The menu looked overwhelming on their website and was just as huge (impressive?) when you see it above the registers. I will say the very “boring” omelettes we ordered were tasty and fresh, though I was sad they came with packaged vegetable spread and not butter. The encounters with the staff were hit or miss, as 2/3 of the people I spoke to weren’t very pumped to be there. The other was very sweet. In fact I ordered an Arnold Palmer (1/2 lemonade and 1/2 tea, and requested unsweetened tea in it). I quickly realized I was given sweet tea and no lemonade but the process to correct the drink mistake was greeted with a way less than enthusiastic experience. I apparently confused her and then decided to just make it a plain unsweetened tea. The lobby was nicely decorated and could easily get packed on a busy day I’m sure. The dining room was like stepping back in time. The classic decor was packed with a largely older crowd who were happily chattering amongst themselves and not buried in their phones, which made for a wonderful atmosphere. A smiling waitress greeted us and I ordered a sweet tea, which was very good and served to me at a table that was charmingly worn from many cleanings over many years. All of our pancakeswere also so tough, we had to use a knife to cut them. My country ham (that cost extra) was so tough, I ended up throwing it away because I couldn't hardly chew it. My husbands beef tips were tough and just plain nasty. This is not the first time we've had an issue with this location but decided to give them another shot. Never again!! I'll never go back and wish I could get my money back cause the food, wait and attitudes left alot to be desired

He said ok one moment. The next thing I saw was him informing the original waitress (who walked past me and ignored me several times) that I was waiting on my order. She then ran her hands through her hair in frustration and shrugged him off. The male server returned to the front and said nothing to me, and seated the family behind me. I stood there an additional 10-15 minutes, looking at my order sit under the warmer THE ENTIRE TIME I STOOD THERE. Eventually a younger Caucasian male server with brown hair bought me my order. He was pleasant and asked did I need anything else. I was not going to take my frustrations out on him. And of course my meal was cold and one could tell it had been sitting for a while. This was the WORST experience I have ever encountered at an ihop! I felt discriminated. The restaurant was not even busy, and there is no excuse for the service I received! This was highway robbery - pancakes are bread, and bread should not be that expensive. It was tasty though and did give us enough energy to make our drive home. Not only was is customer service wonderful while we were eating but he went out of his way to help us on Sunday afternoon when our tire went flat in the parking lot. It was very hot outside and he invited my children and I inside to stay cool, as well as offered us cold drinks. He also went above and beyond to check on my husband outside and offer him cold water while he worked on the tire. The kindness that he showed us was truly heartwarming. I have never had an issue before last week. I have been using the convenient app to order my food and walk over to pick it up. Never had any type of issue.
