The craziest part is it’s so busy, I guess because it’s the closest breakfast spot around the hotel.

It was easy to find and get in and out. The building is a little dated which is why I gave it a 4 star for atmosphere. However, the food made up for it! I had the banana French toast made with homemade banana bread topped with sliced banana and orange butter (creamy butter with orange zest). I added blueberries to the toast and am glad I did. It was a huge serving, no way I could have eaten all of it. I also go the yogurt parfait which had a great selection of fresh fruit. It, too, was huge but I knocked it out because it was so good. My hubby got the steak and eggs which he said was perfectly cooked and seasoned. He also got the sourdough toast and claimed it was the best he had eaten. This is a great place to get a meal, don't pass it up if you're in town!

While he is in the restroom, I told her, he will just be a minute. The female worker said we were being rude for making them stay past closing and we needed to leave for safety reasons. I asked for her name and she wouldn’t provide it. My husband came out of the restroom pretty quickly and we left. I let her know I was going to let it be known how we were treated. We will not be back at this location, I really hope you take this complaint serious because if this happens to us, I promise, it’s happening to a lot more customers. But the food is misleading and is falsely advertised. The empanadas did not look like the pictures nor does it look like the billboard menu at front door. You pay $6 for something that is barely smaller than a hockey puck and the filling is very unfulfilled (one thin slice of ham and chese that probably has a diameter of an inch.) The reason I say diameter is because again, it's shaped like a small circle. Flavor though for me was alright. The drink was extremely hot but it wasn't too bad (hot cacao!) Update in response to the owner: It is misadvertisement when you look up the café shop and see pictures of traditional empinadas. It's unfortunate that the one I got didn't look like the traditional one but I do respect the crafts that are in this but I believe that you're shooting high for your margins. It's good to be crafty and put values with what you sell, but as a customer, I am here to eat and enjoy the flavors so please keep that in mind in regards to the longevity of your business. You want it to be a place where you can have more regulars and be known for your crafts then there should be compromises being made. The last time I went (about 6 months before this visit), I was pregnant and needed the meat in the center to be completely heated through for health reasons. I took it back and they couldn’t warm it further because I already had consumed part of it so they offered me a new item more warmed but it still was a bit cold in the center. Today, when we ordered the quiche, it was also the same cool temperature in the center. I ended up taking it to go so I could warm it at home. I also notice that they still struggle with the front desk staff.
