There is lots of competition in the high street for coffee and food and Costa just doesn't sell itself, the shop looks closed from the outside due to dim lighting, its getting a bit tatty after a few years of use , could do with a revamp or a lick of paint. It's one of the only places with an outside space , a rear courtyard and that's why I like it however , the fences are shoddy , the paving is dangerous in parts , weeds grow through the paving there are no umbrellas for when it's really hot or raining, it's not a nice place to enjoy a coffee. There are lots of regulars I see in there who obviously like the coffee and support a coffee shop that has good service , sometimes a bit slow but good coffee takes time . It seems the senior management at costs dont care about godalming , maybe the numbers are not as good as they were but it's time they supported their staff and treated the customers to a nice environment , and maybe they will come back. Management you should looka t where other coffee shops fail and beat them at their own game , you have good staff and a prime site . Please support your staff and customers as much as we all support you. I'm not the only one who wishes it was nicer.

The food was delicious, almost every guest asked where the food was from and we had lots of empty plates! Tables not cleared, glasses not out for water, no serviettes- and shamefully food quality dropped! My poached eggs were completely inedible and food borderline cold on my breakfast today and was no staff around/checking/clearing to raise it! I’m hoping this is a one off miss at the cafe today- but her absence makes a large difference!

This place is off the beaten track on a busy road on the way out of Godalming but I have to say that it is a genuine hidden gem. The coffee is easily the best I've experienced in Godalming. However, what makes this place stand apart from almost anywhere (and I don't say that lightly) is the quality of service, which is above and beyond. The owner was incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and kind, especially to my disabled daughter. He couldn't do enough to ensure she was happy, and made a real effort to interact with her, which was greatly appreciated. This place really deserves to be successful, despite a difficult, half out of town location, due to the care and thoughtfulness of the owners (as well as the food quality, of course!). We shall be going back there, for sure, and will be trying some of the interesting south Asian cuisine.

We have been coming in since they opened and they’ve continued to develop their product and service offering to support the community. The owners are so kind and considerate.. Their dedication to the local community is amazing- they really care. I always buy my milk and yogurt here as so fresh and delicious. Their treats are gorgeous too- especially the Karen’s Danish cookies! We had a few of the curries this weekend and they were amazing! Our son who is 3 loved the butter chicken and also had some of my korma. The chicken biryani was gorgeous and my husband loved the lamb madras- spicy and stunning. We’ll be back for more!
