakes, I have tasted better but the duck is still nice and go's really fast.

One of the longest serving buffet restaurants in Southampton, JRC Global offered not just Pan-Asian dishes but also dishes around the world like pizzas, paellas and burgers. I found my new favourite in chicken wings in cola that apparently is a Swiss cuisine.
Payment is made on arrival. Drinks are all reasonably priced (£3.50 for all refillable soft drinks and and beers are between £4 to £6) and can be ordered anytime during your meal and paid separately at the bar inside the restaurant. Service charges are already included so there was no hike or surprise at the end of the meal. During the busy hours, the dining may have a 2 hours limit but as far as my experience concerned I am normally full after 90 mins!!

1.The food was extremely salty.
2.When I was paying, I strongly requested to remove the service charge. The waitress insisted that I explain why. I told her it was because the food was too salty. She replied that I should have mentioned it after the food was served so they could remake it. However, they still refused to remove the service charge. This is illegal in the UK!!! I have been to many restaurants, but this is the first time they refused to remove the service charge! Also, most restaurants charge 10%, but this one charges 12.5%!!!

We were visiting the area and Fuchi were able to take our booking at short notice. They assisted with advice on local parking which was a short distance from the restaurant. The 'all in buffet' was excellent value for money as was the level of service. No pressure for gratuities but thoroughly deserved so no objection whatsoever in doing so. Order Singapore noddles paid extra for king prawns got tiny prawns.
Had chicken curry and chicken was raw and very cheap quality.
Had squid and was under cooked couldn’t eat.
The large spring roll was also raw and had to much batter, to which the chef agreed.
Only item that we ordered that we could eat was the boiled rice it was good.
Restaurant asked that we brought all items back so it could be seen and we could have a refund. The Chinese is half hour drive. I did not drive back as in total it would have been 2 hours round trip in total and petrol prices are insane, plus now I need to cook dinner.
Fuchi has always been a treat due to the distance and has always been delicious and reasonable in price.
The prices have raised a lot since I last visited and sadly the quality has dropped. If I could give 0 star I would.

The only criticism is (maybe it was on my night only) the restaurant is seriously understaffed, albeit pretty much every placement was filled the fact that we ordered drinks on two occasions and had to wait 20min & 10min respectively for them to arrive, which when you're sat at a table with no drinks, but a platter of food is annoying. They now do a 'buffet' style meal which we had as we enjoy that at other restaurants and prefer this to the full menu.
It was a great price and superb food, copious amounts. Really really enjoyed.

They have a good deal for lunch time. I tried two times this place. The salted fried chicken wings was very tasty and I tried two different noodles and both was good. This was voted one of the best Chinese takeaways in Hampshire last year so had to give it a go. Unfortunately it wasn't that great and not sure why it won.
I always have the crispy king prawns for starter and egg fried rice. The rice lacked flavour and the prawns weren't that great. It was also one of the most expensive ones I've been to.
Did not enjoy it overall. Better alternatives available in Shirley (see my other reviews).

The owners, Lynn and Richard are lovely people and the food is brilliant. Helpful nice staff and prompt pick up. Haddock was lovely white fresh fish with lovely golden crispy batter. Chips were fine but could be improved, I would cut them a bit bigger and fry a bit longer so they are more golden. Price was very reasonable. Would rather have chips wrapped in paper than the polystyrene cartons..this may save the planet and be cheaper too. The cardboard boxes are great plus the paper carrier bag. I would def give them a try and I would buy there again tho I don't buy fish and chips very often.

An absolutely fantastic restaurant serving a wide array of Asian foods ranging from Malaysian, Singaporean, Thai and Chinese cuisines. Food was top notch and reminicent of the meals I had during my travels in Asia. Truly well worth the price paid. Also, service was quick and efficient. Once there we actually found out we were the only booking which is surprising. A couple of other parties came in as walk ins after we had started.
The menu is all you can eat and you order the dishes you want to eat. Most of the dishes we ordered were really nice and the staff were all very friendly attentive (but without being intrusive) At no point were we rushed and we spent a whole 3 hours throughly enjoying ourselves

To eat in is absolutely brilliant and for £22 you can get all you can eat. We arrived at 6-30pm and didn't leave until 10-15pm due to the volumes of food they kept bringing out.
It hurts me to say though a couple of weeks later I ordered a take away from here which came very quickly but the quality of food wasn't good. The food was cold and they had missed the sauce on one of the meals with cold chips.
If you are on an evening out I would recommend here but if you are getting a take away I wouldn't recommend it.

Been going to China garden for over 30 years, my mum even longer. We live opposite. Sadly the last few years the quality of the food has just got worse and worse to the point of not even being edible and the price has increased several times making it one of the most expensive in the area. I've been ordering from Peony for many years and always go direct via their own website, so delivery times is always quick (within 30 mins on most occasions) no complaints from myself on that.
For the food, portion sizes is always generous and on this occasion we ordered large spring rolls, satay chicken, sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, chilli shredded crispy beef, egg fried rice and Singapore vermicelli. Plenty of food with enough for a decent meal the next day. All piping hot and still crispy. I was especially impressed with the satay chicken, very generous size and tasted delicious and perfect texture.

This has been our regular for years but it’s gone downhill recently. My adult kids went down for their order a few weeks ago and were told they’d ordered burgers and had to pay for them (we didn’t even know they did burgers)! It was sorted out in the end and the food was fine.

My second time having Wok&Go and definitely not my last. The price is mid range but looking at the thai green curry that I had in its box (pictures). It its literally stuffed in the box. The thicker the noodles the more filling it is and it stays hot for a long long time too! So you can walk home with the food in its bag and not worry about it getting cold. Depending on how busy it is and how many staff they have there, depends on how long your food will take.
Note: They only have 3 woks but they are still able to cook your food in less than 5minutes when quiet so rest assured they are doing their best if they are busy!
Make sure to use the student discount if you are one, just show your ID or unidays/NUS card and pick up a loyalty card to maxmise your freebies! You are able to order through deliveroo as well (more expensive however). Feel free to walk down or order ahead on the phone if you can and pick it up and take a walk. The food won't get cold!
The food is really tasty and I would recommend the thai green curry and spring rolls. They are very good and will fill you up for a long time. There is probably enough for lunch the next day!

I ordered a tofu pad tai, they first made it with egg, I came back in he asked me and which was nice, I told them I am vegan and he remade it politely, no problem. First time ordering - we wanted to try something new and after reading the reviews wasn’t sure what to expect. Had to wait a little longer for the food to arrive than I’d hoped for but it was so worth the weight. We got two mains and a couple of sides so we could get a selection. Great portion sizes - plenty of leftovers for lunch. Food was packed with flavour, the spice was just right and enhanced the food without taking over. The rice was cooked perfectly and the noodles are delicious - I could eat a plate of those on their own. Even the veg was cooked to leave a slight bite rather than turn to mush. The spring rolls were yummy and not just packed with bean sprouts. Absolutely will be a regular for us from now on.

This is a lovely place for a good takeaway. Great branding and menu. We've been twice and the service was good, however the girl serving didn't really have a clue both times. This takeaway is a shambles. First we were told the card machine wasn’t working and they’d call back. They didn’t call so we called them. I ordered food on the china woke app to be delivered for 8pm when I get home from work, it got delivered at 6.45pm while I was still at work. I phoned up china wok to be left on hold for 10 minutes and when I did finally speak to the woman she said "what do you want your food has been delivered" I explained i ordered it for 8pm but it has arrived at 6.45pm while I am still at work" she did not want to help me and she literally shouted at me down the phone then hung up.

We hadn't ordered from this restaurant before, but the 15% off online orders offer enticed us, so having had a look at various restaurants we chose to order from China Wok.
The selection of dishes available was impressive and the pricing for them was competitive. We found it was cheaper than nearby other Chinese Takeaways and the offer was highly tempting.
We ordered a selection of dishes and our order came to approximately £20.00 which I was delighted with, and this included the delivery charge. What was even more amazing was that from ordering, to arrival of the order, we waited less than 30 minutes!
Great service and very quick, the delivery driver was friendly and smiled too. I must also add that we ordered chips and they were very hot and fresh, the best I have ever had from a Chinese Takeaway. Also, the chow mein dishes we ordered were of good portion size and lovely flavour.
Overall really impressed with this restaurant and I would recommend it to all. Friendly and fast service offering good value for money. As a customer for the first time, I can safely say I will order from you again.

Very very disappointing, just to say we have been using wok this way for 3 years and the quality of food has gone down hill! We ordered the mixed platter, the ribs were so hard and overcooked with very little meat on them, the chicken skewer also overcooked and dry and what can I say about the salt and chilli chips diabolical. Most of the food went in the bin! I did ring to make them aware and the answer I got was 'we're really busy tonight but I'll let them know'. Saw the menu in the window which showed many veggie options. We were greeted by a friendly and helpful waitress. We opted for vegetable spring rolls as a starter. They were tasty, crispy and came with a delicious sauce. We then had vegetarian duck with mixed veg and vegetarian duck with black bean and green pepper. Excellent service and tasty food. We opted for the buffet (£26.95 each, minimum of 2 people). We went for 7 starters, and then 5 mains; this was a good amount, although I assume they adjust portions depending on how many you pick, but you can order more after if you've still got some room! The duck starter in particular was very good and a generous portion too (see photo). Everything was fresh and had great flavour. Sometimes when having Chinese food you can come away spending the rest of the evening needing lots of water (because of the high salt and/or msg) but this wasn't one of those times, so a big plus there as far as I'm concerned. If you opt for the buffet, order tap water (or anything else without bubbles!) to drink so you can make the most of trying out lots of the different food options. There's plenty of bars nearby to go after for a drink once some of that food has gone down!

The best takeaway in Woolston, period. These are some really hardworking bunch of guys who prepare fresh food right there in front of you. We always ask them to make our order spicy and are never disappointed. We love the prawn starters, their vegetable fried rice and curry sauces it’s the perfect dinner on a cold evening. This is the first time I have ordered from peking gourmet, purely because it’s cash only and I never have cash. However today I did and peking gourmet is very close to me and it has fantastic reviews so I thought I would try it after a disappointing experience with our usual Chinese. It was amazing! Great food, went for the buffet which costs a little over £13 and also comes with starters and appetisers, staff very friendly, helpful and polite. Ordered a pint of cobra and a glass of wine with the meal and the wine was a large glass, drinks came to about £10.
So for about £38 for two people with all you can eat is very good value. Will definitely be back, especially as I enjoy my curries and my wife likes Chinese.
Unfortunately I believe that this restaurant has now closed which is a major shame.

Terrible food and service. Takeaway was really late after placing order. When delivered the coke bottle was pushed down onto the food inside their delivery bags which caused all the food to leak. Cold bottle of coke on 'warm' food? Not the best thought out idea.

Good food, excellent service, hard to fault. I order from Happy Wok occasionally and usually straight after work. The food is consistently spot on, delivered rapidly and good value in my opinion. They take note of special instructions and the one time my order had an item missing (today), they called me back and quickly delivered a replacement. I don't understand the negative reviews on here as I have always had an excellent experience with Happy Wok and will keep ordering from them. Went down to visit a friend of mine at Southampton University. She recommended the food here and we ordered a takeaway on a Saturday night online through their website. Understood that a Saturday night at a Chinese takeaway store can be busy, especially in a place with a lot of students however, the wait was beyond ridiculous. We ordered at around 6.10, and didn’t receive our food till 7.50. During this time, I went down to the restaurant only to be told the food was already on its way to being delivered. We ordered at 8pm and got a delivery time of 8.35-8.55pm. After 9pm and no update we tried calling, it didn't even ring and just said line busy. I decided to drive there to check the place existed only to be met with disdain and terrible customer service.
The delivery had been collected 5 minutes before I got there which by that time was half an hour after the latest delivery time arrival of 8.55pm. They refused to acknowledge the fact this was unacceptable and simply passed me a pack of prawn crackers as consolation and said they were busy.
I said I tried calling to check on the order and got told the phone was busy. When I went to call the number to prove it didn't ring through, I saw them turn the phone on. They then started getting lots of calls so I must not have been the only one trying to get through.
In short, the food arrived much later than we were told when ordering and they refused to accept any responsibility for this. DON'T ORDER HERE!!

I tried to speak to the restaurant and they said they won't correct the order i ordered from Justeat. I did not receive the spring rolls advertised as free. The pork wasn't in the pork chow mein. Haven't had a takeaway from this place in eons, but OMG - bad decision! Food was simply terrible.
The crispy lamb with garlic turner out to be soggy lamb in gravy.
The crispy chilli king prawn turned out to be soggy, over battered, slimey, flavourless yuk. Everything had a horrible texture and sauces were glupey.
I think this is possibly the worst Chinese takeaway that I've ever eaten (and I'm retirement age!).

I tried Golden Pond on Friday as my normal Chinese takeaway was closed and I was scared to try it out. I’ve got to say that it has outnumbered my expectations and this is now my go to Chinese takeaway. The food was lovely and had an amazing flavour. I normally go to the China Garden and the chicken chow mein is quite bland however this chicken chow mein has got amazing flavours and it’s not as greasy. I highly recommend getting food from here. The banana fritters were also lovely. The delivery woman was also a pleasant person to speak to.
