Room had not been properly cleaned or vacuumed as evidenced by stepping on a contact lens and finding a dirty tissue beside my bed. No internet access the entire duration of our stay, 4 days. That meant no tv as it needed internet access. These items were reported to the front desk each day of our stay and were never fixed. We were never offered an apology or explanation. I had to call the front desk the 2nd day to request refill pods for the coffee service and clean towels. I asked that the GM be notified of these issues and received no follow-up. This could be a lovely property but no one seems to care about hospitality or the customer experience. I was incredibly disappointed as I had been very excited to stay here. There are nicer hotels in the area, don’t waste your money here.

While the location as perfect for exploring and great meals, the service was far below expectations. We stayed in the Cove to enjoy central AC, however we did not have internet or working tv the entirety of our trip- we made 2 calls about this issue and it was never addressed or resolved. The hotel is a historic building and run down. Our room and bathroom were clean but tiny, not even a chair; but I don’t think a bigger room would be worth the added cost for us. If you want something on the beach, it is a great location. The beach service only runs in peak summer months but is a key “amenity” for their nightly $40 resort fee. One week after Labor Day and it was completely self service with all the chairs and umbrellas piled up near the beach path. The lobby is primarily a dining room with minimal space to relax if the weather isn’t great. Overall, not worth the expense. Next time, I would stay somewhere else.

We were supposed to have coffee delivered each day before 8am. It would come a bit after 8 and was lukewarm by the time it arrived. We also went to breakfast at the hotel restaurant (Earth). Our server was great but he was the only one there and service was super slow. The room itself was a bit strange as well. There was no place to put clothes aside from a bureau, which was jammed in the bathroom in an awkward location. The bathroom mirror was made of this artificial wood thing, but was small and too high for my wife to see her face (she's a normal height!).
